Lets hope they didn't sell it to a guy who is giving it to his teenager to drive to school That car is a museum piece. Never seen original paint interior, and engine condition like that in any old VW .that is totally rare and a once in a lifetime find. Probably never see one like that again. I just cant say how rare that is.
In 1961, Hurricane Carla hit Galveston. They predicted a big tidal surge and so my parents evacuated us to stay with our aunt in Ft. Worth. Which was good because we got 3 feet of water in our house in Texas City. While we were at our aunt’s, one of her girlfriends who was a teacher came by to show us her new 1961 VW Ragtop Bug which was pretty close to that color. She had taken a teaching job in Alaska and was leaving the next day to drive her new Bug to Alaska with all of her Earthly possessions to start her new job, and a new life. I was envious, even though I was only in 4th grade. The original adventure vehicle.😎
UNBELIEVABLE!! What a finder's dream! Whoever gets it needs to store it as a museum piece!! I didn't know that VW built bugs with the flip out rear side widows in '63! Did I already say, Unbelievable?!!! 😂
So old video, but I wanted to note that the blue plug wires are original on early cars like this. That's why in the owners manual they appear as grey. Awesome car!
my 63 bug i had from 16th 1975bday till dec of 1977 i was 17.5 needed heat and defroster bought 69 cougar the bug lost oil the cooler came loose in a field bumpy then upgraded to 1500cc new bearings pistons cylinders then later got cougar for heat after one cold morning i used a scraper inside and passed the will county police with a blocked windshield nneeded defrost the 69 cougar was warm inside before leaving the driveway
That’s a beautiful car. But if it’s original. Why….. Why, would you put a fool filter under the hood, and on top of all those sparky, red hot parts? It’s a curiosity. You know, it has a screen in the tank, and a screen in the FP. Right? See…..that’s what it left Wolfsburg with. I’m just curious.
I have no idea. They took it to a shop to make it road worthy so they could drive it down from Kansas. Now that it's back on the road I'll take care of all the little stuff for them.

I know! It's even better in person. Nicer than most restorations I've seen lately.
Unicorns do exist. What a beautiful color.
That whole car is amazing. It even smells new inside!
What a cool find. Hope it gets a lot of TLC in it's future.
I feel like thee barn finds are getting harder and harder to find. If I hear of one I’m going to jump on it!
You can jump on this one! It's for sale!
Beautiful bug, awesome story.
Really crazy 2023 find! Really nice color, hopefully whoever buys it drives it like it deserves.
Indeed "amazing"!! You're a lucky man, Jason!
I'd feel luckier if I was able to buy it!

Beautiful
Reminds me of my dad's bug he bought new in 1965. I got to drive it starting in 1971.
What a great find ! Woud love to collect this to Sweden !
Looks really clean! Not bad for sitting many years! 👍😎
Dude I would have loved to go for that ride.
All I can say is “Sweet”!
Awesome bug and story!!
What a beaut!
Very cool!
Loved it, keep it up!
Just came across this video what a peach where did it end up ?
wow
Who knew some redbull in the carb starts old VWS...;)
Hey ! get some one to change all of the gas hoses , even under the tank .
That's been done. Actually, they put a new tank in too.
@@OldVolksTV I stuck a cloths line braided wire through my gas line and did the rust come out !
What an awesome car!! Is there any issue with unleaded gas in a motor built when gas was leaded?
I think it's OK. If it starts to have issues they can use an additive, but I've never heard of anyone having issues.
I saw and spoke with the owner of the million dollar 1964 bug that was never titled and only had 25 miles on it.
Eu tenho um Fusca 62 a venda, todo original.

I would think this car might be one of those million dollar cars. I hope they sold it for a load of $$$.
Still for sale, and more affordable than you think.
Hey can I buy this car off you
Great car. It is a shame that someone painted the wheels though.
Yeah. That's actually the only thing that was changed. I just found out today that the blue plug wires are ORIGINAL for 63!
@@OldVolksTV I was about to comment those are the original plug wires.
Amazing car and story! How do I access your Amazon store please? What is it under? Couldn’t find it?
