Audi Q6 e-tron 2025 review: Next-gen electric car puts new BMW iX3 and Mercedes EQC SUVs on notice

- The 2025 Audi Q6 e-tron has been a long time coming, but it's set to propel the German premium brand into the future. Far from just another mid-size SUV, the all-new model is a fully electric vehicle (EV) that debuts a future-proof platform for the four-ring marque. Needless to say, it means business.
And so it should. After all, the Q6 e-tron is going tyre to tyre with the BMW iX3 and Mercedes-Benz EQC in a rapidly expanding zero-emissions segment, with the Polestar 4 also commencing deliveries shortly alongside the second-generation Porsche Macan, upon which the Audi is very closely related thanks to their shared Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture.
In this expert review, CarsGuide Journalist Chris Thompson travels to Spain to get an early taste of the new Q6 e-tron before its Australian launch. The question is, has it become the default option for buyers of premium mid-size SUVs?

Audi never disappoints. Still wish the digital cockpit was a bit more integrated.
No mention of tyres, space saver or can of goop?
Sorry for not mentioning it! It has a tyre repair kit.
Dear god give me this in Australia amen 🙏
The design and technology are laughably behind Chinese EVs that cost half as much.
Very astute assessment. These cars will never get to Australia as Audi/VW etc is heading for bankruptcy due to its daed at the wheel development and mad pricing policies
