I feel you totally. Did this job for 2 months. It’s crazy what they expect the drivers to do. I was up to 185 stops. From the time I’d pull in to load and carts weren’t even ready to the extreme conditions outside and their monitoring your every move. You made the right decision to get outta there. Hope you found something better 👍
Its a good job for someone who needs money and a steady income for a while and during that time you work toward a better job or career. I am a driver for Amazon, I love it, yeah its hard work, but it is also great in many ways. I go out alone every day, nobody bothers me, I never look at the clock and think, how much longer, the time flies by, I am always running fast to end early if I can and each day is like a new round of golf, or some sporting event. you have a certain amount of time to drop off all these packages, they based it on your abilities, so the challenge is simple, stay busy, organize yourself well and get it done, if you do it right, it's fun and easy and you can do well until you find your path in life. there are a lot of better jobs out there, this is not a career, so definitely move on from Amazon when you can, but it is a good pace to learn a good work ethic and get in shape while making money.
@@mattpipke5716 The best part about your post is "work ethic" The pay isn't bad,.. but, you do have to bust ass. I did 136 stops on my second day solo, which was yesterday actually. I'm also 45 years old.. these younger guys looking for a quick buck and quitting.... best of luck to ya.. I also finished early and did a rescue yesterday.. for what its worth..
Mistake #1 falling into thinking that your ride along was your friend because he talking about how bad the job is. This fool gonna go back to the office and tell em EVERYTHING you said.
You failed at reporting a faulty van. I don't wanna hear your entitled crying lol 😂 try it out here in the desert. I quit growing weed to do this. It's easier, more money and less republicans

I am a former teacher, and welcome this work. Not being in a classroom with unruly kids, papers to grade, lesson plans, pushy parents, crappy principals. This is light work compared to that.
I don’t blame you. It’s so bad with kids now days. Parents aren’t there for them or they don’t teach them how to be behaved people. I have mad respect for teachers.
First I want to say that when I went to school , I loved my teachers. They were motivating. They gave us students Something to look forward to. They talked respectfully and honestly. Most children even idolized some teachers without a positive role at home. Now- Fast forward 25 years and I have no respect for very few teachers anymore and never ever thought I would utter those words. Yes I understand they are underpaid, stressed, get very little credit, see no light at the end of the tunnel. I’m very concerned with that. It’s not for the money or fame .inspiration, positivity, and pride in your work along with great work ethic when they are taught by @ what I consider unconventional methods” these “teachers” why can my son video one whole week of school and I hear every teacher cuss; downgrade the currents world situation and say there parents are uneducated to say the least. I did not believe my children for many years, then other parents spoke up so he proved it to me along with the 7 out of 9 teachers he has his senior year. I have hours of this stuff, When you hear over half the teachers cursing/insulting/ Threatening/ / Embarrassing students. Good student I’ll say. My son was not one of them.Btw. He has great grades and great relationships with his teachers, but he said he think something’s wrong with the way schools are going and not sure if it’s normal so we set 3 a 10 to 12 hour Amazon delivery driver day you A-hate your job. B- never had a physical job in your life. I’m a marine veteran firefighter paramedic so I do know labor by the way. And I also was a substitute teacher. And I am totally embarrassed by what teachers have become. I put my youngest child in homeschool, and now that my oldest are in college and working I’m planning on starting a UA-cam channel with video and audio clips of an excess of 75% of every educator that they all three had over the 13 years in education institutions. the teachers in the world today at all three levels of education. Probably college we shall see. Stop complaining. I have never heard a guy in a military fire fight complain of his pay. Nor have I heard the man running into a burning building or pulling a dead child from a vehicle that he didn’t get enough pay. Find a career and do it because you love it and you feel like you’re doing something positive in the world. Don’t stay in a job you hate. And pass on that hat to others it’s a vicious cycle. I wanted my children away from school before I started the channel, but I think there will be many interesting things to see and hear what’s going on in the Schools today. 99% of parents have no idea.
I just quit Amazon today. They gave me 344 packages to deliver. My van was so packed I couldn’t even move around in the van, I had to crawl over tote bags just to get overflow packages. That’s when I realized I’m worth more than this. I only delivered 4 packages then I headed back to the fulfillment center, left all of their work stuff in the van along with all those packages and left. I’m not going to over work and break my spine for some chump change. Then you get mad that I get overtime? Sorry not sorry. Eff dat.
That's exactly what I have been experiencing in the almost 2 months i've worked there. I don't know if I will make it that far though like you said, it's not worth it breaking your back over. I am going to take my time and cross my fingers I get the boot so i can collect unemployment.

As a FedEx driver I can relate with you on this topic. Been doing this for 3 years, while dealing with the Arizona heat, imagine delivering packages in 115°F heat in the dead of summer with a truck that has no A/C. The truck is all steel and it gets above 150° in the back of the truck. I’ve had coworkers who have gotten heat related illnesses. I’ve dealt with some nasty racist individuals to the sweetest people. FedEx is a wild ride for sure. I respect all of the delivery drivers from all companies and competitors. You guys get paid better and it’s an actual career with more opportunities and raises…Amazon delivery driver is a dead end job and only people with no goals or future work there
Preach! I had to deliver to a customer today which has a gatekeeper at the entrance of the community. Customer left a comment in the notes saying to leave my name with the gatekeeper because Amazon drivers get in too easily. Comment made me feel some type of way like I’m just a body dropping off a package.
I could only imagine what you'd think being in my shoes I'm sitting at 250 pounds doing deliveries barley 5'5. I have to do this job to pay my bills and get my health back on track tho.
Worked for Amazon DSP back in late 2020. It was fun job and all, but got tired of peeing in empty bottles and dealing with asshole dispatchers because they track everything you do lol
@HERLEGASEA not every delivery route is in an area with stores. I have to walk into the woods to take a shit because I deliver in a rural area where the nearest gas station is usually 15-20 min away.
i can do 198 stops and 350 packages with business and aptments and residence with no rescues. i wave my breaks and drink fluids for my lunches. these are the same losers i deny rescues so they have to do their routes

I ain’t gon lie the ride along could’ve most definitely helped dropped some packages off but Brodie sitting on his a** on his phone like a passenger princess.
Why would he help? He's on a nursery route, if you need help on that the job aint for you. The only thing the ride along is supposed to do is answer questions and give advice
Yall FRRRR SOMEEE BUMMSSS! Just do the damn job! You applied, did the interview, did the 3 day training and drivers test, then when you are doing your nursery routes you want to complain? Tf kinda logic..
Truthfully, he can't really help.... Cuz keep in mind, it's HIS route... The phone he's using to scan the packages, the route is assigned to HIS Flex account.... And when you log into your Flex account it can only be used on 1 device at a time.... So let's say he did get up and help right? How is he gonna scan the packages? You HAVE to scan the packages to mark them as Delivered.... At best all he can do is run the packages up to the door and walk away.... which is NOT gonna help him Now if there was a way that he can also get a 2nd Rabbit (The phone Amazon provides you) and they both are linked to the route.... THEN that would be possible.... But you can only work off one phone at a time
No, they couldn't, because the mor*ns at Amazon only give you 1 delivery device when you have a helper......so only 1 person can deliver at a time. The other guy can do almost nothing, except maybe sort in the back and carry an extra box on the rare deliveries where you can't carry it all yourself.
Wow. Next time I order something I’m going to leave a care package for my Amazon delivery driver. I’m in Arizona. The temp goes up to 120 degrees sometimes 🥵.
I’m currently running deliveries in AZ for Amazon and honestly I enjoy it very much it’s corny BUT TRUE “when you fail to prepare you prepare to fail “ also his mood about from the start was concerning loo
hope you're still on the job. I started a couple months ago and this is almost exactly how I felt my first couple days. took me a few weeks but learning tips and tricks from other drivers while rescuing or being rescued really helps. I never got a ride along so I had to figure it out on my own. Sorting packages helps a ton and if you're able always be jogging on every stop before you're lunch it makes things go a lot quicker. I also take a little time on my lunch to setup the back of van by organizing overflow and sorting my current bag.
Yeah and people be talking about how they've been at amazon for 4 years and get a dollar per package on rescue routes. dude this job sucks and the people who stay there are fucking losers. do better and find a job that at least pays $5 more per hour. it blows my mind that people stay at this. it's terrible and everyone who works there, no matter how much you feel like you have progressed, will always be nothing but a povo and a loser
Honestly, I don't think this job is too hard, but I come from construction and I'm in shape. I quit after one month because they didn't guarantee the 40 hours weekly (I was doing like 34 average), hence it was very little money.

Not to mention, I couldn't work for Amazon on principle. They are pretty much evil and destroying the World as we know it. Of course, I use it like everyone else.
personally, i feel like this job is mostly mental. you have to organize and prepare for the day each day. if you come in feeling defeated, you will be defeated. your day could have been different with a "ima learn this and get better" attitude. when i was a ride along, i helped sort at every stop while the driver did the leg work, after 1 Hr we switched roles. your attitude has to be on point because that work isnt physical
@@marxman300 oh damn then that makes sense to hurry up and get it done. Here they pay hourly which doesn’t make sense. I’d take my time and get as much hours as I could.
I work at the Amazon fulfillment center and it’s way better. Work is easy, warehouse is climate controlled with fresh water to drink. Plus you can work overtime and make 1k a week if you want.
I thought delivery driving would be easier than warehouse. Man was I wrong! I worked in an Amazon warehouse for 2 years during Covid. The benefits and overtime pay were waaayyyy better. But the tradeoff is driving is a bit easier on the body than the warehouse, but productivity rates are more demanding and dispatchers will threaten to fire you in 2 weeks if you don't pick up the pace.
You're sound weak br0, as a man it doesn't matter how you feel you do what you gotta do to get through especially you since your a father.... I do this currently been with amazon for 7months now in Vegas 115 degree weather..... You got this just hang in there
I work out in Syosset. Today, i just did 357 pkgs and 152 stops. We don't have any step vans, or Rivian Vans, so we have to settle for the crappy ProMasters. The A/C is weak, there's no ventilation in the cargo area, so it's pretty much as hot as H*ll itself. Managers don't care if you usually finish quickly; if you're falling behind because of things out of your control (like traffic) then they still berate you. My DSP has this culture where *rescues* are frowned upon, yet the workload isn't evenly distributed. The quicker you are, the more work they give you; they scheduled me 4 days in a row, and by Saturday, I'm fatigued, but they don't care. You're just a disposal robot to them; if you don't meet their unrealistic expectations, they'll just get someone else. No sense in killing yourself for them when they think so little of you. I'm moving onto unionized freight soon; Amazon is just a stepping stone for the time being. Get out while you can. I'd never recommended it to anyone longterm, unless your goal is to start your own DSP. For $20/hr it's not worth it. Go to FedEx or UPS. The workload is there but at least you're appropriately compensated (moreso UPS)
Damn son! I just started delivering with Amazon too. Here in south Louisiana gets so damn hot! If my van didn’t have A/C I’d quit too. At least my DSP makes A/C mandatory for us! If a truck ain’t got no A/C it’s considered unsafe to drive.

There is no better feeling that accomplishing a goal you set for yourself. 15-year veteran from FedEx Ground, My only problem with Amazon is that we only work 4 days a week, and I watch all these videos over the past few years and I noticed that everyone only works three or four days a week.... I understand this strict on following the hours of service and regulations, doesn't mean they can't give me 5 days, It doesn't mean I can't work 5 days and then they have me come in as a rescue driver for a few hours before the time cuts short of hours of service.... At least get me in a little bit, But the money seems so small because the hours of service cuts us off, at least put in a placement where we can sign the waiver saying we don't want overtime hours, But 4 days a week and cutting it I ain't a teenager, I'm not acceptable for childlike money 500 weeks ain't cutting it😅😅😅😅
Work Smarter than Harder!!!! If it is better to do the flex an make more money then do it !!!!! All of distribution trucks don't have air including USPS ....... It should be law that all trucks should be equipped with AC and Heat !!!!!
Nah real talk that's what I'm saying! I have an interview today at 1:30 3 hours from now lol but I've been doing Amazon flex since 2016 and now out here in Los Angeles there are $90 to $115 routes for 4 hour routes that have anywhere from 20 to 49 packages that I "always" finish in 2 to 3 hours max. So seeing u bring up Amazon flex just confirmed what I was thinking. It's less money for more work and stricter rules and policies.
You're also putting wear and tear on your own vehicle plus paying the insurance and gas. It doesn't pay more realistically. You won't get benefits at all either doing flex
I started delivering for Amazon Oct 2019 right before Covid, then everything shut down, I had to pop a squat outside to pee. Job not that hard, ole boy just needs better work ethic 🤷🏾♀️ I’m a nurse and routinely have to turn and position 300+ pound patient on ventilators so they don’t get bed sores. I have technique and work ethic. It’s hard work but worth it. The key is to not do these kind of jobs beyond a few years. But quitting after one 8 hour shift. Nah can’t agree.
I was a mover. Hauling 300lb furniture up 4 flights of stairs for 8-10hr's a day. 1500lb gun safes, fridges, appliances, dragging a dolly with 200lbs in boxes up stairs. Before that I did masonry, carrying bricks and mixing cement in the sun. This shit is worse. It aint about the strain and effort, it's about the relentless pace for 10-12 hours. The pissing in bottles because you don't have time to pull over and use the bathroom. The stress of having to break rules that can get you fired just to meet quota, etc. My parents were nurses. You're leaving out the part where in between patients you're walking around in air conditioning distributing meds and bullshitting with your friends.
Job is not that easy. Constantly moving in and out of a vehicle, have to eat on the go or get behind, walking up many stairs, running long driveways all while being hot. Have to watch out for dogs constantly while on properties. Wake up, and today might be the day you get bit. You can’t say what’s easy if you’ve never been in the position.

Probably college we shall see. Stop complaining. I have never heard a guy in a military fire fight complain of his pay. Nor have I heard the man running into a burning building or pulling a dead child from a vehicle that he didn’t get enough pay.
At best all he can do is run the packages up to the door and walk away.... which is NOT gonna help him
Now if there was a way that he can also get a 2nd Rabbit (The phone Amazon provides you) and they both are linked to the route....

You going back to Amazon?? It’s the future but alas it’s also the past. HOW IS YOUR FUTURE SELF GOING TO HANDLE THIS GAME? Plan ahead. Bring your A Game. Mentality is everything. You pushing shopping carts in your future past. Bring treats for dogs, ice water for the heat. Gone are the days of having choices. I’m considering getting a 2nd full time office job for myself and going back in the office 5 days a week and remote work my existing job. But I have to find a way to get full remote.
Been there done it 😢I got respect for those who do it. The job isn’t easy and not for the weak!
You're telling me you chose a job that requires deliverying many packages outside and you're surprised it's hot and theres a lot to deliver? You're a very smart man
Probably because it was your first day they gave you an easy route but from what I be hearing most drivers get like 200 routes on average and that’s before peak season.
“ and i gotta look for every single one of these “ 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I used to deliver a 27 foot box truck full of furniture each day. This looks cake.
3 years in, easy money.
Did you not call your supervisor or who ever runs the dsp? I thought they had to provide AC and if it breaks down during your route they are supposed to bring you another van to trade
You gonna be waiting for 2hrs 🤫
You get paid for those two hours crybaby
It be the dogs for me. They just be out on the lawn at the rich people houses. 😂
To any anyone thinking about joining Amazon. This job is an excellent opportunity to make at least $20 an hour, at least where I live. Just make sure they are respectful and that you take your time(
utilizing safety features in the van like handles and walking slower if you live in an area with snow or slippery conditions(I never slipped, it was my mission)and maybe do some working out on the side as doing this for 15 plus years is what I kind of credit to making me able).
It’s $17 where I live…I’ll pass
22 where I live. I’m down
I almost got myself killed today, I did not correctly engaged the parking brake on the van so the van start rolling down the street, I ran in front of the van to stop it but it was slippery from the snow, I slipped right at the front of the van while it was rolling I was literally under the front bomber trying not to get runover luckily I managed to get myself away from the van's way followed it jumped inside and stopped it. both of my hands lightly injured and my back hurt, I'm quitting tomorrow, my boss is a nice person, but this job is not for me especially in this cold and gloomy days of Michigan.
@@aliabbadi9149 how would you stop it by getting in the front?
Don’t quit. If your boss is nice can you talk to them and see if you can figure out a way to make you more comfortable, or maybe figure out if there is somewhere else you could have parked. Can you wear warmer clothes? Are there any other challenges?
@@keegancan As I came to a delivery stop I pressed the parking brake button, but I didn't look to the small screen in the dashboard to confirm the van is in park. I went to scan a box in the back when I stepped out to deliver I closed the sliding door which made the van to roll out because it was not in park, when the van start rolling I ran in front of it to get to the driver door (I was supposed to run behind it but I did the opposite) unfortunately I slipped from the icy road right in front of the moving van, the next thing I saw was the front bumper in my face as I tried to get up quick, didn't know how I got myself away from that rolling van and jumping inside to stopped it, there was a lady walking her dog, she was screaming when she saw me almost ran over by the van, she helped gather my glasses my beanie and the Amazon device which was ran by both front and rear tires, luckily the snow was thick and fluffy the device made it. It was bent a little. The temperature was like 7⁰F yesterday. Long story short I quit this job, it was too much for me, my body hurt from running all day and my shoulder hurt from the fall and the weather made it so difficult too I went to the warehouse to give them the badge and the vest they gave me, it wasn't worth it.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 yoo this vid killed me, you funny bro... "im quittin this bi*tch toooday"
It's definitely a strenuous job and the heat isn't great but it isn't THAT bad. How can you complain about heat stroke when you're drinking orange juice? You aren't helping yourself if you aren't hydrating.
I’m from Wisconsin and am a delivery driver be happy it’s 90 degrees and not snowing
I bet your trainer must be like. Tired of listening to u cry
Today i got 20 bags, 40 overflows,
190 routes. No space, all rush, no time for breaks or lunch, pure abuse.
Man you in a suburb lmao try doing this in NYC!!!
I did this job for about 6 to 7 months before I started going to school. Let me tell you… this job humbled me in so many ways and it was not easy some days 😭😭😭
Do yourself a favor it’s not worth it they’ll take your soul im experienced driver got a front runner reward I cut ties after a year in a half sad
At least get me in a little bit, But the money seems so small because the hours of service cuts us off, at least put in a placement where we can sign the waiver saying we don't want overtime hours, But 4 days a week and cutting it I ain't a teenager, I'm not acceptable for childlike money 500 weeks ain't cutting it😅😅😅😅
🙏🏽
I get 200 stops Plus every day I'm about to quit
😭
Work Smarter than Harder!!!!
If it is better to do the flex an make more money then do it !!!!! All of distribution trucks don't have air including USPS ....... It should be law that all trucks should be equipped with AC and Heat !!!!!
💯
Get sunglasses, sun Visor is cooler and the neckband with a fan. UPS pay 80K but have to drive a stick.
Fax!
I’ve never heard bro said so many times at a job. 🤣
Dsp treats employees like shit and they discriminate! The part they don’t tell u!
😩🙏🏽
I started delivering for Amazon Oct 2019 right before Covid, then everything shut down, I had to pop a squat outside to pee. I delivered until 2021, I quit because my DSP refused to change my schedule upon request, I was working 6 days a week, 10 hrs. I burnt out.
I just got hired for another DSP, told him I can only do 150 to 155 stops, I'm about to drop this weight. This job is not for everyone, it's hard asf, but no your rights, get your dolly during load out, read customer comments, your not supposed to get out your van if you see a dog. Organization is key too.
The job is coo easy money but the dispatcher be trippen sometimes 😂
I used to do Amazon it is absolutely the worst job.
Big homie was like hell nah 😂😂😂
😂
Way too physically demanding.
As a tree worker... this ain't shit bro. Try climbing a whole ass tree 100° weather my guy... you crying about 90° lol and our AC don't work
Yeah, no air conditioning is big problem for me. Anytime vehicles don’t have air conditioning. You can tell that the company doesn’t care about it people.
Don’t let others make you feel ashamed for how you feel, because believe me i understand exactly where you’re coming from. This def wasn’t it for me either and no need to settle for what isn’t you…keep moving to what fits you best bro!👋🏼✌🏼
Meanwhile I’m still trying to figure out how to find a Sprinter Van position lol SOS 😭
Yep, if you're suffering this much on a day 1 nursery route, there's NO WAY you're going to make it on "normal" days of 200 deliveries. 🤣
Ive been getting 196 stops and I start at 12 and they want me to finish by 8:50 , I’m in Florida and they still want us to turn our van off with this heat , that’s crazy af, getting fired today forsure ima take this van back and scramble all the packages up
Good thing I got a security license to fallback on. DSP's are hot trash 😂. The only DSP(s) that treats me significantly better are Digital Streaming Platforms 🤘🏻.
I been telling people it just depends on ur dsp they a make ur job 10x worse
Facts
@disapphire FU
Lmao
Love the honesty and straightforward approach he’s got … that’s important in anything. Speak up… I def did lol…
they have all these rules, im a former trucker, ill just start putting these "morning pretrips" out of service, but that only hurts the contractor , not amazon. and your fired so.. cant win anything
Amazon be playing they drivers with 150-200 stops for pennies I always feel bad for them that’s why leave out water and snacks for yall
It’s not that bad if it’s a part time gig, and the work makes time fly by
Lmao 😂
I feel you! I did Fedex during the summer of 2020 in 100° weather and i hated every minute of it. Now I'm forced to do Amazon again because i couldnt find any other job and I need to pay the bills. But i think you got to keep a positive mindset if you want to do this type of job otherwise it'll drain you quickly.
🙏🏽
Yes and notice the phone they give us slows us down so now I just use my iPhone finish 3 hours earlier with the iPhone
