only one thing that slightly disturbes me here...
is using a youtube video of a song, to get the lyrics and co...when the witcher 3 comes along with an .flac soundtrack, that gives much more clarity, detail and dynamics than the crappy youtube compressed 128kbit sounds.
other than that, yeah nice to see the all the backround work and effort that goes into a short cover and all the attention to detail. :)

The amount of pure talent required to do something like this - starting from a song, dis-assembling the lyrics, then coming up with a beautiful re-imagining of it while staying true to its "essence", switching instruments all the time and doing this... in a team of one - truly is mind-boggling. Thank you so much for finding the time and putting in the effort to record this behind-the-scenes, really makes me appreciate your work even more!

Omg beautiful Thor ❤ I demand a Thor tax for every behind the scenes!
EDIT 9:25 I think this is a good instinct. A game soundtrack arrangement vs video isn't the same context, so an "adaptation" to your medium sometimes require, well, adapting. You did well and starting with vocals gave me shivers.
I hope we see more of these Behind the scenes!!

I believe the harp like instrument is imitating the clarsach, which is very old in Scotland. It's somewhere between a lyte and a harp and usually it's what all the younger students in schools will start out on before moving to a full size concert harp. :) It's very common in old scottish music, along with flutes, fiddles and accordians. A flute and a clarsach would be used for ballad compositions, while a fiddle and an accordian would be used to up tempo compositions.
