Quick question: if you copy a bunch of old photos and videos from iPhone to the drive, and then you delete the photos from the iPhone, when you restore the photos and the videos back from the drive to the iPhone does it appear at the bottom of the album or it goes back to where and when exactly the photos shot, the date, time etc...? Think of it like an AirDrop when you receive photos from a different iPhone, it organizes the photos based on the time of shot.
Hi I haven’t done that yet bc usually I just transfer it to the GO and then transfer it to my hard drive and haven’t transfer it back to my phone yet. Maybe one day I will do it and see. Thanks for asking
hii , I'm about to purchase this , and I have a doubt, if I use it for backup only option for full photos and videos ,and after connecting it on my Mac/windows computer can I view the photos and videos and copy them to Macbook as a normal Pendrive itself??? or its like encrypted like non viewing on computer?? pls reply..

When I’m on the “select photo” screen it isn’t pulling up my photos. Is it because I have so many? I’m at 119 gb on a 128gb phone. Or could it be my poor internet? Or a setting on my phone? Thank you
Not 100% sure but I think you might have to give the unit access to your photos/videos

When my photos are copied and I transfer them onto my PC, they are in the wrong order. I try organising the folders by date, yet still out of order. Some photos I took in October are next to photos from April, then back to October, then December... Please help!!!

Just found a way, Create a new folder in iPhoto copy videos to folder, go to copy photos from phone, let it load then choose folder icon, look for new folder that has moved videos, then copy to iXpand, I will be using on set to off load long videos to a quick storage, now if we could write video to it.....

what happens if your cel phone battery dies while transferring? Do you have to start over again with a full download or where you left off transferring?

You only added 3 photos/videos to the drive but there were 7 files in the test folder you created. Why are there extra files there?

what's the difference between backing up/restoring photos, and the copying photos to the Xpand Drive?
You want to save it to another unit so you can free up space on your phone. If we use up too much of the phone memory, it may make the phone super slow.

I think there is an option to turn off, I’ve never use it before though

You can delete it on the app.

This is a very basic app! It does not show a progress percentage or estimated time, and it does not give options to select only photo or video files.

Hi, I am following the same process but after copying 3 to 4 images it is showing pop up with mentioning operation failed, pls try again

How do you safely eject the flash drive from your iPhone? I tried closing the app and unplugging it but found an error when plugging it into my pc

I am having a problem accessing all photos on my iPhone to back up . I have managed to access one album of photos to back up. And now, when I’ve tried subsequent back ups, those are the only photos that show up. But the remaining 400+ photos are not available to me. I’m not understanding how to access all my photos to transfer.
You might have to allow access to your photo on your phone like the last comment 👍

Try to transfer some first slowly. Don’t do all at once and see 👍

I think you can use it on a pc and it already has the USB-A end so you should be able to just plug into your computer

There is a way of transferring files and notes it but it's very time consuming.
You have to select the note individually save it to your files rename it to the name that was originally on the file.
Once you do that you can send it to the IXpand. This is why I dislike Tech/IT designers, they have no idea how to make things user-friendly. That goes for everything like tvs, cell phones, computers etc.
Why do you have to do it this way instead of having to be able to select all the note files and transfer them onto the IXpand?
Lastly you can email the Note file but you can't do it on mass it has to be individually done. So in other words I have to send 900 note files individually. It's ridiculous. I just wasted $75.00.

I wouldn’t transfer all at once bc it would take too long. Do some at a time to make sure they get transferred first
