I felt the trance a little bit but the snapping doesn't put me to sleep... I want to believe but it's so frustrating. 😖
One thing that will help is that whenever you hear the word "sleep" or hear the snap, remind yourself what it feels like to sink into bed full of warm, fluffy pillows, how it makes your muscles relax and let . You don't have to picture it, just think about it and remember that feeling. You can even replay that memory a few times, as long as you continue to listen. Do this every time you hear "sleep" or the snap, and you will feel yourself relaxing toward sleep. After a few sessions, you will find you don't even need to conjure the memory; you will just start to feel it, and when you do, follow that feeling.
The part that a lot of people get hung up when visualizing is that they think they have to actually "see" the thing being described, but I've found that just thinking *about* the thing, and focusing on the ideas related to that thing, is enough.

sofia nilsson you have to just allow yourself to go along with it. I was the same at first, now it just happens 😀
You have to learn the tricks to hypnotize yourself. Three easy things I have found work well for me :
1-Slow down your thoughts by having your voice in your head speak more slowly
2-Have a deepener loop you like or is effective play in the background.
3-Repeat what the hypnotist is saying or say yes to whatever they say.
I hope these tricks help you come out with methods that are effective for you.

LOL wut , so you never get immersed when watching a movie , or playing videogames... cos' it's basically the same thing ( with less external stimulation , since all the job is done by your brain and your imagination, not by your PS4 ).

The "sleeping gas" bit made me feel uncomfortable, as i am not into drugs& dope or smokeing. the robot bit just seemed silly & childish. as for the escelator going up & up toward a light, that was a bit creepy, like a near death experience. i kept hearing the song "shes climbing the stairway to heaven" in my mind, & half expected to see mam & dad waiting in the light at the top!!. I didden't get more than mildly hypnotised, because i found the whole thing rather disturbing. not my cup of tea,!!!
That's a shame. Maybe a different kind of recording, or different voice would provide a nicer experience. Maybe just stick to some more simple inductions, or something for beginners? Even if you aren't, they're nice to revisit sometimes.
