I have a stainless steel steamer and use it often. Sounds like a great idea to use the base to cook. I use it to make potato salad. The eggs and potatoes can be steamed at the same time.

Wow! those eggs look phenomenal Amy. I might have to get that steamer just based on that alone, can't wait until you demonstrate the other settings. I love egg salad, but never tried it with tomato it look so yummy.
Love my Joydeem dough maker too. I almost bought an Ankarsrum as my Kitchenaid Artisan was not enjoying the dough life, but for the price the Joydeem does an amazing job. Being able to drop 2000g of flour into it and not worry about burning out the motor is pretty nice.
