What I really like about this game is musical atmosphere. For example, when you watch on 36:30 just before you say feral there is that atmospherical background music, that just gives that tense vibes, and I love it! And just after you say "we're good" at the end, you can hear it driffting away. Cool!
Dude this is top tier gameplay I am inspired. Because of you I had the balls to complete a mission deep in plague territory. It was stressful, but I did it without a hitch AND got a Norma for my trouble

just had a Black Heart in Meagar valley day 4 lethal,.....day 2 had weak heart which awakend was on the other side of the map,and then on day 6 fuel heart which was on the last corner of the map-day To summerise-6 days -on of the worst curveballs on the 4 corners of the map.....2 survivers left,will try to fight back great video keep up!
pretty much the same thing happened to me go an awakened black heart on day 2 day 8 got weakened black heart on the oposite sid of the map but managed to kill 18 hearts with the black pleague heart remaining and sending tons of army zombs lmao
The way I do bounties in lethal is I just pick the ones that I will likely do anyway (I.e. kill x zombies with fire). Then I just complete the bounty passively as I play. The important thing is I don’t focus on completing the challenge, I just let it happen naturally over time. I also want to say thanks man. Watching multiple of your lethal play throughs helped me finally beat lethal (twice) after idk maybe 15-20 failed communities.
The thing I am liking the most with your instructional vids are that it IS exactly in line with how I would approach the game. It also make the best sense, based around the games intent. I get it like you say, everyone has there own choice to make, some like to play games in god mode, I don't. I prefer the struggle, I never farm crap in games either, and I like how this game doesn't require it to have a viable play through. The dynamic nature of this game makes it golden, and can't believe it slipped past me. Thanks for the great series brother.
I've followed this series and it's great. I'm playing along, I started on lethal and I've gone down to nightmare. I'm not very good. i've had to restart about ten times (maybe). I've had two black hearts. I have one now.
Brian! I had a black plague heart in lethal zone a few weeks back xD lol It was quite interesting. It drained your health constantly during the fight, weak to fire, zombies were more alert + resistant to melee. Hope you get one soon!

That Trumbull valley pack at the bounty broker is so good. I would rate it as one of the best bounty packs there is in the game. So many suppressed guns that you can get your hands on from that bounty pack. You also get some influence when you have completed a bounty and turn it in at the bounty hunter! 😁 Yes some bounties are very easy to do. Like the silenced revolver from the Trumbull valley pack where you need to use 4 gas cans. If you are not running around everywhere you are "naturally" going to be using gas to fill up your car when the fuel tank gets low. When you drive around to take out plague hearts, drive around for looting sessions, drive around for doing missions, or whatever your goal is at the moment. The suppressed smg is also really easy since you need to collect 4 materials. You get 5 materials from one bag so to complete the bounty you only need to turn in one bag in your base. I wouldn't go out of my way to complete that bounty. But eventually when you have taken out more plague hearts and loot the areas that are freed up you are going to get a bag of materials naturally. Kill 14 zombies with a pistol to get that silenced handgun is also an easy one. Even if you play very stealthy at some point there is going to be a big fight so that you naturally want to shoot and defend yourself at some point through the game.
Another great video. True about the resources when playing more agressive, there is of course ways to mitigate that as well, such as building an economy come midgame. But yeah, if one is in a hurry, I agree that the only working strategy going agressive would be to rush the hearts.
One of my most enjoyable playstyles in this game is actually to start out with "cutting out" a safe zone for me in the beginning, by going after the first hearts as soon as I can, then focus on building up survivors to be able to support building an economy in a larger base. Having the means to produce for instance fire bombs and advanced meds that sell quite well, combined with a trader outpost and calling in lots of communities to trade with, makes for both great fun with building the economy and resolvs the resource issues. Good beginners strategy? Hardy. Good strategy for people used to SOD2 and beginners on lethal, yeah... why not. :)
The point people are making about bounties is select ones that you’ll do anyway. The driving one is great because you can just put it on and forget about it and some hours later it will complete through regular travel. Yesterday I completed kill screamers with rifles on my lethal since I had a 22 with me and had to clear infestations
need more of this! why does it look like your flashlight is just a little more effective? mine is dim asf. good point about bounties, i still haven't completed my current ones. still think you should put your cam at the top right. so it covering the objectives, but more importantly it's not blocking anything important. top right is a perfect place for your cam
With the new curve ball & pledge heart system. I started to make outpost that surrounds my base & blocks off the road paths when attempting to invade one of my outposts. Turn on the defense & you have yourself a wall of mines . Lethal zone isn't hard for me anymore, its more annoying 😂. In my playthrough there is no peace. I try to avoid big fights but sometimes you gotta make a stand.
@Brian...sad to say so my brother, but you do have black plageu hearts. I have one right now on my dreadzone map. I avoid it for a long time,because the zone around the black heart consumes your gas and your life little by little. My luck is..that heart is south from the map,so i dont have any bussines over there. But they are real..and i'm really hoping you get to see that and take care of it. Should be no sweat for a TT player like you. Love your videos brother.

I'm going to spam the same comment first for the algorythm god, second in the hope brian see it, this series is fire, could you do one on trumble valley in the future? given the amount of story missions, and the difficulty of the map, i know you already did a lot on trumble valley, but its not the same while you do it on stream vs video, peace !
People doing the aggresive playstyles - I find they frequently crutch on things like jumping up on cars, pyrolauncher, Impaler... all the broken OP stuff.
Regarding playstyles, once you have a good understanding of combat you can play any way you want. I always survive off rushing hearts. I start and usually find a heavy weapon when I get my first materials ruck, then I clear one of the "town" areas of plague hearts and when the loot dries up I do the next. Any time a heart wakes up I'll clear them until there's none awake. Playing this way means you won't have infestations and you'll have a lot of loot in just 2-3 days. The downside being that you will reach max difficulty very quickly. I only recommend my way of playing if youre not doing a long term playthrough, it's fun if all you want is to do a legacy quickly. Otherwise it'll just make things harder earlier if you want to play long term

I had 2 black hearts in my Dread playthrough. I'm scared one will come in my 1st Lethal run. Its just a pure difficulty spike with no reward. Took me 5 drone strikes and a lot of bombs to kill it and it dropped painkillers and a pistol that can be bought for 35 influence to buy in an enclave.

Have you forgot to use Command Centers Friendly Broadcast function to gain free influence? And bounties, I do keep em in backround, so I do em while playing. I don´t go specifically after them, so that way I don`t use directly any resources upon em.
Black hearts definately exist, I had to learn it through a hard way, since the curveball update came out I'had enabled it, to look what it is and then approximately at the end of the game one black heart appeared. I had thought;" Ah come on, it's just another plague heart maybe a stronger one and thats it." So I didn't killed it right away, I've played slow, looting all the staff around and then I've drove in it's territory (which grows over time, so you have better to kill it early on), for some reason I don't know now, and all of a sudden my car stopped (It had no gas), I was wondering what the **** I've allways had anough gas in my tank, I watched it strickly. Then I sayd:" Ok I have another gas can in my trunk". I've refilled my car, drove and around two seconds it was again empty, then I realized, it must something have to do with this black territory. So I had to walk on foot the antire way to the survivors, to ask them how to take this black plague heart down. It was a pain because in the mean time the territory got so big and the zombies in this territory were constantly running! So when I arrived at the heart, my gun and melee weapon were allready broken or were going to break soon. I had managed to take this heart down, but lost one of my good survivors! I hate those ****** black plague hearts ( R.I.P Ceda).
You may have never seen a black heart because they only show up when your morale is very high - you tend to not worry about maxing your base morale so maybe it never triggers. Call BS on me, but I have had several across different communities, and morale is typically one area I really focus. White noise machine, XBOX in a level 3 lounge, everyone gets a bed, etc etc.
I started playing an old community of mine recently, and it wouldn't let me level up my out posts. Is that a feature only on PC because I play on xbox, and it's not giving me the option?

I just finished my last Lethal run with Trader, but unfortunately the game glitched after debriefing and I am not able to finish the legacy. No way I am going through this difficulty one more time. Guess trader will be the only legacy I will never finish then...
@Brian Menard 4th day and got a heart , where if u kill zombies they explode and catch fire. i managed to kill that heart. after that i got the black heart , where u constantly got blood plague and ur gas from u car goes empty on 5 sec inside jearts territory. the weakness was the explosives against the heart. i lost 2 members and the heart still standing. all that on lethal zone after 1000+ hours on game. its challenging yes, but on forth and 6th day? its really tough situation and u cannot ignore the heart cause it constantly sends u waves of z's all the time
I wish they would let you turn off the hunger and thirst. I have nerve damage and have a hard time playygames unless they are very easy. This looks so cool and id like to build up a settlement and just run around
Buy and test the game. Play on Green difficulty which is the easiest difficulty. There are 5 difficulties in the game. If green difficulty is to easy for you then you can up the difficulty to standard difficulty.
(Aggressive Lethal)😳Put UnDeadLabs on a Pedestal and remind everyone that's what Custom Zone is good for. Resources on Standard or Green with Zombies and Map on Lethal. 🤙

One of your video's of this couple back you said pro players might say your a wimp or whatever, I say to them you really been shot at ,until they've seen real combat, they actually know nothing. They haven't earned the right to judge you for anything you sacrificed alot and for them .Anyone who has negative feelings they can pound sand into the night .
You have competitive shooting habits. When you shoot you move your own corset away. And reflexively move it back to head shots. And move away. And again really fast. I had this too now i am not capable of it.

One tip: Your Lethal group will not have to "buy" the bounty broker item as long as it wasn't claimed by the group who earned it. Great video series!

Playing lethal as a brand new player it’s smart to play stealth rather than shooting and playing aggressive
Is their a reason why you dont use radio commands? When you spent time looking for gas you could have just called it in to find a location...

Just lower the difficulty to green or standard and you should have no issues playing

It costs 180 parts if you don't have any people in your community with computer skills.
you can learn computers in the same outpost, so you just need a survivor with empty skill witch is easy to find

One of your video's of this couple back you said pro players might say your a wimp or whatever, I say to them you really been shot at ,until they've seen real combat, they actually know nothing. They haven't earned the right to judge you for anything you sacrificed alot and for them .Anyone who has negative feelings they can pound sand into the night .
