Sod3 is gonna be insane
When it comes out in 5 years 🤦♂️
Yeah SOD 3 might as well wait until the market dies down because GTA 6 ..is here ..
@@youngnebula187 ye but honestly i wanna play sod3 more than gta 6
@@rxgz5722same!
@@j33z93what’s wrong with that I prefer a perfect game instead of halfassed game that’s what’s missing nowadays gaming companies throw out games all halfassed they should take all the time they need there’s no rush
Thank you Brian for coming back to State of decay again, Your videos are criminally underated and if you keep consistent one day you'll attract the large loving audience you deserve🔥
Did Brian just go Bob Ross in the zombie apocalypse? "It was not a MISTAKE, you don't make mistakes. It was an ACCIDENT, a HAPPY LIL ACCIDENT."
@Brian Menard. Thank you so much for your videos about SOD2.
I learned much from you.
Today i'm glad to say: I just finished my first time a lethal zone. And without your videos i wolud not have been able to do it.
I lost 2 survivors :/ but i finished it. I was on Providence Ridge and my final base was the Firedepartment and it was completly self-sufficient.
I'm a bit proud :D.
Much greetings from Germany
Prost!
That fight with the feral reminded me of my training days with my fighting master "dodge, attack, dodge, attack" xd Idk why but i'm really liking this playthrough
Brian, your videos have helped me out so much even as a veteran lethal zone player. I came back to SOD2 after a year or so thinking I still had it and the first blood feral I ran across on foot had something to say about that. Watching your videos helped me now just as much as when I first started playing the game. Thank you so much, as has been said before your videos truly are underrated but definitely not under appreciated.
Brian nice guide! Woooooo! Watching this at late night 2:51 AM & it's fun!
Dayum! That plague heart kill at the end of the vid was executed perfectly...cool as mf ice! Great content, I'm playing catch up on watching this series but loving everything so far
New viewer here. Great guide and I really like your way of presentation, Brian. Lots of good information. I just recently started my first "real" lethal playthrough (not having an existing community move over from lower difficulties, but starting fresh). Its's been quite the challenge, but I'm now on day 30 with the second legacy almost completed.
A few things I noticed on my playthroughs:
- AI companions will stay close to you and only attack with ranged weapons or in self defense (with melee) when you crouch. If missions require another survivor accompany you, its recommended to have a main survivor that can fast sneak to make things easier.
- Human enemies do seem tough, BUT I noticed that they seem more bullet spongy due to having some kind of invincibility frames when hit, much like blood ferals. Usually, one bullet to the head from a .357, .44, 5.56 or 7.62 caliber should drop them, and then another two or three shots to the head should finish them off. The secret is to not burst or auto fire, but instead taking single shots with just that bit of a delay in between shots. You can easily unload a full mag in the same time and waste a whole lot of ammo if you rush it.
- if you're new on higher difficulties, do yourself a favor and turn off curveballs. Yes, there is a chance of getting a beneficial one, but apart from "a broken heart", "news travel" and - the very rare - "a well oiled machine", the positive ones are not too helpful. There's also much more negative ones with sometimes severe penalties and especially the black plague heart has the chance to completely screw up your playthrough if your community is not prepared for it, it gets an especially unfavorable set of traits and/or you're not experienced with lethal.
- you can farm the hell out of the "mysterious broadcast" CLEO drops, preferably if they occur near your own base. Just get close enough to the cell tower without triggering the message, the drop should appear on the map regardless (you'll not always see the symbol while in 3rd person if it's a bit further away). Find the drop, take everything but the note, bring it home, save and reload your game and the broadcast should appear again soon. Yeah, a bit cheesy, but might help out of a tight spot if ressources get low.
if you start to kill a plague heart say you get to the second or third stage and have to run does it heal up if you cant come right back? or do you keep the same stage till you kill it?
Im loveing the video its helping me get through the work day and getting me excited to try my playthrough on lethal thank you for all the tips n advance
Just drove my cook with lived in high altitude, maxed stealth, and maxed marathon into a hoard of bloaters and died lol. I was driving fast it looked clear and glanced left by time i looked forward they renderd in and boom.
What a treat to watch this play through Brian. You really do a great job of teaching and having alot of fun but the reason I keep checking out your channel is because you're an even better human! Have a great day brother. Peace!
I am a big fan of this series,
I have been trying to tackle Lethal for the first time by sending some geared vets from other communities and sort of keep one step ahead of this series.
More often than not I simply validate my observations with yours.
What I find fascinating is that I found Nightmare and below boring and tedious... but Lethal actually keeps me on my toes by making every single game mechanic relevant... which I really like!
Love the videos so many handy tips, i started my first lethal playtrough. killed one plague heart, which was overlapping two others yikes!! I have only 2 survivors left, and I'm not sure if they will make it. Lethal is a hectic game mode so glad you're doing these videos, thanks and cant wait for part 5 ✌️
Hey man just subbed been watching your old state of decay 3 2 hour long and loved it IV just started state of decay 2 and having a blast can't wait for 3 keep up the great work!! 😁
Glad you enjoy it!
been watching along as I play just finished my first playthrough in dread zone , excited to move to lethal thanks for the guide! :-)
Love it dude. Ur the man. Im new to state of decay 2 and look forward to these vids dropping to learn and become an elite zombie killing surviving machine. Keep up the good work bruv
you are sooo good in Lethal zone bro! you rock!
Thanks 😁
Brian, I will always watch any SOD2 content you put out. Even though I finished all legacies in Lethal a while ago I still love playing this game. With the new curveballs and sleeping plague hearts it’s like another level. I am curious though, in your new to lethal playthru you haven’t mentioned doing bounties to get weapons. Do you not think it’s worth it? I value your thoughts on it. I am loving this guide btw. It’s well thought out and super fun to watch. Been a fan for years and will continue to be with this level of content availability. Ozgirl xx
The cleo drop is my fav gotten it multiple times I love the weapon you get
The 'red talon ' Cleo drop quests were dropped recently with the last patch or two when they also dropped a few more cosmetics. I'm happy they have allowed away to get all echo weapons now without needing a friend. Most often the 556 rifle drops, but I've seen all types including the shotgun and my favorite the 9mm sub machine gun.
..my little story...
I have been playing SoD2 with Community and Map at Lethal but Action on Nightmare as I really do have trouble trouble with ferals ... so inspired by the SoD2 legend that is Brian Menard i started my first full Lethal playthrough... on Cascade Hills... taking particular attention on how to go about getting to the first base as Brian made it look so easy.....so there are am at the top of the little hill out of the car park up to the camp site already facing down my first bloater and screamer in close proximity to each other... tried sneaking past but you can guess how that went.... one blood feral and a few zombies later... i am still only at the top the hill out of the car park, 2 survivors already have 40%+ infection but thank still in the white and we all still alive.... a little disheartened and not even having opened my first crate i thought no push on.. i can do this..... first crate one standard cross bow and 20 bolts.... second crate an 8 slot back pack... things are looking up....
By the time I actually back to the car park i'd negotiated three more screamers, 2 bloaters and another feral with another 3 screamers, 2 bloaters and 2 ferals around patrolling the toilet block and area down to the first house for the fuel... needless to say by the time i actually got back to the car with fuel i'd lost a survivor and the other two looked pretty disappointed with my leader ship skills...
I am absolutely convinced when Brian starts a SoD2 lethal campaign all the zombies go nah we can't deal with this we're all off to Woodcotes map, he's a much easier target....
🤣🤣 try to just go straight to the base and get the AI in there then go back out and loot so you don’t have to worry about them anymore.
These videos have helped me so much on nightmare … thanks Brian!!! Salute bro
Great stuff 😊👍
Very good explanation, every detail were explaint, after watching this video you know near all mecanics of the game. Good video
Really great tips and tricks in this one! Some folk just have no patience. XD Well played!
Thank u, I am learning alot. Just got to implement them smartly.
i cant wait til State of decay 3 comes out, lets rock together on that Brian, im looking forward of teaming up with you
I've had that CLEO drop mission multiple times in my first Dread game. I got dozen of echo weapons from that.
Nice third episode. A fight against the 3 ferral hordes would be awesome. They are my nemesis.
I tried lethal and it was a horror story, I gotta admit I must be making decisions like you and play it safe all the time
Superfun watching, thank you
Can't wait for the guide on dealing with black plague heart, really need one here
Loving the playthrough! If one of your current food outposts is going to be an endgame outpost, would it make sense to upgrade it and get the better food production early?
Really great series, never played the game , really cant wait, soon one day
need more parts. guide is really good. that outlaw curveball stays till you kill them. some curveballs stay till you end them yourself, in this case kill the outlaws, curveball ends. you have to kill the outlaws, the curveball ends when you do.
for the barn PH, do you use the car to block in the PH, so you can just kill it, or are you avoiding that because you don't want to many zomboes bunching up?? plus keep up the good work :)
Just so you know, RvidD tested out all facilities and concluded beds are the most useless in the game. They don't help at all with fatigue recovery or what they claim to do, you only lose some morale by not having them.
Loving the series Brian!
Really enjoying the walk throughs and game play, played State of Decay back in the day and now I've been convinced that I need SOD2 in my steam library, it honestly looks really fun other than the A.I running off an getting them selves killed that really is some B.S and really quite frustrating when that happens 🤣
Can be avoided by crouching, crouched AI followers will only melee attack in self defense or kill further away enemies with ranged weapons. But in general, AI companions should be avoided on nightmare.
Love this game and the content Brian!
The guide is good and in an ideal world situation, would you be able to add something if something goes wrong ? Like if a heart is awakened etc
so i dont stage things i like to just play the game naturally but trust me when i say you all will be happy with what goes down next episode its going to be a great learning experience.
@@BrianMenard nice I’ll keep an eye out for the next episode
BRIAN LOVE THE CONTENT THANK FOR YOUR SERVICE GOD BLESS
That mission with the cleo drop is 1 of 3 different ones. 3 different weapons always in the same order shotgun last and this one u got is always 1st
1:11:20 dude what!?? That alota free meds
I would haha, if u whip it good u can run and get stealthy again. But risky af haha
Hi Brian, I just wondered why you didn´t put this advanced brake on the M4 and left the good supressor on the pistol. I mean fighting a heart is loud anyways and not only would this have both guns left with less parts worth of taken damage, but also gave you another decent weapon to kill the heart, since a M4+advanced brake hits pretty hard.
Because yes fighting a heart is loud already but shooting a gun loud can still make the situation worse so why throw fuel on a inferno 🤣
The stolen meds mission what do you do about that? They get hostile either way and I am having a hard time progressing past that
hello Brian just need your opinion , i play on nightmare difficulty for combat n community but lethal for map is this a good way to build up n learn to go into fully lethal once im more comfortable because i find nightmare with lethal map more of a balance for me but want to get better to go fully lethal ty.
When I did it before, it was always two bartending, and one chemist
you don't beat it you just die. Watch your 132 day nightmare crew get all but wiped out (except my red talon soldier) in 9 days
Whats going to happen today 😋👌 excited for the progress you are making
The cleo drop mission is a new one recently added
1:01:02 - 'princess is in another castle".
man if i was even half as good as u , i would play lethal like a pro
Cutler the Bootlegger, is the Chemist
I am going to do a new challenge.. listening to your tips regarding not waking plague hearts... my challenge, loot fuel and wake up all plague hearts at the start. Just to see how bad it is.
I had a black plague heart spawn really early I’ve already lost 3 survivors trying to take it down. It’s causing mass infestations
Is it smart to upgrade your outpost early game?
I get atleast 5 Cleo drops ev play through.. they appear 😅retry often !
I wish we could get even a tiny update on the third game.
And I grinded and have all the red Talon base stuff it's grate
Whats the difference between red talon soldier and red talon operator?
Yes I've got that one before
Yo Brain. Yo we were up late last night with the pal's lol
Can't wait for sod 3
Im kinda stuck. My community is running fine but I have awakened a plague heart somewhere but can't see it on the map. I hate touring the map looking for it in fear I will wake up another. I've climbed up all the local signs/towers to see if I can spot it but not much. Since I can't find the awake one I am constantly putting out fires. Infestations and hoards. I did pay 350 influence to find a plague heart but it only showed me one that is asleep.
You can open your radio menu and at the cost of 2 fuel you can send one of your survivors from base to scout the map for you. It takes about 5 mins and once it’s done all the infestations will be shown on the map
Thanks Brian. Did not know that was a option @@BrianMenard
Thanks
Probably would have quit the game if not for these videos
Seriously thank you ! That is huge and I really appreciate the love.
I dont know if they tweaked the balance in the last few months but I played on lethal about 10 different times and I had 3 infestations 50 freaks all around my base, including multiple juggernauts prob w8thin the first 2 minutes and I get 2 to 4 ferals on the first plague heart. Its literally impossible 😂
I’m having a really hard time wiv hostile enclaves should I just leave them or is there a way to kill them easily
I’ve just lost my whole community because of some hostile enclaves 🤦♂️🤦♂️
1:19:12 yeh I learnt that the hard way
A snack! lol idk why that was so funny
im on my 4 th day in game n no curveball has come up ive went on settings to check if i had it turn off but its not even in the settings why dont i have the option can anyone help ??
when does the tutorial for curveballs happen or how do i know really confused
Why dont you use mods anymore on sod?
need part 5
What’s in the Outpost update?
watch the vid. hearts are dormant, outposts get traps. it's obvious
Woot!
Hello!
How do you keep talking non stop?
i may be stupid , but please tell me , why is it bad if you wake a plague heart, you keep saying "you dont wanna do that" but never explain why its bad
i believe it's bc of the infestations start once hearts awake
1:10:30 - ahahaha.
Yay sod2

Hi
Me
❤❤❤❤👍👍👍👍
I try, but I cannot get past episode 5 because you just keep talking and talking. It does not stop.
it is a instructional guide lol how else would i give instruction without talking and explaining LMAO. This isn't a gameplay series it is a GUIDE 🤣
I'dd like your show better if ypu'dd stop playing stupid. Literally everybody playing this game after so many years still knows what's what. So stop the act and you'll be much more enjoyable
Does the plague resistance you get with pathology specialization stack? Like if I have two pathological doctors 😂 would my community be immune?
In theory no. But I think it might stack to a certain degree for pathology, but certainly what you can do is have one person with pathology, one with hygiene, one with a hero bonus that does+100 resistance, a red talon hero bonus that adds+150 . So as long as they're all different bonuses you can stack the resistance for sure. In the past a level 3 clinic and field hospital both had a buff that gave each a flat buff of 50% resistance to equal 100%, but it was pointed out and they nerfed each to 45% so it becomes a max of 90% resistance. Add in the hero bonus and community bonuses and you are still nigh immune.
You have about 6 enclaves and almost never inspect the survivors, 3 and a half episodes in. Dang
