    Such a wonderful museum.I really did not believe all the fuss about Pendon till I visited. You have to go a few times to properly appreciate the quality.

    Thanks for this new video. Great to see a feature on the yard. It is so prominent yet gets no attention. Perhaps a video of the local pick up could be arranged. Main line are always good, but give a different perspective too. 👍👍👍

    Beautiful layout. Love the attention to detail. Thanks for sharing. I love the open space. A lot of layouts (mine included!) are limited by space and cram too much into a space that is too small. Liked and Subbed! Cheers, Andy

      Many thanks Andy. We are fortunate that the Vale Scene Diorama at Pendon is the size of a tennis court! Lots of room for everything and always scope to add to the scene to keep the museum interesting for even the most frequent visitor.

    Great video! Fantastic realism - and "Charlie" earning his corn (hay probably!) hard at work!

      Thank you for that kind endorsement @geoffreypeart-b1z, Charlie certainly deserves his feed when you think what he has to do during the working day.

    Absolutely love the look of the new yard(s)! I remember hearing in the 1971 interview with Roye England, he mentioned the walls and brickwork of the buildings were constructed out of card, is that still the case for all the structures?

    • @PendonMuseumVideos
      @PendonMuseumVideos  2 місяці тому

      Thank you @jacobarisz9272, we are pleased you like the tour of the Station yards.
      And yes, all buildings are still made from card as evolved by our Founder Roye England. Brick or stone courses are scored on and then painted with watercolours.

    I was looking to see whether any baulk road (but standard gauge) remained in the sidings. Sometimes there was always a cheerful mixture, often at crossings (points).

      I first went along to Pendon about 20 years ago when I was living in Oxford. Completely blew me away to what can be an achieved in modelling and how to think about a model railway. I know I can never match the skills these modellers over the decades have shown, or their patience but I have been inspired for life!

    Charlie looks quite small for a Shire but otherwise beautifully observed and modelled.

    What do you mean by 'road motor'?

      Thank you for viewing and for your question. The road motor (as it was known) is the delivery lorry. We hope you enjoyed the video.
