The Railways of Clipstone Colliery, Rufford Colliery & Bilsthorpe Colliery
Join me as i walk & explore the former railway lines that once served a number of Collieries in Nottinghamshire.
Starting at Clipstone Junction, i venture forward to find the site of the once bustling Mansfield Concentration sidings. Next up is the Clipstone Colliery Branch line, followed swiftly by Rufford Junction, the Rufford Branch ( former Midland Railway ), the site of Rufford Colliery, then onto the Bilsthorpe Colliery Branch right through to the terminus at the site of the Colliery itself in Bilsthorpe.
