I never knew you could get health from the snowballs, and I've played this game 100% at least 20 times. I feel shook.
Me neither! I was obsessed with this game as a kid. Makes me wonder what other little details we missed over the years from other games. I'm not a gamer anymore but those were good days.
I bet you also didn't know about the guard dying in Zelda Ocarina of Time. I just found it on UA-cam

Great run dude! It's interesting to see how far Any% has come over the past couple of years and it's also interesting to see how some of the Any% routing is also mixed in with the 100% routing too, which is insane! I've managed to learn RBA not too long ago myself and even with nailing it on my first try is still an accomplishment within itself as it is hard to nail on Xbox while N64 is infinitely easier due to the different method of execution. I may primarily run the Xbox version of Banjo Kazooie due to the comfort of the Xbox controller vs the OG N64 one, but that doesn't mean that N64 can't adapt some of these techniques too, with a few exceptions obviously. Can't wait to see if you'll lower your 100% WR in the near future with the new routing and Ninpalk Skip!

I love the commentary on this, I've personally ran this game a while ago and got #163 on N64 for 100%, so it's really interesting to see an Xbox run for this game. I probably have a lower rank now, but I'd love to try it again with the new tricks I've seen. ^-^

Hey beast, I ran 100% on N64 back in 2014 and had a 2:37 pb. Coming back to the hobby now, any % looks fun. Is it too tough on the tricks and I should stick to N64 100% or do you think it’s manageable to learn?
Hey Brandon. Great to hear you're coming back to BK. I'd say any% is definitely manageable. Especially on xbox because you dont have to do TTC early or DoG skip. Also since 100% uses FP early now, it's almost as hard as any% anyway. I'd love to see more any% runners so I'd definitely recommend it. There are also opportunities to do some routing too as there are less eyes on it.

The8bitbeast Awesome man thanks, the tricks are definitely kicking my ass. DDA is fairly straightforward, but the clips and RBA are super rough. I tried for like 2 hours to get RBA last night and couldn’t. 😔

Thanks, we've been pretty lazy with it though. Still stuck in Mumbo's Mountain while we focus on other projects. I'd love to come back to it eventually though
@@The8bitbeast what kind of times do you reckon would be plausible in rta timing for the 100% and any% n64 categories if 2 new TASes were made one for each category? Perhaps a high 1:39:XX for 100% and 47-48 minute any% could be doable?
@@Anc123ddfsos Yeah those times sound pretty spot on if you time it using RTA timing and imagine that the emulator loads are more like console. Hyperresonance probably knows more though
I try to beat the first two games once a year and i think my goal next year will be to beat the first game as fast as I can.

You can desync the demo to make banjo die which lets you start the run in rusty bucket bay. That lets you skip a lot of stuff in Grunty's Lair.

Oh its just like crash bandicoot warped, when u can get all the powers by leaving the level and getting stuck in a world by finishing the level

can't you make text go faster on xbox by holding down the a button or is that an xbox one exclusive
You cant skip it since they didnt map any buttons to L. As far as I know thats the same for xbone too
