Hi Nat Nice pieces. I love the flower bowl with pink blue and green. It is so unique All the pieces are terrific. Great job. Looking forward to the the live stream! See you then. 😃
Yes, I like the pink and green carved bowl ! its funny how we take a dislike to some of our creations and others just love them ..... thank goodness! xx
Another lovely kiln unload - I love love love the bowl with poppy fields 🤩 I used it for the first time in my last kiln unload and wow so pretty and makes me feel included in the pottery community because I can use it in my low fire kiln 🥰
Hi Nat and Trace, wow another great kiln opening, I think the charcuterie board has come out stunning! You have created a whole new effect!! Love the ombre butterfly bowl❤ and OMG the pink bowl is sooooo beautiful❤❤❤ Wonder what is going on with the grit. Love the flower cut outs on the bowl❤❤❤ fantastic to see another video, can't wait for your live❤❤❤
Hi Drippy Sista! Still love the bee jar! THAT NAUTILUS BOWL!....GORGEOUS! That sandy bit problem is so frustrating. I have no idea what is causing that. The daisy bowl is a beautiful form, and the carving is so great. So nice to hear about your 'black & white leaf' success! Thanks for sharing!❤
Love the pink bowl Nat! I think its more of a fruit ripening bowl like one you would put tomatos or peaches or avocados out on the counter. Not a berry bowl or salad bowl but i love it for sure! ☮️ I'm getting sooo close to a kiln opening of my own its too hot to look, but soon!!!!🎉
The pieces in your black ish piece look like oolites, they can form some glazes and not others, They are visible in the glaze before firing if you paint on thin coats but can be obscured with thick coats. I get them all the 😢time. I grind them and refire with or without reglazing and it helps. You could try that❤. Another thing you can do is sieve the glaze to remove them before you put the glaze on subsequent pieces. Worth a try…Liana
I have heard of potters adding the silica sand to the wax resist and painting it to the bottom of the pot. That way it stays under the pot (hopefully). Beautiful nautilus bowl!
Yup, that's me... I love the pink and green 🌺 Do you have a day/time for the live? I'm working in a studio for Maine Crafter's Weekend on Sunday, and don't want to miss it!
Hi Nat. My question is, how much silica are you putting on your shelf. You only need a dusting. Not a pile. There is realy a lot of air movement in a kiln and the silica can be pulled off the shelf and end up in a bowl. The poppy fields bowl is nice. The daisy bowl is good to bit I agree Too much green.
Do you go to a weekly market? I guess you think they are worth it? I only did 1 and hated it. Sitting around all day in the heat. Uuuughghhh I didn't sold some things but not enough to make it worth the time I sat there.
I do a monthly market n def worth it. I use a gazebo so I’m not sitting in the sun. It took me along time to get my price point and layout right which made a huge difference. I have a few vids n shorts of my markets mixed in here.

Hey Gwen I’ll put up a link as soon as trace n I work out a time she will be here xx
Nat is your kiln vented? There is air circulation in there. It could be moving the silica around.
Yeah I’m thinking of changing to alumina hydrate

Thanks Allen yeah I think you are right probably too much!
No, don't refire the daisy cutout bowl, I love greens....
Thankyou so much!!
Could that be alumina hydrate that was flying around? The stuff in the bottom of the wonky bowl
