- Hi my muddy people!!! Woo hoo we finally have some pieces from Trace in this kiln!!
I’ve been madly throwing and getting right into hand building and making canisters and honey pot as I have 4 markets this month!!! Let’s face it we are all ramping up for Christmas too!
So many of you watched the LIVE (during and on the replay) and you gave Tracey and I such encouraging words letting me know you enjoy my videos and tips so there is another live coming soon! Stay tuned! Your kind words help motivate me to keep bringing you all my content!
For those of you that are more experienced, feel free to fast forward to the parts you are interested in. I don’t like to speed things up in my throwing videos as it can be confusing to young potters. I love our growing pottery family so much, it's a great community and we are all here for different reasons...and sometimes we just wanna chat with one another!
From all of my other videos, whether a livestream or an edited version I've been getting to know some of you very well from the comments and interaction...and I LOVE IT!!! I look forward to the day I win lotto and can do my world pottery tour and meet you all, how fun would that be!?! This pottery community has the BEST people, so don't be shy, say hi and join in the chat with the other potters from around the world during the LIVESTREAM or add comments on my videos. I love reading and replying to your comments!
I do my best to answer EVERY question that comes my way! Sometimes it takes me a few days especially with time differences, but I really do try to connect! If I don't have an answer, someone else in this community will! I've learned so much from so many of you!...Thank YOU!
If you are new to my channel, I post a variety of POTTERY VIDEOS; How To…Throw, Organize Home Studio, Trim, add Details etc. and I share other vital studio essentials from Tools, my Favourite Tools etc! I love sharing what I’m doing in my HOME POTTERY STUDIO. Yep, I work out of my basement pottery studio, throwing on Stevie the Wonder wheel, and my ceramic KILN aka Freddy Mercury, is in my garage.
Don’t forget to LIKE and SUBSCRIBE! It’s FREE and who doesn't like FREE! No really, by subscribing you will be notified of all of my uploads and livestreams , not to mention it helps small channels like mine grow! If you’ve already subscribed, YOU ARE A LEGEND!! Thank you! 😘

Speaking of forms for bowls...I greased a metal 3 bowl set ...filled them with plaster and made forms. They work great...thanks for another great video..always enjoy you girls...and learn so much. ❤❤❤
Hey Pat great idea making yr own forms!
You girls, Julia and Jeanette are like my pottery family! Love your work and your videos are always so informative and entertaining ! 🦄xx

@@mudmagic407 I think it will but let us know in the next video ☺️ good luck
Congrats on the awesome market Nat! Always fun when you sell more than expected!!
Nice to see a mix of your work and Trace's again.
👋 I am probably one of the few people up in the middle of the night 🌙 over here in the us!
Hi Amanda, I’m happy to have pieces coming back through the kiln. Thanks for watching so late. 😊
Thanks Amanda I’m a night owl too!
CONGRATULATIONS 🎉 on the Fab market!! Woot-woot!! You go girl!!Love the skull platter! Loving all the fun textures! So weird about the black dot in the gorgeous bowl..how frustrating!! Trace…nice save on the little man figurine 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 and love the glazes on your bowl! such a fun and colourful kiln opening ladies!! 🥰😘
Awww thanks Sarah. Hopefully I can save the bowl!!
Nice to watch and listen to you both chit-chatting. The little man figuring turned out well, the bisque fix did the job.
And yes Jeanette from far forest, her kiln openings always full of anguish beforehand. I'm saying to her " hyrry up just open it up" as I'm too impatient
Then it's followed by sheer squeals of joy or occasionally disappointment. She was most pleased with her paperclay glaze glue working. So definitely something to make for repairs.
Loved all the platters and bowls in the kiln load.
I'm still glazing away to get enough test tiles and test glaze pieces to fill up my little fire fly. Glazing takes such a long time. I dont know how you pottery gal's manage it.
Well done you pottery people on your time management 😮😅😊
Ciao Evelyn
Hey Evelyn oh how I haaaaate glazing!!!
Thanks for the support on my kiln openings. I can't believe that after 3 years since I started playing with clay I still get the same level of anguish, anticipation, nerves and then excitement when opening. I hope it never wears off LOL
Awesome kiln unload Nat! How nice is fogggggggggg!!!!!!! 😂 Thanks for the shout outs (i think ha ha!) and its called Ware repair!! But i will get some bisque fix……….. and follow your instructions rather than the bottles ha ha! Love Trace’s dog bowl too! Very cute!
Thanks Karen, I am very happy with my dog bowl
Haha fog looks just like rainforest on that piece!! Love the dog bowl. Celadon bloom 🤤
Hi ladies! Fun kiln opening! Very happy to hear that you did so well at your market, Nat. Love your blue textured bowl with the flowers. So pretty! Nice drips you have there on your bowl, Trace! Thanks for sharing you two!
Thanks Audrey love her bowl too!
Hi Nat and Trace, wow your skull looks epic! Thankyou for the shoutout❤ Mine came out of bisque at the community kiln and underglaze was flaking off in places so I need to pick it up from community kiln and re do bits and put it back through.
Love the large bowl the colours and textures work well❤
The black and white mug 😮 stunning! The marble bowl is beautiful❤ Traces man is fantastic ❤
I cried at Jeanette's video too😅
The sunflowers look stunning and as Trace says its a matching set❤❤
Trace's doggy bowl is delicious ❤
Tell me more about the handbuilding course 😮 fantastic kiln opening girls ❤❤❤
Oh thanks Julia I hope u can save yr skull. Trace n I have had similar w ug lifting. It’s a term course learning diff techniques each week. Can’t wait!!
Love the red skull, and congrats on the market! Hobble Creek Pottery also did some with that same placemat about a month ago. Wow, Tracy, I thought the black and white cup was surely a transfer! Well done! So sad about the blue bowl. I wonder if it's a piece of sponge that was in the clay? Do you throw with a sponge sometimes? The magnets are super cute! So's the little man!
Oh I didn’t know sponge could do that! I use one to wipe out n they r often falling apart lol
I loooooove the skull bowl!!!
Oh yay Thankyou!!
Congrats! I have a big one in November and last year, 15,000 people came through! I don't have enough time by half. As for the crystals in Winter Wood: you can rub some of the crystals off when the glaze dries. I do it between coats.
Hey Gwen oh good luck!!! Great idea between coats!
Finally got chance to watch this, been il in bed for 48 hours, so good recuperation content :) Another great Video and some fab pieces! I think your skull turned our pretty cool in those colours, its not my bag but there are a lot of people who would LOVE that! By the way following your recommendations Ive now got 3 jars of Amaco celadons....it does look brilliant over texture... So im getting on the celadon train LOL I'll give it a try on the bottoms of my mugs :) Yeah success with Trace's little man. You would not know his arm had come off if you didn't say, well recovered. Oh thankyou for the shoutout of my recent kiln unload...I'm sure we all get those kiln openings where the content have so much meaning to us, and we desperately want them to work. My emotions were all over the place and means a lot to me that you got so emotional too! What are we all like LOL Your sunflower plate and bowl make a fabulous set for Autumn, I could not see the difference with the two centres. Had to laugh at your teasing Trace making her wait for her pieces to come out the kiln....you should have swapped placed for the last shelf.....part of the deal....I'll happily fire your pieces but you have to unload them yourself LOL. Trace you come across great on the video and it would be lovely to see your reactions when you get your pieces out the kiln....those first kiln openings are pretty special in the memory bank - although 3 years later I'm still as animated and excited LOL Great Kiln unload Nat, looking forwards to the next one :)
Oh Thankyou Jeanette I hope u r feeling better!! I love that idea of putting hers on one shelf n swapping. She could manage that I’m sure!! Can’t wait to see your celadon pieces come thru xx
I want a ceramics bestie! Thanks for all the info
Yessss I’m soooo lucky!! Believe me I don’t take her for granted!!
My skull platter took two markets, but drew people into my tent. Mine was the white pearly glaze that shimmered.
Yes it didn’t sell but lots of ppl looked at it
I beleave the spot in the blue bowl could be from your thermocouple. The ends flake off. I’ve had this happen as well. It’s wise to keep a 2”/50mm clearance around it.
Hobby Lobby has sturdy magnets that hold silicone molds properly.
Never heard of them lol
Great unload I am trying Cayotes celodons on underglaze decals might be a big mistake no time to test sale is this weekend and firing on Wednesday fingers crossed they turn out of course the 1st 1 I used was rootbeer and then went to their page and it says that of all their celdons rootbeer could run
Ohhh good luck!! Well all the Amaco ones r super stable so hopefully!!
Great kiln opening. I get to open my first glaze firing tomorrow. I’ve just got back into it after an over 30 year break from pottery . I might just video tape it ,lol. I must try Sarah tracing paper. I have heaps of that from my painting.
Oh yay good luck!! It’s like Christmas morning!!
