a small tip for pronouncing romanized korean words is that almost no "a"s are pronounced in that nasal sounding "aye" way and are instead said as more of an "ah". a lot of people mess up words like "bangtan," "paldogangsan," and namjoon's very name (which especially hurts me and which is so common that the members have made fun of it) when its such a simple fix to say "aye"s as "ah"s
Ya I've heard people saying his name like NAAAYYYMMMJOON way too much

Satoori = regional dialect. Busan dialect is just one of them. They're all rapping/singing in their dialects.

This is still one of their coolest concept for me, since I come from a country that also has a lot of languages and dialects within it, and it's fascinating to see how geographically their language may change from place to place but in the end, they understand each other. (unlike our country, I moved to another city to study at University and I still can't understand or speak the language fluently even though I'm still in the same country :v ) Also, RM and Jin don't have Satoori (dialect) because the cities they grew up in are close enough to Seoul that they use standard Korean while those from Busan and Daegu has the most noticeable dialect because they are the farthest city from Seoul. But RM (due to his language ability) has unintentionally adapted some words and accents from the other members (because they used to speak Satoori often when they were younger) throughout the years so sometimes he mixes up dialects within his words (especially when he gets excited). Since they became idols tho, all of them are mostly speaking in standard Korean because it's what is expected from celebrities, though recently it seems that the members are calling home and practicing their dialect so they don't forget it (like Jimin said in the recent Run ep).
It is absolutely like that Sammy ! They are using the different accent and slangs of their regions to make this rap!! AMAZING ✨✨

ahhh right it's honestly so cool! i never thought to look up the meaning until like last year, it's amazing how much hidden context there is in the lyrics! and as someone who doesn't speak korean, it's hard to tell apart different dialects when members are speaking usually so it's cool to see them explained. also satoori doesn't specifically mean busan dialect, just speaking with a regional dialect in general. would be cool to see some British musicians from liverpool/newcastle/somerset/essex do a rap battle too :')

It's not like accents because an accent is a distinctive way of pronouncing a language, especially one associated with a particular country, area, or social class and a dialect is a particular form of a language which is peculiar to a specific region or social group. It's like a "sub-language" while an accent is just a different way of pronouncing the same words
