A dermatologist tip to remove makeup instead of wipes which is better for your skin and cheaper is to have a makeup removing soft towel(s) ($ tree has them) and put mineral oil or unfragranced baby oil on it ($ tree) and wipe it on your face. You can wash the makeup towels after every use and the oil won’t strip your skin and it will remove and break down the makeup for you.
Honestly, apart from a face wash and a sunscreen and a way to remove makeup, you don’t need serums or under eye creams, although they are nice to have.
As long as you are wearing an SPF 30 every day that will do most of the legwork for you, just regular unfragranced drugstore brands like Cerave are good enough.
Depending on your insurance or healthcare coverage, I would really recommend talking to a dermatologist or if that’s not available for you. Just talking to your regular doctor about your skin care concerns.
Most likely they will recommend certain active ingredients, particular brands, and might recommend a prescription to put on your face.
If it all feels super overwhelming to even make the appointment with the doctor, you could try a free trial of something like Curology.
Most of the times with the free trial you just pay shipping for the product but a doctor actually puts together skin care formulations for you and it’s at least somewhere to start and then you can see what your skin likes and find your own drugstore alternatives.
Also I’d recommend Cerave moisturizer in the tub (or generic).
    Hope that helps ❤

By the way you look great! Before I say anything, I just want u to know, I am almost 40 years old. There is no need at your age to worry about aging. I have had small lines on my forehead 4 years. Little lines like this are completely natural! If you use non-natural products with chemicals on your skin, this will make things worse in the long run! You don’t have to agree with me, I’m just sharing my thoughts. Love u girl!💕

Girl I feel you!! I used to always go with the cheapest option & my skin suffered from it. My skin is dry & compromised [acne + eczema], so picking the wrong product would result in cracked/bleeding skin on my face from a bad eczema reaction. I HIGHLY recommend scheduling a visit with a dermatologist to discuss skin type, acne, and what the best gentle and skin-loving products for you would be. The derm I used to see would give me samples of big name brands [Cerave, La Roche Posay, Cetaphil, Eucarin, Aquaphor, etc.] so I could try different products before moving forward with a purchase.
PLEASE BE ADVISED: if you have sensitive skin, your skin may purge at first when adjusting to a new product. Many people breakout and/or get bumps on their face when trying anything new. HOWEVER, burning, itching, and peeling is a sign of an allergic reaction. So be careful and always consult with a dermatologist first. The more you test things, the more patterns you’ll pick up on in regard to how your skin reacts.
For my dry, compromised, eczema and acne-prone skin, I LOVE The Ordinary Glycolipid Cream Cleanser, La Roche Posay Cicaplast Healing Balm, The Ordinary Moisturizer [with Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA], and the Neutrogena Purescreen Tinted Mineral Sunscreen. Also LOVE the Alastin HydraTint Pro Mineral Sunscreen because it has an amazing finish and looks so natural but it is DEF on the pricier side. It’s $76. That’s an every-now-and-then splurge for me for when I really want to amp up how my skin looks either by itself or under makeup. HOWEVER, for a good AFFORDABLE sunscreen with a glowy finish, I LOVE the e.l.f. Suntouchable Whoa Glow Sunscreen. Seriously gives my dry skin a gorgeous glow. But if you have an oily skin type, it may be a little much.
I hope these tips help. I love your content, you are seriously so relaxing and fun to watch. Much love girly, I wish you the best of luck with your skincare & makeup journey!! ❤❤❤

okayyy after watching ur entire video these are some recs for you:
    - cleanser: start using Cerave cleanser, if your skin feels dry - go with the Hydrating cleanser, if your skin is just normal/oily go with the Foaming cleanser.
    - makeup removal: stop using makeup wipes, the high alcohol in them will age you prematurely, start using micellar water with a cotton pad instead
    - moisturizer: la roche posay is such a good brand (dermatologists recommend it), their toleriane sensitive fluide will not clog ur pores, if ur skin needs more moisture just choose the toleriane riche
    - sunscreen: elta md sunscreen or if u want a more affordable one, go with cerave
    - makeup: tbh u shouldn't feel pressured to change what works for u, if u want to experiment affordably try elf or nyx makeup 💕 or if u want high end - rare beauty has products that really live to the hype
to find ur skin type u just need to start noticing how ur skin feels - oily, dry, oily+dry (combination), or just normal... after having a baby that can change due homornal fluctuations, so what worked for u before, might not work now 💗 but don't worry, everything has a solution, u just need to be patient girlie🥰 hope this helps a little

Makeup remover: ponds cold cream. (Drugstore)
Cleanser: VaniCream gentle skin face wash. (Drug store)
Moisturizer: any Cereve product. I have dry skin so I use for dry skin. But they have oily also. (Drugstore)
SPF: i recommend sunscreen for sensitive skin so no eye burning.
I use Eucerin Daily face lotion Broad Spectrum SPF 30 for face. (Drugstore)
Anti aging: I’m also in my twenties and I’m telling you are too young to be stressed. Don’t let social media scare you. Skin has texture. Derm can prescribe retinoid, or just adding in a moisturizer at night and sunscreen during the day will help. Also drinking water.
Morning: i splash my face with water dry it and then sunscreen. Super simple. 2 steps.
Nighttime: remove makeup, wash face, and moisturizer. Just 3 steps
Anything anybody else tells you to do is not practical or important.
Toners, serums, oils, heavy creams, and exfoliates are not worth it unless you understand and can afford that. Not good for beginners. Also can be a sensitive skin nightmare.

You don’t need to spend a lot of money for good skincare. For the basics, you really only need a cleaner, moisturizer, spf, and retinol (for anti-aging). It was only this summer that I realised I don’t know much about makeup, like shade matching for the seasons, tips like not mixing water/silicone base makeup together and just sm more like finding out my seasonal colour scheme too. I decided to use this Black Friday as a starting point in updating all my makeup to premium, high quality products and figuring out my skin combo/routines that will work for me in the long run.

and for skincare i feel like korean products are superior. they are so light, they dont peel and make-up sits so well on top of them. also they are a lot cheaper and the quality is unmatched. they are so hydrating and they have no alcohol and pafume in them. I usually use beauty of joseon, anua, and the BEST thing I buy is the bb cream from misha, it has great coverage+ 50 spf so you buy sunscreen and foundation in one product for a great price. korean powder is also amazing cuz it s so fine it gives an amazing finish and it doesn't look cakey at all

I’m a mom to a one-year-old and an esthetician who owns my own skincare clinic! What I recommend to clients who lack time or don’t want to invest a ton into a skincare routine is to opt for a cheaper cleanser and moisturizer, don’t ever skip the sunscreen, and spend a little more on a good vitamin C and retinol. Those two products combined with sunscreen use will make a huge difference in how your skin looks and ages! Some of my favorite brands are Face Reality, Sorella Apothecary, and Glymed+ when wanting professional products but being on a budget! If willing to splurge on a good retinol and vitamin c (it will make a difference, I promise!) I love Jan Marini Skin Research products!

The women working at my local Sephora don’t even wear makeup most of the time :) If someone is judging you in the store that is them being embarrassing and nothing to do with you, Sarah! ❤❤❤ Also, The Ordinary is my favourite skincare brand! I use the glucoside cleanser, hyaluronic acid, the gel moisturizer in the summer and the hyaluronic acid moisturizer in the winter 🩷 The Ordinary is a very budget friendly brand with high quality products! Everything ranges from about $8-$15. I break out with heavy moisturizer, so I use hyaluronic acid for hydration and the gel moisturizer to prevent breakouts. It’s a lighter formula & I love it!

Girl, I think your frontal lobe is absolutely developing. And that's a good thing! Once I hit 25 it was almost like a light switch. My priorities totally shifted. Taking good care of yourself, especially as a mother, is a huge priority. I would recommend getting into the habit of washing your face. Wipes are fine but cleansing should be done in addition to that.
Your skincare routine does not have to be complex. A gentle cleanser and a simple moisturizer are all you need and minimizes the chance of any irritation. For cleansers I recommend La Roche Posay Toleriane cleanser, I use it and it's suitable for most skin types. They also have a more oil-based cleanser called Lipikar which is good if your skin tends to be more dry. A good way to start trying to determine your skin type is to see how it reacts to your makeup throughout the day. Does it feel like your face is an oil slick halfway through the day? Or does your makeup ever cling to dry patches? Evaluate and go from there. The moisturizer I use is called Vanicream and it's a staple for me. You get a huge tub for relatively cheap. It's thick but it doesn't feel heavy on my skin. For sunscreen, I would splurge a little bit. I think it's worth it here since your skin is so delicate and skin cancer is real! I personally use Paula's Choice Youth Extending Daily Hydrating Fluid. It's extremely lightweight and has almost a milky texture. It doesn't leave a white cast and the "sunscreen" scent is mild. Check the reviews, I did a lot of research and I'd say this one is the most consistently highly-rated.
What you're experiencing when you talk about having trouble researching skincare items sounds like something that people often call executive dysfunction which can be a symptom of ADHD. I don't want to armchair diagnose so you should talk to your doctor. I hope all of this helps. Good on you for taking the initiative to change your habits for the better!

Cutting stuff OUT helped me a lot because I was using garbage and I don't need to. I bought the dermal care moisturizer from Amazon, Sooo Good! Like a catch all type product...I just take off my eye make up with coconut oil on a baby wipe.
I wash my face with scentless goats milk Soap (yes I know but literally every single cleanser breaks me out and makes me dry even expensive ones!) then I moisturize with the dermal care and I put a very little pat of coconut oil around the eyes.
Back to basics cause my Mother used dove soap and oil of Olay her whole life and at almost 60 her skin is Gorgeous. I think sometimes we are just doing too much.

I use a retinoid to kill my acne and baby products along with it because my skin breaks out with anything else lol. Baby soap to wash my face, witch hazel to control my oily skin, baby whipped butter or lotion to moisturize, and then I use tretinoin to treat my acne. I also add aloe in my routine when I get any inflamed pimples and they disappear after a day. I barely get any acne now a days. Sunscreen whenever I leave the house and to prep my face for makeup along with a primer and a moisturizer. If you want good quality makeup on a budget, I would definitely look into Miliani, elf, and nyx (I use palmers cleansing oil or baby oil to remove makeup). This is just what works for me. I never had anyone teach me about skin care or makeup so I had to watch hours worth of videos and look through tons of Pinterest posts to find what works. I hope you figure things out with your makeup and skincare. I absolutely adore your content. Thank you for the video! God bless!

You should try one of the Cereve cleansers. It isn't too expensive for me. They have sunscreen and moisturizer. They have cleansing balms for makeup removal too. But use micellar water if your skin is oily. You should probably try a light moisturizer. Also, don't beat yourself up if you don't cleanse twice a day. Dr. Idris on UA-cam (a certified derm) said that you can cleanse once in the afternoon if it's too much for you. I'm not a professional tho but Dr Idris has some good advice, especially for aging. As for makeup elf has been stepping up their game. They have so many products that go viral now and then. I use their lip oil and it's so cute. For high-end, my sister loves Fenty Beauty products. But I agree, I have been thinking the same thing. I want to try indulging in better-quality products too lol.

She wasn't lying! You can find the brand at drugstores, Walmart, Target, and Ulta. I swear by it. I use a couple of the serums, the facial moisturizer, and the (non foaming) acne cleanser. It's a bit pricier but I really recommend checking it out - a little goes a long way with most of their products.

Girl, Cleanser: Cetaphil gentle skin or Cerave cleansers you can find these at drugstore
    Moisturizer: cerave moisturizing cream
Serums: Vitamin C to glow and Paulaus choice BHA for acne and bumps
Sunscreen: Supergoop unseen sunscreen doubles as a primer
Ditch the makeup wipes ASAP and switch to double cleansing (miccelar water, cleansing balms/oils)
    boom.

i totally feel you! but a lot of the time the high end makeup isn’t actually worth it. for example blush, mascara and eyebrow product i’ve tried both high end and affordable and they both perform somewhat the same. i highly recommend the about face skin serum foundation, it’s glowy and natural looking and it’s $22 usd. from ulta! fave concealer is drugstore, nyx serum concealer very good coverage and good for sensitive skin. spf i use every day from target it’s the eucerin age defense spf50, doesn’t make my skin irritated at all! and girl no more makeup wipes!!! use a cleansing balm or oil and a damp baby washcloth to wipe off (no dripping!). and for moisturizer i have super dry sensitive skin and i love the avene cicalfate cream. makes my makeup look so glowy too. treat yourself but don’t buy into the tiktok overconsumption, a lot of the time the product isn’t THAT special or worth the money. the drugstore has good products but if you see something fancy or special at sephora go for it! i love hourglass powders, sparkly eyeshadows and yummy lip treatments like summer fridays.

and for context i’m 22 with sensitive dry skin, also noticing my makeup isn’t sitting the same as when i was 16/17 and navigating being an adult on a budget. it’s tough out here but honestly love what you said aging is a gift we just need to treat our skin nice so it ages as best as possible! start wearing your spf!!! 🤍

You should get an instant brush cleaner! That way you don’t have to worry about cleaning them in the sink, letting them dry, etc.,
There’s a dry brush cleaner or there’s the cinema secrets brush cleaners that you can spray your blush with. You spray it on and then take a paper towel and wipe your brush. It dries super fast, in a few mins

you really should wash your face everyday, not every morning but every night yes, and makeup wipes are just awful. cleansing oil i think its called, is way better. eye creams + serums are just a scam, get yourself a nice moisturiser from pharmacy, and a toner. an spf should be like depending on where you live, like if its always sunny or not (idk really never looked into it) and yeah, just do a research on a brand, ask your friends which ones are good and thats it. skincare is stressing when you look into it but most of the things are just scams bc we are women and some companies say nonsense to make us buy bs we don't need

Have you ever tried/ or heard of makeup from a brand called Kiko Milano? It's an Italian brand that's super popular here in Europe and it's amazing amazing quality! The makeup, brushes, skincare, everything! And they do amazing sales all the time! It's not as expensive as sephora but it's pretty much the same quality wise as some other big brands! It's definitely more expensive than drugstore but not like 50 dollars foundation type brand ahah!
Idk if over there the prices are the same as here, but I think they are very similar, and I mean mac here is high enddd! The prices are absurd!
You definitely should check them out! Quite a few British and American creators do a bunch of shorts and videos on their products!

Hi Sarah, im a young new mom too, my skin also suffered since having a baby. Learning about skincare has been super overwhelming but its normal cuz its complicated. Dont get procedures! You look great and young. Heres the things that helped me the most:
    - Learning what ingredients dont or do match together (especially "active" ingredients like exfoliants, vitamin c, retinols etc. with any of these YOU HAVE TO USE spf!!! Or you'll age faster!)
    - No hyaluronic acid in creams (especially in winter) it just dries my skin out and worsens wrinkles
    - Instead look for creams with lightweight oil (squalane, almond oil...) , glycerin (but lower on the ingredient list)
    -Micellar water for makeup removal
    - CHOOSE A CLEANSER THAT IS PH BALANCED! Before thinking you might be allergic to any ingredients, make sure its PH is low! Products with high PH break me out like CRAZY! Also applies to shampoos.
    Simple product recommendations:
    Muji milk cleanser
    Muji moisturizer
    Embryolisse multi function lait-crème
I cant get muji shipped to me anymore but their cleanser was really gentle and moisturizer was lightweight but kept my face hydrated all day. It might work for you because your skin seems to not have special conditions. Embryolisse is a great simple moisturizer and makeup base. For sunscreen pick one with only mineral filters, its better for you. Blue lizard apparently makes nice ones and also has one for babies! Go for SPF 50!
    Hope this helps 😊🫶

Use micellar water on a makeup removing towel! So much better for your skin than the makeup wipes, and it makes my skin feel so much better.
For skincare, try the ordinary! They have great and affordable stuff.
I love Korean sunscreens because they are affordable and they sit well under makeup. Cos rx has a good one and beauty of josen, too.
I second someone else in the comments section saying that lab muffin is a good skincare channel!

I like a simple face wash , something like a gentle cleanser (I’ve used cera ve , cetaphil , simple .) They’re great for daily face washes . To take off makeup I like palmers rose hip cleansing oil. If I’m lazy I’ll do a micellar water (garnier is good but Evoluderm micellar water is amazing (they have em at Marshall’s). Then for moisturizer I use cetaphil moisturizing lotion (they have the moisturizing CREAM that is just a bit thicker ) . And yeah that’s my lil suggestions/routine .

For skincare, you need to figure out what type of skin you have first. And then all you r e a l l y need is a cleanser, a moisturizer, an spf and something to double cleanse. And then you’d just wash your face once in the morning with clean hands, pat your face dry with something clean, moisturize, and use spf. And then at night use your cleanser, and then whatever other thing to double cleanse (like a face oil or balm) and then moisturize. You should also exfoliate once a week with something gentle, like a chemical exfoliant. Cetaphil and cerave are good, pretty affordable brands for cleanser. I personally really like Japanese or Korean products for a second cleanser, moisturizer and esp esp, a sunscreen. If you wear sunscreen you have to double cleanse at night to effectively clean your skin. And be gentle with cleansing and make sure you cleanse for a couple minutes. The most important parts about skincare are using products for your skin type, and being consistent !

I have ridiculously sensitive skin it’s so hard for me to find skin care. I’ll find products that work and then after awhile they’ll start to make my skin ichy. The only moisturizer I could use was Cliniderm. I think it’s only available in Canada. It worked well But after a while even that started to bother my skin. Now I make my own lotions at home. I also use to really love Bare Minerals for foundation. But after awhile I started to noticed it made my skin itchy/irritated by the end of the day and kinda greasy at the end of the day. Finding sunscreen is also a nightmare for me, the only thing I could find that was tolerable was The Bioré UV Aqua Rich Weightless Moisturizer SPF 50. I think it’s possible I could have gotten a fake off Amazon but I noticed it made my skin really dry and dehydrated. But again, maybe it was just my sensitive skin acting up after awhile idk. I know this is not helpful at all 😂. But I’m a girl and want to rant to. I sometimes wonder if skincare is even good for you.
