ABOUT SWAMI KRIYANANDA
In 1948 at the age of twenty-two, Swami Kriyananda (J. Donald Walters) became a disciple of the Indian yoga master, Paramhansa Yogananda. Yogananda is best known for his spiritual classic, *Autobiography of a Yogi*. In his book he recalls his experiences growing up in India and his life in America. He writes of meeting the great spiritual master Babaji, and how Babaji reintroduced the life changing meditation technique of Kriya Yoga. He tells of his life with his guru, Swami Sri Yukteswar Giri, of his guru Lahiri Lahiri Mahasaya, and his meeting with Anandamoy Ma. He tells about his experience in cosmic consciousness (samadhi) and his trips to see many of the saints in India and his trip to the Kali temple.
Yogananda moved to America and developed the energization exercises and taught the meditation techniques of Hatha Yoga and especially Kriya Yoga. He founded Self Realization Fellowship and spoke often of the need for world brotherhood colonies.
At Yogananda’s request, Swami Kriyananda devoted his life to lecturing and writing, helping others to experience the living presence of God within. He taught on four continents in seven languages over the course of 65 years. His talks, his music, and his many books have touched the lives of millions. An advocate of simple living and high thinking, his more than 150 books emphasize the need to live wisely by one’s own experience of life, and not by abstract theories or dogmas. A composer since 1964, Walters has written over 400 musical works. His music is inspiring, soothing, and uplifting.
He taught meditation to thousands and has initiated many into the life changing technique of Kriya Yoga. His books and teachings on spiritualizing nearly every field of human endeavor include business life, leadership, education, the arts, community, and science. He wrote extensive commentaries on the Bible and the Bhagavad Gita, both based on the teachings of Paramhansa Yogananda. He is known as the “father of the intentional communities movement,” which began in the United States in the late 1960s, fulfilling Yogananda's dream.
He founded the first of what are now 10 Ananda communities worldwide in 1967 near Nevada City, California. Other Ananda communities have developed over the years to include Ananda Palo Alto, Ananda Sacramento, Ananda Portland, Ananda Seattle, Ananda Los Angeles, Ananda Assisi in Italy, and Ananda India near Delhi and Pune. Each community has a spiritual focus (a teaching center and temple) and a community (homes where members live). More than 1,000 people live in these intentional spiritual communities. Swami Kriyananda’s example of inspired leadership was the reason for Ananda’s success. He uplifted and encouraged people through personal example, spiritual counseling, writing, lecturing, music, and prayer. He trained the current Ananda leaders in much the same way: free from egoic motivation, always placing the spiritual needs of others foremost in all decisions. He was a patient and sensitive teacher, allowing people to learn by experience, and never placing institutional needs ahead of the needs of an individual. “People are more important than things” is one of the foremost guiding principles of Ananda. And “Where there is adherence to dharma [right action], there is victory,” is another.

There is no evidence of lost teachings of Jesus. People like you have no critical thinking ability, so you easily fall for falsehood. And it doesn't follow logically to love Jesus more for alleged lost teachings. I would love him less, because lost teachings implies that he was incompetent to preserve all his teachings.

I volunteer and attend a gospel based church and if they asked I would tell them what I believe. We shall see. Oh and you will not scare me with Hell talk, seeing how that concept is entirely irrational and wicked. There are judgements but none are eternal or you would be in it right now-hence "eternal". enterprise2013 do you have scriptures for anything you said? Also, not to take anything from Jesus but many humans have died horrible deaths. You have to think for yourself and not what people have told you from books written by man.
What I noticed is that most Christians are not really well versed in the bible nor do they know the history, context or allegories of what they read.

Christ has promised to take us with Him when He returns, rather than taking us to the place He prepared for us before His return.
He would come to pick us up only when He returns, but he didn't say that he would take us to the place He prepared for us (the kingdom of heaven) before that.
This is also what Christians are very confused about. If Christ hasn't returned, those people cannot enter heaven, as they need to wait for the returned Christ to pick them up. So they are eagerly waiting for the Second Coming of Christ.
If there is no reincarnation, then for the past two thousand years, those who died because of their testimony for Christ, could only wait in the netherworld. This doesn't make sense.
Therefore, now we are reinterpreting the Bible with the concept of reincarnation.
In early Christianity, there was a belief in reincarnation, because it mentioned concepts such as resurrection and rebirth, which are related to reincarnation.
Later Christians are confused about it, and that's why Christianity is now in decline. Not many people believe, because they couldn't explain it convincingly. With the development of science, it becomes inexplicable.
In the past, people believed blindly, but nowadays, it's not that easy for people to believe. You have to convince them. You need to make your arguments clear, at least logically consistent, otherwise they won't listen.

I believe that if we ever encounter intelligent life forms from outer space (so far we haven't)... They will most probably have views similar to Buddhism or Santana Dharma, since on a scientific basis, they make the most amount of sense.

We have no proof to either affirm or deny the presence of God, just like we don't have proof that aliens have already visited us.
Why I personally believe in Sanatana Dharma, is because, it reverberates the same line of thought- it understands the machinations of the universe and translates it into simplistic means for consumption to the masses. Vishnu, Shiva, Brahma- these are merely forces of preservation, destruction and creation respectively... Because that's how the universe functions in balance. VEDAS means SCIENCE
VEDIC AGE means AGE OF SCIENTIFIC ACHIEVEMENTS.
Hindus recognised the importance of planets and Star in the life of an individual. They developed the system of counting of days, month and year.
They assigned a day for of each planet in the solar system which contitues a week. As we have 7 planets in our Solar System from Ravi, Som, Mangal, Buddh, Brihaspati, Shukra and Shani. Each of these 7 planets signify days of the week from sunday to saturday.
We have therefore this system of saat phere, sapt padi, saat vachan etc.
We generally say of saat jaman, saat samundar paar, saatwa aasmaan etc etc. which is primarily based on 7 planets.
We also had Sapt Rishi and it is said the they are forefathers of all the existing humans on earth.
Our early Rishis were great scientist and researchers who studied varied subject including Planet and Stars their effect on human life.
The Rishis/ Sages were great astronomers who acquired detailed knowledge including its size, colour and distance of Planets and Stars from our mother earth and the effect of each on our lives.

They divided the Sky into 12 Zodiacs/Rashis. Each Zodiac/Rashi is goverened by a cluster of stars which the sages named as Nakshatras.
The Earth rotates around the Sun in its oval orbit (not round circle) and completes the circle of 360 degree in 365 days. If you divide 365 by 12 will get 30/31 as an average days in each zodiac which completes a month.
The whole system of sanatan dharm is based on science/astronomy.
In astrology/Jyoteesh (jyot means light & eesh means God). We consider 9 planets in jyoteesh, here the extra two planets are shadow planets i.e., Rahu and Ketu and these are two points in the sky. We are the ones who recognised and accepted the existence of almighty god and developed the ways and means to pray to the almighty god.
Panet means Grah means what you have - To Take or Accept (means ग्रहण करना). So, whatever Grah is giving whether good or bad that you will have to accept as per you prarabdh.
In Surya(Sun) SU means follower and ARYA means dharma. Therefore, Surya means follower of dharma.
Those people who were followers of the Sun God were known as Aryans i.e., dharma. Aryans were the followers of Surya - The SUN God. Surya/Sun God's 1st name is Mitra/Mithra god (a friend - without whom there cannot be any possibilty of life on earth) in Rigveda - 1st VEDA and by this name European and the world prayed and revered the Sun God and this mithra had 12 disciples (i.e., Zodiacs/ Rashis) in the same way the story of Jesus goes who also had twelve disciples and their holi(pious) day is Sunday when the catholics go to Church.
They also celebrate the birth of a New Sun on 25th December as Christmas(Celebration of Bada Din) when the daytime starts to grow. They also have the system of saint/sant. Sun is the "saviour" of humanity as without sun whole existence of life on earth will end. The symbol of sun is "swastika".
Jesus is also the "saviour" of humanity and Swastika was the initial symbol that has been modified to "Cross". The organisation of Doctors is Red Cross Society and as doctors are "Saviour" of humanity, therefore this organization has also adopted the sign of "Swastika" with little modification.
Dharma means "that which holds" the people of this world and the whole creation(COSMOS which is eternal/ sanatan).
Description
Dharma is a Sanskrit expression of the widest import. There is no corresponding word in any other language. It would also be futile to attempt to give any definition of the word. It can only be explained. It has a wide variety of meanings. A few of them would enable us to understand the range of that expression. Hence, dharma can be briefly said as "that which contains or upholds the cosmos (which is eternal/ sanatan)."
Therefore, Surya is the "Follower" of that "Dharma" which holds the whole creation (Cosmic Laws).
All humans and creatures absorbs(धारण करते है) the rays of the Sun and is affected by the Sun directly or indirectly through reflection of other planets.
"हम जो धारण करते है ग्रहो के माध्यम से, उसे ही धर्म कहते है ।"
It is because everybody has to accept the cosmic rays.
We have 12 zodiac/rashis, if you multiply 9×12 it comes to 108 which is why Pandits Chants for 108 times and its multiples for graha shanti. Each of the 9 planet are prayed in all the 12 rasis/ Zodiacs/houses.
In the same way we have 27 nakshatras which controls the planets and each nakshatra has four padas(divisions as per degrees), if you multiply 27×4 you will get 108.
Therefore, we only have 108 rudraksha in a mala.
The Maha mandaladheeswaras are also called by this such as Shree Shree 108 or 1008 etc.
Till date everyone on the planet earth is governed by this system of week, month and year which is purely based on astronomy.
Our Panchang system keeps the detailed study of this planetary movement in advance.
Based on the movement of planet earth around the Sun we have day and night. We still have count of everyday which is evident in the shloka which the Pandits chant when they tie thread(baddhi) around our wrist and when they take sankalp to do a certain puja for us, in that sankalp itself they say in short the count of earths life till present day and even the presence of moon in a certain zodiac/ rashi.

If anybody can change the number of days in a week and days in month then only can be said to have a religion other than Hindu/ Sanatan.
Every human being who takes birth on this earth is a primary a member of this sanatan paddhati of days, month, year which is based on movement of planets around the Sun and therefore is primarily a Hindu/Sanatani.

Fyi Lord Krishna saved these women from a demonic king who had kept them as slaves. Lord Krishna released them but they were being persecuted and they had no names or surnames. So Lord Krishna married them to give them rights that was due to them. He had no physical relationship with them.

Only if the whole Biblical theoretical system is explained by the concept of reincarnation, will it be harmonious, self-consistent, logical and not contradictory.
Such a plan by God also best conforms to human nature.
With such a plan, souls can be saved.
After reincarnation, one can continue to repent in the human world.
In this way, they will reincarnate again and again, and eventually reach the conditions to enter the blissful heaven.
Otherwise, only very few souls can enter the blissful heaven after death.
However, most souls will either wait for judgment in the underworld for an unknown period of time;
or end up in the lake of fire in hell without any chance to come out.
This cannot be God’s will.
The Bible clearly tells us that, death and all the evils tightly connected with death were not created by God.
The death of living beings does not delight him.
God created everything, so that everything can last and survive.
What He created are good and beautiful.
Even if a soul has gone to hell, he can still be saved.
After been punished in hell, the soul will eventually come out and be a human again.
In the end they will have a chance to believe in God, repent, and be saved.

There's a book call The Aquarium Gospel Of Jesus The Christ that talk about the same subject matter, about Jesus going too India and studying with the masters and also traveling to Egypt were he studied there . 18 years is more than enough time for Jesus to visit Egypt, Carthage, Rome, Athens. Constantinople, Persepolis, cities in India, China, Tibet and a few others. As the Son of God or God in human form, He would want to see for Himself what was "...going on down there."

I feel the same way about organizing religion. Especially the church’s decision to omit certain gospels that went against the church’s agenda. That’s blasphemous in my opinion.

Recently I saw dream. Young boy Yogananda surrounded by three old indian philosophers. This little boy was laughing. He was surrounded by golden sunlight. His laugh was heavenly beautiful! And the Voice told me that this boy (Yogananda) is the reincarnation of Jesus. But people didn't recognize him in 20th century.

i have left the church now, after 45 years..i'm now converting to be a Jain. After learning that St Francis ordered the goa inquisition of my people historically, causing the pain, suffering and deaths of forced conversion - Proselytism, I am too digsuted to end my life as a catholic. The church did not take Jesus' true peacful teachings, instead they turned it into profitable control and the Pope still enforces this notion himself..i wholly disagree. When i was a little girl at church, i sat at the back 3 benches and always stared behind me at the 3 mailboxes where you could place a donation, one of them labelled 'The poor'. Every week the basket came round for church donations and for heating and light and the roof fund, I scrutinised this, why would we all want to give money to the basket and not to the box labelled the poor? I always kep my money behind for that box!! Til today, I never forget that, I was only happy with the church, when after 20 years of attending, they finally opened up their doors to house and feed the homeless one night of the week, I stopped attending mass and volunteered to cook, clean, wash clothes and befriend homeless people and it was one of best things I have done with my life..attending church was once a very important act for me, but this cannot be compared!! Christ has promised to take us with Him when He returns, rather than taking us to the place He prepared for us before His return.
He would come to pick us up only when He returns, but he didn't say that he would take us to the place He prepared for us (the kingdom of heaven) before that.
This is also what Christians are very confused about. If Christ hasn't returned, those people cannot enter heaven, as they need to wait for the returned Christ to pick them up. So they are eagerly waiting for the Second Coming of Christ.
If there is no reincarnation, then for the past two thousand years, those who died because of their testimony for Christ, could only wait in the netherworld. This doesn't make sense.
