  • Here's a little bit longer video about all the different sizes and shapes of these DC brushless electronic fans. What makes him so unique has high power in a small package for higher-end models and a huge variety of sizes from 1 inch through 6 in in diameter and a wide bearing amount of flow rates although most time data pinstriping are very high-end models that demonstrate how powerful these fans can be.

Why is it that its soooooo satisfying watching fans spinning and blowing so much air and how so many fans are so diverse like the triple fin one.

You should do a series on CPU coolers next, it kinda goes along with the high performance fan theme...
But either way, I love QUALITY. It could literally be ANYTHING, if it's above average, well made, commercial or industrial grade, heavy-duty, or high performance then I'm automatically fascinated. It reminds me of the high performance bounce house inflators you reviewed, lol. I have absolutely no interest in inflating bounce houses. But I love learning and seeing high quality "stuff" and "things". I love when you show us how something works, and why it's better than average. I dread the day you run out of things in your house to show us...

Hi Catus, thanks for the video.. Been trying to research some information on fans types and sizes - I'm trying to find out what type of fan I should use for an air filtration system on a small cupboard for cleaning electronics. The cupboard is just about one cubic meter and I'm using a 30cm by 40 cm hepa filter (maybe ill have to increase that). I really would like to get a strong flow of air going and I'm a bit confused with what type of fan to use and what kind of setup... I find a lot of people using usb fans but it doesnt feel strong enough... any advice? thanks for your help

I'm getting nowhere fast trying to learn about wiring my Delta EFC1548DG 48V 3.12A fans. I've learned that this model number is only a line designation, with capacities from half an amp to at least 4 amps. No data sheet is available on the Delta site, possibly because it isn't in production any longer? Some videos state that brushless fans won't run on straight DC, or possibly need to be manual started, which doesn't seem to be the case as you are powering them with what I assume, is DC, not PWM DC. I searched Amazon and ebay for a brushless controller that would handle my voltage and amperage, and the higher voltage I want to operate from (up to 80V open voltage from a 48V solar array). The only controllers I could find were for e-bikes and had 40 irrelevant signal cables, such as anti-theft. Some controllers have the blue and yellow PWM and tach wires reversed. There is definitely a need for more info on UA-cam about PWM control of server fans. Thanks for your interest in these classy devices.

Lol, I don't know if anyone threw in this joke yet, but here it goes. At 4:50 into the video. How do I move a lot of air out of a tiny hole? Go to White Castle at midnight, and pick up a sack of 50. Then on your way back home, go to Mcdonals and pick up a few items from the dollar menu, after that, go to pizza hot and buy a few pies. go home, and binge on all that. Guarantee to move a lot of air not too long afterward. And then some.

So any of these fans can in fact be used in any home PC case? I was under the impression, that you can only use these fans in server type setups? I have a 750watt power supply in my PC, and an old gaming Z motherboard installed. My current fans are 120mm front, back, and side panels. And my top fans are 200mm NZXT fans. Can I install any of these power fans without frying my motherboard?

No you need to find out at the motherboard header can take the wattage otherwise you need a special adapter where the fan power wires directly connect to the power supply and the siganal wires still connect to the motherboard

And the fact that many Deltas are rated for 70000+ hours of runtime
