I was in an f18 squadron in my early 20's and that screaming noise those little fans were making reminds me of when they do maintenance tests (idk what they were doing tbh) on the f18's in the hangar. Our offices were like not in the big part of the hangar, but attached so we were like right next to the jets and they'd make that high pitched sound when they really cranked them up lol. Haven't heard that sound in like 17 years.
I have that same delta fan in the end of video and turns out u didn't blow it up as i was curious what its gonna happen as it got speed limiter well its save
I'm wondering if anyone has modified some of these fans for Drones? Thinking, if you put Drone type blades, one of these fans would definitely fly. Not to mention, drones all use DC Brushless motors for their fans. I have a bunch of these 40mm fans on Ebay now because I'm stripping down over 100 1U Servers for Scrap. Each Server has 7 of these fans.
Question for the Delta GFB0412SHE @ 3:30 what is the lowest voltage it can take? Like the required voltage it needs to start spinning? Would 5.5v be enough? Sites selling it say the voltage range is 7v - 13v. Your video shows it starting at around 3.7v. Can you test one at 5.5v and tell me if it spins? It would help me alot with something
I have several of these server fans, they are pretty powerful. I was curious as to how much voltage a 12v AVC 40 x 40 x 28mm fan handle? They are rated at nominal 12v but can handle up to 13.2v The ones I have are AVC 1 amp rated. I also have a 50 x 50 x 28mm fan, rated at 1.65amp. I wanted to overvolt to 15v with a 4S Lipo for use in my RC cars. Do you think the fan can handle 15v?
How can I put these in cpu case? I know someone dude have these fans and asking 2$ for a fan😂. My room temp is hot in summers like 40-52. Thats why I want to use 2 or may be 4 of these fans in my cpu case [i7 4790, 8gb, rx 680, 16gb and 4 hard disks]
@@HL4EHalfLife yeah, Im collection computer fan's now, I want to have a collection of computer fans just like you, maybe if can find powerful fans on PCS or computer Servers I can build a fanbox Mini, but I need to find a powerful power supply that can make the fans blow a lot of air like you did with your fan box, that was hot tho.
8:39 that one went out with dance moves lmao

Monday I took out the doungshittang dc brushless fan from the mini fridge.
I'm going to add it to my fan collection DC 12V 0.25A
I had a big Nidec fan hovering a long while ago.
You should have did a Air flow/volume test
I was looking for reviews on 40mm fans and ran across this. Very cool, I love stuff like this. What are you using for an adjustable power supply?
A 10amp variac.
Good Show!
Was hoping for thrust weight ratios

Yes they will start to spin at around 3.5 to 4 volts dc but won't have much power behind it.
@@HL4EHalfLife thank you

It should handle 15v just fine. As you can see in this series of videos most of the fans handle 20, 25, even 30v and up but only for a short time.

Do you have any links to where we can buy these fans?
Ebay, Amazon, etc.
It is water resistant?
What voltage are they rated for? You seem to be going really high! haha
12 volts
Can you explain the push-pull concept? Would these be good on an RC for cooling the motor?
Never mind. Researched it. Cool concept and produces a beam of air rather than tossing air around aimlessly.
@@jcallesano Yep.
@Jarah mansoor I wouldn't. It's too delicate.
You'd need a beefy case fan at least 100mm in size for an application like that.
Test some AliExpress fans plz.
my cat finds the sound fascinating.
why do you need to make those strings completely stressed?
They tend to perform better under stress
all fans are 12v rated?
In this series of videos yes all are 12v DC.
Hi brother, which the best one of fan in this video..?
Thanks..
The Delta at top right is the most powerful one.
@@HL4EHalfLife okay, thanks bro..👍
This is hilarious

Why would you destroy these fans 😤
Because I have hundreds of them lying around.
I would have bought some of them off of you they are hard to find
