I think he still has it, but he talked about it in an interview. He said he wouldn't scream because he's older and trying to take care of himself. Maybe that's just the scientology speaking though. I mean Omar isn't jumping around going nuts like back in the day either so they've all kind of grown up. Sucks but that's what happens. I'm just grateful for all the live recorded footage of old ATDI.
they can still do it just like in their 20s today, they just need to do some cristiano ronaldo type workouts lmao atleast for cedric, omar still looks very young
Sarah Reiser and Laura Beard. I'm sure I've stuffed up the spelling. Anyway, they were killed in a car accident and were very close friends of the band and even sang back up on Ludvico Drive-In.
@Mark Dengler It's about 2 young women musician friends of the band that died in a crash. Incredible if this guy was friends of friends. I have know idea who they were but I think about them on march 23rd
@Ektasii YEA CAN'T WAIT, IT'S ALMOST LIKE A DREAM COME TRUE; SCRATCH THAT IT IS A DREAM COME TRUE! .... march 23rd hushed the wind, the music died / if you can't get the best of us now / it's because this is forever ....
probably the best performance as far as his vocals are concerned, but to be fair on most of the songs he jumps about a lot and probably makes it hard to sing - i'd be dead if i did what he did on stage :P
@ramonthe3rd just cause a guitar doesnt play a typical melodic riff doesnt mean its good..thats the hole point of music not to be as typical and genericas some other people..its art its creatitvity..this band is pretty much known kinda for having long extented melodies..as well as other things..that came from sheer creativity..they know the sounds of their instruments..thats all music is sound and noise..from primitive times to now..their wasnt such things as a scale..even tho i know so many
@alphaguitar2 It's more than that though, they're tired of those songs and want to play new ones; there's an interview on here somewhere where Cedric talks about the band deciding that they didn't want to play fifteen year old songs.
This is the best "live" version of Napoleon Solo available. Such a great version of this song.
I love Omar and Cedric but Jim really deserves some love too!
I agree Jim was an integral part of the band!
RIP Maureen, you loved this shit. Jan 23rd 1979-March 31st 2004.
for all those that say his voice is gone, that is not true. i just saw them with SOAD on oct 17 and his voice still sounds amazing.

Babypuke 2015 album
they can still do it just like in their 20s today, they just need to do some cristiano ronaldo type workouts lmao atleast for cedric, omar still looks very young
its weird, but a year or so after i heard this song,an old friend of mine died in a car crash. This song means so much to me now.

Sarah Reiser and Laura Beard. I'm sure I've stuffed up the spelling.
Anyway, they were killed in a car accident and were very close friends of the band and even sang back up on Ludvico Drive-In.
It was the greatest band of all.

Mars volta and sparta aren´t weaker, just different music, every music style it has it´s own power

@TheEmoLab Thank you!
@barbarapoo not to mention all they did for 5 years was tour and record albums with no break, it got the best of the relationships within the band.
cedric has such a powerful voice

Almost 12 years ago... I can't believe it.
Nice!
Lollapalooza I can't wait. There is only one band playing lolla this year, AT THE DRIVE IN

@Mark Dengler It's about 2 young women musician friends of the band that died in a crash. Incredible if this guy was friends of friends. I have know idea who they were but I think about them on march 23rd
I noticed that too

I can't believe they're si greaaaaaaaaaaat!!
@Ektasii YEA CAN'T WAIT, IT'S ALMOST LIKE A DREAM COME TRUE; SCRATCH THAT IT IS A DREAM COME TRUE! .... march 23rd hushed the wind, the music died / if you can't get the best of us now / it's because this is forever ....
he said austin in japan... awesome.
probably the best performance as far as his vocals are concerned, but to be fair on most of the songs he jumps about a lot and probably makes it hard to sing - i'd be dead if i did what he did on stage :P
1:57 That has to be the quickest spit and recovery I have ever seen hah.
@duil Your Welcome! :) AT The Drive-in Forever!
they're called rage against the machine
take THAT Japan..
ITSA coming!!!!!
Omar looks so young!!
@jojo1791 in/casino/out and vaya are my two favorites!
Can't believe I use the same bass (but only 2 eq, 1 volume). Didn't even know when I bought it. Exact same colours, even the fret board.
If you really listen to relationship of command, you can hear so much similarity between them and TMV.
i miss atd-i sometimes
today is March23
@clubzen: A-MEN. Can't be expressed any more detailed than that.
haha-me toooo!!!!
@keitaro21 I think that you if you like Mars Volta you'll like ATDI, too. It's kind of a musical appreciation, you want more and more from Omar.
No reunion without the afro! (goddamn, Cedric is on fire)
@brianahwanh yes for sure ! I knew Omar because I'm a fan of John Frusciante, now I listen to Mars Volta, ATDI, Defacto !
@ramonthe3rd just cause a guitar doesnt play a typical melodic riff doesnt mean its good..thats the hole point of music not to be as typical and genericas some other people..its art its creatitvity..this band is pretty much known kinda for having long extented melodies..as well as other things..that came from sheer creativity..they know the sounds of their instruments..thats all music is sound and noise..from primitive times to now..their wasnt such things as a scale..even tho i know so many
@starmanandblasterboy i concur
@jeffrox861 no. two girls died in a car crash. they were in a band with Cedric.
What a cool song. No clue what it means but rad
If March 23rd the music died, January 9th saw its resurrection!
@TheEmoLab Go to Coachella this year. Wish granted.
LMFAO SPARTAAAAAAAAA!!!
I have to say At the drive in better then the mars volta and i hope one day we can see them again
fucking omar is awesome!
My freaking god! What is the name of this band again? I need to get their albums... Freaking awesome.
at the drive in is amazing i would love to see 'em together
but i guess that cedric doesnt want to get back with em D:
@alphaguitar2 It's more than that though, they're tired of those songs and want to play new ones; there's an interview on here somewhere where Cedric talks about the band deciding that they didn't want to play fifteen year old songs.
100%
Epic post hardcore. I miss my younger days.
@TheEmoLab You might now have to, they got back together!
@TheEmoLab Well guess what. They're at Coachella.
Is this the same group I seen in the 80's in coventry?
I believe the first place I heard them was the Mercia pub.
