The book is totally worth reading!! The tv show is a brilliant adaptation but the book goes into a lot more detail and adds some extra swoonworthy scenes of Matthew and Diana! Hope you enjoy the final episode tonight!

READ THE BOOKS!!!.... and yes that is plural.... there are 3 in the Discovery of Witches series... and they are making the others into series as well.... so worth the time. They are not short quick reads, but are amazingly full of depth and detail that sucks you in so that you will have a hard time putting them down.

I’m obsessed with the Hourglass Unlocked palette. The bronzer is the best. I love using the bronzer in the crease and the peachy shade on the lid, then run them along the lower lash. Stunning!
I’m glad the Lala whipped moisturiser doesn’t have spf because I think it’s a great night cream. It’s better to wear a separate spf in the morning.

I haven read or seen the show but I always read the book. Before or in the middle or after. I always find the read is still worth it. I adore MJ eyeshadows. I might have to go for this one. I started watching a Discovery of Witches & decided to download the series on my kindle. Read the first book but found it was spoiling the TV show for me as I’m watching it with hubby, so have put the next two books on ice & will read them later. Not supernatural but I love love love This Is Us, just finished series 2. It’s an amazing show, has me in tears pretty much every episode. Can’t wait for series 3 which is currently showing in the US but not over our side of the pond yet. Have also signed up to beauty pie, might have to get myself a candle next month! X

Morgan if Fleur doesn’t respond I think it’s sally Hansen from her last faves however topshop do a colour very similar called shrimpy that with a clear top coat would look the same

Last month, I went travelling around India for 3 weeks and forgot my entire makeup bag 🙈 As a makeup lover, I freaked out when I landed in Delhi but remembered I had packed my Hourglass Ambient lighting palette in another bag. Literally, just used that one pallet as highlight, bronzer, contour and eyeshadow for the entire trip and loved it!! Lifesaver & totally worth the price 💕 💕

I love A Discovery of Witches. I saw the TV show before reading the book and I still thoroughly enjoyed the book. I’d definitely say it’s worth reading.
Read the books! Deborah is also an historian and her academic expertise and knowledge of Oxford comes through in her fiction writing. She really is a great author, so it's definitely worth reading the books to compliment the tv series. 😊
Read the books! I love all 3 so much! And she just came out with a book all about Marcus! Seriously a great read.

100% read the books! The tv series is a really good adaptation but the book gives you way more context and little details that enhance the tv series.

Yes read the books.... there is so much more! love the writing and the details. It really get you caught up in their world.
Definitely read the book(s) of Discovery of WItches - I stopped watching the series after 2 episodes then read the books and they just add loads of detail but the tv show definitely won't spoil reading the books!
Louisa Davis I did the same, watching the rest of the series once I’d read the book helped it to make so much more sense - like the whole Knights of Lazurus bit which is only covered in about 2 seconds on the show!

Read the book! It helps explain so much more than the show! The book was a page turner as well and I couldn’t put it down.
The two palettes look amazing. I'm pretty sure I have all those colours in various other palettes but they're so tempting! The MJ one is surprisingly reasonably priced.

I got into Discovery of Witches via the show and I couldn't wait to see what happened so I got the ebook. I think the show is even better when you read the book. There are so many tiny details that the show acknowledges, but reading the book added to it!
I absolutely love the tv show! :) now that I know there are books out there I definitely want to read them, but I love reading books even if there is a tv show. :)
Hi Fleur! Loved your faves this month, can't wait for the Marc Jacob's palette to be available in Canada. Also loving Discovery of Witches! I am halfway through book #2 and I can definitely say at this point you should read the books as well. I've only been unable to download up to episode 6 sadly and haven't been able to find ep 7 online yet (sad face), it's not going to be available in north America until next year sometime and it will kill me if I have to wait that long to see the last two episodes of the first season....frustration...lol
I bought the first book, might need the other two too, to hold me over until season 2!

Absolutely read the All Souls Trilogy....the books are wonderful. I was able to see the first episode at a convention with the author, but we won’t get the television show until January here in the states. Can’t wait and glad you are a fan!

Yes yes yes read the books!!!! I have listened to the audio books more times than I can count. I love reading but I play them while I am working from home. The 2nd book is my fav... they are going to have season 2 and 3 as well.
still worth reading the book!!!! Also the show only goes up to the first book and you could still make it to the next two!
Hi Fleur, yes I would recommend reading the book! I read it in about 3 days (it’s quite long!) and then re-watched the series and it helped make more sense of a few bits. I’ve recorded the finale to watch tonight and am about to get started on the second book. It’s been great for me as I love escaping into a fantasy world, I’m not a huge fan of real-life TV/books as I prefer something supernatural like you 😊

You really tempted me with the hourglass palette however do you think it would be as versatile and as effective on a darker skin tone? I’m of Asian origin and am scared to buy it without trying it but can’t get to a spacenk anytime soon.
I use actually the straight up 8 hour cream And just squeeze it into a old pot it’s the best
