It took Atwater 6 seasons to get a love interest…
But she still wasn't right woman for him, she was still a criminal. They've both deserves better love interests than the ones they sent them. Torres new love interests spells TROUBLE with the capital T.
Both Atwater's were criminals or sympathetic to criminals.
@@BruteStrength99 Ok I don't care if Kevin Atwater was in trouble with the law sense the day he was born until he turned his life around. Kevin and Torres still deserves better love interests than the ones the writers sents them. For the record Torres is different from the rest of the cops because he use to be a gang member just like Vanessa remember. But Torres needs to prove himself and them that he really changed but that woman had him under her skin the moment they've met.
@bhd7721 I didn't say he didn't deserve someone. He does. I have issues with how he chooses his women. Something isn't working. I'd like to see him date another officer. Maybe one he meets on a case. Interestingly enough, Officer Rojas was supposed to evolve into Atwater's love interests until Lizzete Chavez abruptly left the show during the pandemic and is now Officer Chavez in The Rookie.

Since we’ve seen the episode little did we know that this wasn’t the end of it. Think about it, we first had Escano, the drug kingpin in season 9, then at season 10, Richard Beck, a white supremacist. Now this season centers taking down you already know it, another druglord. It just so happens that each season it’s about going after druglords. Maybe in the next season, it’ll be taking down another drug kingpin or trafficking.
i mean that kinda echoes real life no? drug trafficking is one of the oldest and most consistent criminal enterprises, like ever. it won't ever be eradicated, no matter how much police or governments try.
It's a show about police intelligence tackling the issues we don't know exist. What else would they do?
