As a very old fan: Halstead had the best stunts on this show, always. Jesse is one of the best runners I've ever seen, he just looks excellent while running, like it is all effortless for him, and he has very quick feet. In comparison, Ruzek always looked clumsy while running because the actor who plays Ruz isn't as fit as Jesse, he is heavier, and he runs slower, it's visible. Fun fact: Jesse did most of his physical stunts on the show, especially in the early seasons, he also has a black belt in some type of martial arts, but I don't remember now which one exactly. I read it in the interview. God, I miss this, I miss the old Chicago PD !! With the old, original team, I miss the old Halstead who was badass and had a sarcastic sense of humor, and when all the characters were more badass and the action scenes were way, way better! The old is gold! The absolutely brilliant seasons of this show will always be seasons 1 -5, and then the good ones were still season 6 and the start of season 7, but seasons 8,9, 10 were horrible, and not the same show. My favorite characters will always be the original Hank (nowadays Hank is way too bland), Olinsky, Halstead from seasons 1-6, Erin and Mouse.
Jay had the best chases and physical fights on this show since day 1!! His and Amaro's chase was brilliant in 2x07 and all the crossover episodes with SUV were another level of genius, as well as Jay's solo chase in 2x02, and the one that wasn't put in this video, from 6x02 - all brilliantly done. Plus, the chase and the fight between Jay and the gang member of the Latin Kings in 1x11 is still worthy of the Bourne franchise - brilliant choreography. All of these involved Jay, and he has done even more great stunts on this show. And if you closely follow the show and the actor, it's understandable why Halstead, in particular, had so many great chases/fights. It's because the actor, Jesse Lee Soffer, is the best-trained actor out of the whole cast. Few fun facts for people who maybe just started to watch PD or those who don't know: Brian Luce is an expert and producer on the show, a real veteran Chicago cop, and he and Jesse have been basically best buddies since day one, their families became friends. And Luce said that Jesse is the only one among the cast who could make a great cop in real life. Jesse is the best shooter out of the cast in real life - he is an excellent shooter, and is also the fittest, in great physical shape. Just a few of the curiosities. But this is also why, it pis*es me off even more, how the new producers and writers treated Halstead character since mid-season 7. They ruined him by involving him with yet another, too-dramatic romantic relationship with Hailey, and they ruined his relationship with Hank. Hank and Jay were only getting closer through the years, and after Erin left they were absolutely on the same page, they were on the trajectory to be even closer after season 6, and then, in season 7, it all got ruined because the writers& producers bent to the public pressure to make a show less badass, they went wrong about the police reform issue (after Floyd case and protests - if you remember this huge dispute about TV cop shows in the media) and they dragged all characters and the show with it, but mostly Jay and Hank were hurt by this storyline, and their relationship. Even the actor said in a few interviews, he wanted Jay to go in the opposite direction, and be closer to Hank, not butt heads with him. So now I'm not surprised at all that Jesse decided to leave the show and left, you can tell by these interviews, that he was not happy with how they wrote his character for the past 4 seasons. The quality of the show declined in general, that is a fact. The clips in this video only made me more nostalgic about the old Chicago PD, made me think how great it once was, and that I miss it because the current Chicago PD is nowhere near as good! And Jesse, who was absolutely brilliant as badass and sarcastic Halstead in the first 6 seasons, and worked so hard and gave his all for all these years, simply deserved better in the last 4 seasons of the show!! And the fans deserved a better story and ending for Halstead as well! I don't know if he will come back to wrap the Halstead storyline better and once and for all, I hope so, but it doesn't matter either way for me, because I no longer watch the current Chicago PD. The best seasons will always be seasons 1- 6 and the Infection crossover episodes at the start of season 7, after that, it all went downhill.
I miss Jay, Antonio, and Mouse the most, and I miss those times when the whole Unit was like a real family and badass. The badassery of this show disappeared more or less in the middle of season 7. They also changed the characters too much. The original Chicago PD with old Jay, old Voight, Al, Erin, and Mouse will always be the best version of this show. Seasons 1-4 especially, and in general seasons 1-6 were the best, plus some other episodes here and there, but in general, when we talk about the whole seasons being great, it is 1-6 for me.
Yes Chicago PD has always had the good action and heart-thumping car chases. The foot chase with Jay and Nick Amaro, from SVU, is one of my faves. Two sexy cops chasing down perps and hoping that fence at the same time!!!😳😍🥰💋💯

@@Fisheee123 they were all badass and great in the first six seasons of the show. they toned down the show in season 7 because of the Floyd protests and the police reform theme, and it honestly ruined the show for me. It is not the same anymore. My beloved team and the characters will forever be, the Unit: Hank, Olinsky, old Halstead, Antonio, Mouse as an IT guy of the team, Erin, then on the patrol: Burgess and Atwater, and Roman, and of course, Platt behind the desk in the reception. Not one of these things is there on the show anymore. I want my old Chicago PD back! I miss old badass and hilarious Jay, I miss Jay&Erin, I miss Voight being a father figure for Erin, I miss Burgess and Atwater on the patrol etc.
@@teresakaminska5716 mostly agree! I miss all of that, Burgess and Atwater being patrol officers and Trudy being sassy to them, it gave us a second storyline in the episode for the most part. But, I am really proud of Burgess and Atwater being now part of Intelligence, it was pretty much their goal since the first episodes.
@@charliefual oh, I agree with that! Burgess and Atwater as a part of the Unit are great but I miss all the rest that I described, and also, the patrol thing resulted in more varied, more interesting storylines on the show, that's why I miss it.

There is no universe in which Jay Halstead doesn’t fight for his marriage, to get his wife back. Maybe it’s Jason’s personality but Jay is a loving man who proved and said many times that he is completely in love with Hailey Upton. Their relationship was never a trauma response. We want justice for the characters, for the actors and for us, the fans. We just one a happy ending for #Upstead. You know what to do.
What exactly does Jason have to do with Jesse leaving to be able to direct episodes of Chicago PD? Jesse was just tired of being tied down to doing one part. That's it. He wanted to spread his wings & do other things.

Sophia Bush could meet Joe Biden over lunch ... and the two of them could match each other as to missing syllables in their words, and match failures in their respective enunciation problems, causing errors as to hearing the sentences correctly!
0:19 OK did anyone else notice that that police officer did not have a seatbelt on like if they’re really and truly trying to promote police work and being an officer the number one rule on the road is to wear your seatbelt
Anyone else impressed with Halstead’s speed in the foot chases? He is really fast! ❤️💙💚
