My advice is to rearrange the palettes! I started using my Natasha palettes much more once I arranged the shades in a way that spoke to me. My Retro Glam just happens to be arranged very similar to the Sakura palette
I agree, I prefer her larger palettes and I wish she would do more of them. They are pricey, but she does sales throughout the year and that helps. I feel like minus I Need A Nude, I get one or two looks I like out of most of her palettes. I don't do the graphic artist looks that she does and don't need do many versions of the same color. All of that said, she has a wonderful formula. I'm excited to see what she has for us this year. I'd love to heat your thoughts on Pat McGrath this way as well.
I love the Zendo for the variety it has. It gives 5 trios in my opinion. A lot of the midi palettes are so monochrome and can dupe it self. Zendo is a great compagnion to the rest of her palettes.
I wasn’t sure I’d get a whole lot of use out of the Zendo palette but I always grabs it in the summer and the Yama shade makes me grab for it throughout the year!
I decluttered my midi Zendo and ended up with the My Dream and Retro Glam which are expansions of each side 😅 my Zendo shades just didn't perform like my other Natasha shadows it was bizarre
I really want the retro palette. Should have gotten it at Ulta in December when they were $10, plus I had points. I actually like the fact that the shimmers would be smoother for aging eyes. The only thing holding me back are the reddish shades. But usually if there are only two shades I won't wear I will usually get the palette anyway. I still want it though lol
ND palettes are my entire collection of palettes … mini and midi 😆 not that I’ve bought all her palettes i don’t have all her minis or any of her larger palettes but currently all the palettes i have are ND i wouldn’t repurchase every one I’ve ever bought but the midis i would and would not are : Midi glam yes I need a nude yes Midi bronze yes Midi retro yes Yucca yes Retro glam yes Midi zendo yes Midi xenon yes Midi my dream no Midi Pastel no Midi love no - decluttered Midi Sunrise no - decluttered
So I really wanted the retro palette since it was released bc I love the color story but never got it. When I swatched it in store recently though, the shimmers felt subpar compared to I Need. Nude and Yucca. I'm afraid I'll be disappointed if I get it. What's your opinion on those shimmers vs the ones in recent palettes from Natasha?
That’s a great point! The sparkling foiled formulas in her newest palettes do make her regular Metallics look a bit lacklustre. I really am a huge fan of the sparkling foiled formula and if you love that really sparkly look, you’d love those! 💕
The Retro shimmers are disappointing against most of her palettes! They were always subtle and to me mediocre... I've got plenty cheaper palettes with better shinier shimmers. They're more satin shimmers
@@ChristyHealey I agree. It all depends on what works for you. I love the idea of it, just not the way it works for my skin tone. If there were a touch more warmth to it, it would probably be a staple in my collection.

I didnt think I'd use the Love palette. But once I added some neutral tones from another palette, I do appreciate the colors very much.
Ohh I’ll have to try that!!

That’s a good point - some of the midis are very repetitive! I would love to do this for Pat McGrath!!🤗

That’s a great point! It’s beautiful as a companion for sure!!
I'm one of the few who just can't appreciate the I need a Nude palette.

Ohh Yama is my favorite shade in the palette too!!

I heard a few different people say something similar on performance - that’s so strange! My dream and retro glam are beautiful though 💕
GLAM was my first ND buy and still my favorite!!! 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍
It’s SUCH a good one!!
I have been thinking about doing something like this, but I know it is going to be so tough lol.
I have her Cupid Cheek Duo. I love it❤
That’s a nice one too!

lol! I have palettes like that too that I can’t stop thinking about 😂. Maybe on the next sale!!
Would you recommend the mini metropolis to someone who'd never splurged on the midi?
I WISH I could love the Retro palette! I don’t know if I just got a dud, but it was so patchy on my eyes! Especially the darker shades. I was so sad 😭
Oh no! ☹️

Ohh thanks for sharing yours too!! We have very similar preferences 🥰 She makes up a bulk of my collection too lol!

@@exomake_mehorololo thank you for this info! Patty Alonso also said the shimmers weren't good, so she never reaches for Retro.
Cool 😎
I think the only Natasha Denona Palette I would not repurchase is the Glam Palette. I just don't like cool tones on me.
That’s fair! I feel like people either love or hate cool tones lol!
