I love the yucca palette but I was a little disappointed with how olive leaning it was as opposed to a more primary green. I love green, but I'm very particular with wanting greens that are that perfect mix of blue and yellow (or slightly more blue leaning is preferred over yellow leaning, for me). A majority of yucca is yellow leaning so it's not my PERFECT palette but it was my very first Natasha denona purchase and I regret nothing. Instead of descriptive words like "grungy" I would prefer people talk more plainly about color tones so people can make up their own mind about whether it suits them or not. Great video!
The green odens eye is a very different formula but has more blue based greens in it. I can also think of some other options if you’d like ☺️ I agree, I wish tone and texture were talked about both more plainly and more detailed
Im olive too, I basically look yellow next to some of my cool toned pink friends!!! I absolutely am so excited to get the Yucca Palette, thanks Colin for another great video!!!
@QueerBones I know a few people who dislike those formulas. I don't know if it's technique or tool used or what. I've never had any problem applying them. Pack on and then blend the edges. So easy to use.
Hi! I'm new to your channel but you for me as a new follower ranking yucca as #1! (Well also because I have goose bumps only thinking of rearranging palettes and not having the proper names on the shades)
Fun ranking! Nice to see someone love Lila like I do! I’d love to see you compare it to some Pat McGrath motherships. Do I have a dupe? I’m very pale and my favorite is retro glam.
I expect that your #1 is going to be at the top of a lot of people's "best of 2023" lists - it's certainly been my favorite! I usually rearrange the shades in my ND midis so that the most similar ones are side-by-side, but I haven't been able to bring myself to perform surgery on this one because it's so pretty as-is.
I only have the Midi-glam but I have the I Need a Nude on my Christmas wishlist so hopefully I receive it. lol. I also have my eye on the “my dream” palette maybe I’ll get that on the next Sephora Savings Event.
I’m in Canada we can’t get the ND eyeshadow palettes anymore at Sephora so I’ll have to buy somewhere else online. But I’m wondering where you have got many of these palettes on sale?
Hallo Colin, I am now thinking how would I rank my ND palettes . My top 5 I think is yucca, I need a nude, my dream, xenon, bronze. Now I am rethinking lol. I didn't even think of my mini
My first two Natasha Denona palettes were Biba and Triochrome. They were so beautiful but I had to pass them on to my sister because the shadows just disappeared from my oily eyelids within a few hours. I stopped buying her palettes after that. I decided to give it another go with I Need a Nude. Something has changed - the formula and/or my makeup skills - because I LOVE that palette for the color story, purpose and longevity. I had also held on to my Mini Biba. So glad I did. It was a champ of a palette to take on my Disney trip! I'm considering Yucca since I've had such a good experience with I Need a Nude. I might use one of my Sephora gift cards for it.
I think her formula has definitely changed. I’ve never had an issue with them disappearing though. The new shades work better but swatch worse I find. Will what primer do you use? If you get Yucca I’m excited to see what you think of it.
'This is definitely a pale white person focussed palette' - as a pale white person I agree and found that comment hilarious 😂 I've been wanting Glam but I absolutely hate the name thing so much I've been wondering if there's a way to hide the names! I wish ND had done a Pat MacGrath and not put names in the palettes. Easier to rearrange that way. Also I have been wondering how many beauty youtubers I like are autistic or neurodivergent - ADHD with definite ASD tendencies over here 😉
Haha I also wish she didn't have shade names on the palette, like Viseart too, makes it easy to rearrange since they are magnetic. I def think there is some neurodivergence in the beauty community but idk how many actually are.
@@QueerBones Yes - idk if it's just my weird brain but putting like a sparkly lid shade above a label like 'transition' or 'crease' hurts my soul. Not that I own a lot of palettes, but coincidentally none of them have shade labels, and to my eyes it just looks nicer. I know some people prefer them though.
Oh god I just got up to 'My Dream' which is the other palette I've been looking at, and as a wanted-kids-but-life-sucked person who can't deal with spelling errors... I now think it would be too triggering for me😂 Gorgeous colours though.
I’m surprised nude was ranked so high because it looks boring. But I actually bought it myself with the 20% off coupon at ULTA because I heard you and others speak so highly of it, and these days I like boring eyeshadow. The colors are ordinary but they are flattering on so many people.
@@QueerBones Thank you! I love different textures so I think I’ll like. There is a woman who I followed but she doesn’t post videos anymore, who used to always say she wanted ND to do a Nude palette. Maybe she heard her. I love soft glam. 🙂
Fun concept: ranking the palettes you DON’T have from Natasha Denona. Ranking scale: most to least likely to buy.
Oh I love that

Thank you!!
I think it’s the perfect palette for us olives
I think you did great ranking these!
Thanks!
❤❤❤I was hoping to see the biba palette.thats one of my favorite
Sadly I don’t own it
@@QueerBones I love it. The colours are so beautiful.
@@tanyadacosta9180 my friend Steven has it and loves it. It’s on my list to try and get during a sale but I have so many neutrals I don’t feel urgent
@@QueerBones oh OK I understand ❤️
👀 I'm catching up on your ranking videos today. I also love the creamy matte and cream-to-powder formula.
The cream to powder is so under rated
@QueerBones I know a few people who dislike those formulas. I don't know if it's technique or tool used or what. I've never had any problem applying them. Pack on and then blend the edges. So easy to use.
I think it’s a combo of both techniques and tools

Haha thank you!
Yeah I get anxious thinking about the shade names mixed up. If they didn’t do names I’d be better at it
Love Natasha Denona. Thank-you for this video. Btw, Jamila sent me. ☺️
Thanks for watching!!

I don’t think I have pat shadows that are similar but I’ll check

I appreciate people who can rearrange their palettes, having the shade names not match is too much for me
I’m a libra too I can relate, I feel if I had a larger ND palette I would rearrange it!
I only have the Midi-glam but I have the I Need a Nude on my Christmas wishlist so hopefully I receive it. lol. I also have my eye on the “my dream” palette maybe I’ll get that on the next Sephora Savings Event.

I’ve gotten a lot from Sephora. A bunch were 50% off. And I got some from her site on sale for BF etc

I still want xenon but not full price lol

It’s less about the colors and more about the collection of the and the textures/shimmers. It’s just a good basic everyday palette
I hope you like it!
