Baits do work but can take years and years to get control all while your house is being eaten. Termidor is a one and done treatment that lasts upwards of 15 years pending soil conditions. Never go with a company that does bait station inspections on a more than 2 month basis. With over 38 years in the business I would advise you to go with Termidor hands down.

@@jimfields9491 Thank you for your advice!
I completely agree with your perspective. Personally, I recommend liquid treatments like Termidor for long-term termite protection. It gives peace of mind, knowing that it will eliminate termites effectively. I often suggest liquid treatments to my friends and family. However, the company I work for only uses bait stations, not liquid treatments.
While I’m not against bait stations-I actually see the benefits of both methods-there are situations where baiting might be more appropriate. For example, customers who prefer not to inject large amounts of insecticide into the soil might find bait stations a better option. Additionally, in certain cases, liquid treatments may not be feasible.
Being a Professional in the industry, I believe having a variety of tools at our disposal allows for a more customized service based on the customer’s needs.
Regarding the inspections show in this video, I’m using an annual termite bait station. These stations are specifically designed to be checked once a year, and it says so right on the label. That said, it does appear there’s only one cartridge, which would technically make it a semi-annual station.

Just curious, if you are doing an annual inspection for a termite contract and there is no evidence of termites in the bait traps or around the outside of the house, do you still need to come inside the house for an inspection?

Great question thanks for asking. So it all depends on the job. If it’s the first time back roughly a year, from when I first came, I would like to come in the house and do an inspection, especially if there was termite activity on the initial visit. But if there was no real termite activity in the first place, and it was mostly just preventative there’s no reason for me to come inside and inspect, of course if the customer wants I will do a termite inspection on the interior, but it is probably not needed.

What if there is only cement surrounding home? How do you set up

Every situation is different, but generally, you can place bait stations at the edge of the cement line around your house. However, I personally recommend a liquid treatment, which involves drilling holes in the cement and injecting insecticide around the foundation. This method provides a more thorough treatment. Not all companies offer liquid treatments; some only use bait stations. To determine the best approach for your situation, consult with a few companies and get their opinions on what would work best for your house.

Yes, initially they will transfer it back to the colony, but after the colony eat it, they will start to die.

I hope they work out well for you. I would suggest getting Trelona bait stations if you can find them.
