I was listening to this at night with headphones on and for some reason the emotion in the harmonies just hit me directly in the heart and I started crying. My wife woke up concerned and I told her it was just crying because the music was so beautiful.

This is one of the best live performances I've seen/heard of VG music. The dynamics an phrasing of the whole ensemble are amazing. It even trumps the actual CD's of live Final Fantasy music I've heard.
@@abelstypewriters 100%. You can tell there's been some real arrangement effort put into this. As well as catering it perfectly to the orchestra type and size. This mid-range orchestra (compared to Distant Worlds scale) made for a performance style we absolutely needed :)

FF VII was an amazing piece of art. It had all of what we need... A good story, beautiful music,... Investing time and passion into this was one of the best experience of my life ❤️
The story is not the strong point. Half the plot and characters are unnecessary and only exist to pad things out. But the other half of each are amazing. The strong point is in the relevant characters and the tragedy in the middle of the game, which was to video games what The Night Gwen Stacy Died was to comics.
Tbh the original was so good for me when I was young i missed the remake. I'll wait till its all done and out on a deal, on pc. Also I play it on turn based combat like I remember.
I have never heard the Shinra Corp theme played at an orchestral event. It was always one of my favorite themes due to his heavy, foreboding oppression that perfectly reflected Shinra. I am honestly overjoyed to see this on UA-cam, and offer gratitude to the uploader and performers. *then Cosmo Canyon played and I nearly wept with joy*

I was there, in that crowd when that was filmed, and it was well worth the 35$ and 20min drive. Waiting for their full FF7 concert in November 2022 (delayed oh so many times due to covid).
@@garybodges3264 this is an orchestra based in Montreal, Canada, and about once, maybe twice a year they get a bus to go to Québec City to play there as well (and some other towns in the province). As this is a non-profit orchestra, most have a job, so it is quite unlikely for them to go to the UK. There are other orchestra or band of that style around the world, so I would suggest you search for one closer to you !
10:45 is in my opinion one of the best pieces of video game music. It always stirs up emotions for me. Partly because it reminds me of being a kid and how simple everything was back then. I wish I could go back. Especially to relive playing that game again for the first time again. Amazing job playing all the music though. It was really well done :)
If you close your eyes while listening, the cutscenes from the game and the movie just start playing in your head. I would have loved to watch them play live.

The principal cellist is amazing! She has beautiful sound and technique, which she expresses through her playing and she doesn't have static movements. I was highly impressed by the fact that there were only 2 cellos and the amount of sound they both made. Congratulations cellists and the amazing conductor, beautiful orchestra, and all the percussion were on point and I gotta talk about one of the flutes, the one that did the most solos is perfect too. The French horn, too was impressive from all. 👏👏👏- beginner cellist!
This is amazing, shinra HQ with that loud, heavy drumming overpowering everything else, then the trumpets actually made me tear up. Kozmo Canyon was also amazing, such a nostalgic song and so much effort put in to make it sound amazing by this orchestra.

I watched this many months ago and said “wow, a solo cello during the main theme is absolutely beautiful...” then the remake comes out and what do I hear? A GODDAM BEAUTIFUL SOLO CELLO IN THE MAIN THEME. It’s like the devs saw this and took note ;)
Also, the FF7 Remake Main Theme features a cello and piano duet in the beginning. I wonder if they saw this group and got inspired to go that direction :)

Late 2022 for me (I technically started FF VII on March of 2020 but only continued in late 2022).

あのリメイクは、原作をやったことのある人と初見の人では感じ方が違うと思うけど、どちらの立場でも楽しめるやろね。ん～…俺もゆーきゃんさんみたいに初見の立場でもプレイしてみたかった。こればっかりはどうしようもできない事なんやけどな。
例えば、レッド３が言葉を話すところとか初見の人からすると驚きがあったと思うけど、原作プレイ済みの立場だとそこの驚きはないんよな。そう言う感動を味わってみたかった。
でも、逆に原作プレイ済み勢は７番街スラムに入った時にティファのテーマが流れた瞬間に、「懐かしい場所」、「思い出の場所」、「故郷」に帰ってきたような不思議な気分にさせられるんよな。こう言う想いは初見さんにはないよな。
だから、立場で全然感じ方が違うけど「感動」は共感できるよな。
初見の人ってリメイクをプレイしてどう感じたんやろ？音楽の事とかキャラとか…
あと、ティファ派、エアリス派、ジェシー派どこに惚れたのか？とかw
リメイクに今年のGOTYをとってもらいたいけど、今年は強敵揃いやからどうなることやら。
