This was a great learning video, thank you. I was almost bamboozled recently by a local dealership who said my axle boots were dry-rotted and both axles needed replacing at a cost of $2000. After watching your video I crawled under my car and found the boots to be in good condition. Also got a second opinion from a reputable auto shop who confirmed my suspicions. Thanks again!
Don’t stick your fingers near or in the holes when taking the bolts out that he puts back in at 5:34 this is how I lost my pinky and spent the rest of the day in the hospital, on the road to recovery now
To anyone needing this done, I ordered my parts from Napa, as I do not trust online platforms… fairly cheap for both… 200 and some change… do not ores from Hyundai dealer they wanted 612 for one…
this is very straight forward axle replacement, may be you did it right, unless you got the wrong one if it is too small it will come out of the spline inside.
@@JM-AUTO I don’t mean the washer on the outside with the nut. Ive read where Hyundai uses a washer between the axleshaft and the back of the hub to prevent clunking
