The woman who Wolverine fights is actually a very important character in his lore, and one of his most famous enemies: Lady Deathstrike. For a bit of backstory, her father was the person who actually INVENTED the process by which adamantium can be bonded to bone. When her father was murdered, Lady Deathstrike mistakenly believed Wolverine was the one who killed him, so she vowed vengeance. In the film she also has her own adamantium skeleton and claws, but in the comics, she also has herself transformed into a cyborg as well. Don’t think I’ve seen anyone comment yet, but during the jet scene you mentioned Nightcrawler teleporting everyone to the ground. The problem is that he maintains his momentum, so unless he did it *perfectly*, he’d gather too much speed from the falling.
Like Nightcrawler said in the X-Men Evolution animated series: "Picture this: Bumpety. Bumpety. Bumpety. Bumpety. SPLAT! Too high up and way too fast!"
In the comics, not only is it true that Wanda Maximoff (Scarlet Witch) and Pietro Maximoff (Quicksilver) are the children of Magneto, but also Nightcrawler (Kurt Wagner) is the son of Mystique.
Correct me if I’m wrong but his father is the dude from X-men first class the red devil guy who could teleport him and mystique have a time together and I thought that was cool they were on the same team with magneto in first class considering they make nightcrawler who comes later in the newer movies where mystique is older and could be his mother
FUN FACT... Mystique is Nightcrawler's mother. It's a pretty big storyline in the comics. She is also Rogue's adoptive mother. Making Rogue and Nightcrawler brother and sister in a way.
They couldn’t give Colossus a big role in this film because the fights would be over instantly…Colossus has Class 100 strength (meaning that he could lift more than 100 tons). Similar to why Hulk and Thor (both class 100s) weren’t in CA Civil War.
I definitely consider X2 to be the movie that set the standard for MCU films. It really showed what you can do with a superhero movie. The recipe is very similar.
These X-Men films are a different continuity from the MCU. In these movies, yes, Wanda and Pietro are Magneto's kids. But in the MCU, they aren't. It's fairly comic accurate, since some writers have the twins be his kids, others have him adopt them, and the rest have them be entirely unrelated to him. Also, Nightcrawler is a teleporter. He travels instantly through an alternate dimension when he *bamfs* around (bamf is usually what the comics show when he teleports, so it kinda stuck), which is why there's a smell of brimstone in the air every time he does it. In some continuities, he and Rogue are Mystique's children. EDIT: The 'female Wolverine' he fought is Lady Deathstrike. In the comics, she absolutely loathes him and wants nothing more than to see him incredibly dead. At her hand and nobody else's. She's also usually a cyborg with a self-repairing body and Adamantium claws, not an actual mutant.
18:46 Originally in the comics the X-Men jet was a modified version of the real life SR71 spy plane. Instead of having seats for two people they gave it a crew cabin for multiple people. But over the years in story they began to add alien technology, VTOL capability etc.
Lol the guy in the wheelchair was the girl…he was putting images in professor x head so he seen a little girl. The girl wasn’t real lol and that wasn’t the girl that go through walls.
X2 was really a good sequel, really one of the best of the X-Men movies. I am glad they gave Storm more to do in this movie. I made no sense to have an academy award winning actress like Halle Berry in her prime at cut so much of her screen time in the first movie. UA-cam subtitles are hilarious. When the teleporter Kurt Wagner introduces himself at 8:00 it reads as "good fuckner".
Keep up the great work can’t wait for the rest of the X-Men series make sure you react to them all in release order and keep an eye for end credits/post credit scenes like in the MCU. They’re not as consistent in these movies, but that doesn’t mean they’re not there. They really started to pick up on the end credit scenes with the later half of the X-Men series so just keep that in mind and remember try not to spoil anything for movies to come
This version of the X-Men franchise went.. X-Men... then X2... and then, 'X3: X-Men United'... We go to 'X-Men: Wolverine Origins' which goes back to Logan's past; Deadpool makes his first appearance ... Then, 'The Wolverine'... which sees Logan after X3 in Japan and it sets the story to 'X-Men: Days of the Future past'... The early X-Men is depicted in the movie 'X-Men: First class'... Logan makes a return as the future collides w/ the past in 'X-Men: Days of the Future past'... Mystique (the blue shape-shifter) is portrayed by Jennifer Lawrence ('Hunger Games') ... Rebecca Romijn played Mystique in the 1st 3 X-Men movies. The early X-Men return in 'X-Men: Apocalypse' as they fight the world's first mutant... The last movie would be 'X-Men: Dark Phoenix' (It basically had the same storyline as 'X3'... so it flopped) Finally, the movie 'Logan' is set in a bleak future where Wolverine is dying from the poisoning of his Adamantium exoskeleton, the X-Men are gone, and mutants are no longer born.
1:42 As long as Nightcrawler can see where he is teleporting to or has been there before its a wrap. But when in control of himself Kurt is a very nice guy. A devout Catholic, a medic and a bit of a swashbuckling swordsman.

I think Lady deathstrike is cool I wish she had more dialogue and more action with other characters Kelly hu did a amazing job with the character I wish she didn't die because she was brainwashed the whole time by striker
IMO this is the best movie of the X-Men Movies. Just FYI It took me a minute to find this because of the title. Would be helpful if you change it to X-MEN 2 - gave us NONSTOP action!
The sad part about Lady Deathstrike's death is that you can see her eyes changed from a silvery color back to a dark color when she's being filled with the adamantite. She broke free of the mind control right as she began to die.
Fun fact: The idea of mutants, the X-men, and the Brotherhood (Magneto's side) was heavily inspired by the civil rights movement where Charles Xavier is inspired by Martin Luther King Jr. and Magneto being inspired by Malcolm X; hence the opposing views on the same issue, mutant (black people's) rights. As the series progresses, it will dive deeper into Magneto and Charles' relationship. And yes, Magneto is the father of Wanda and her brother. At least in the comics.
That poor mutant girl version of Wolverine was being controlled by Stryker like the other mutants when Wolverine killed her you see her eyes change colors so she becomes herself just seconds before she dies it’s horrible she had no control over what she was doing but she could see it happening…
In addition to Wanda and Pietro, Magneto also has another daughter from an affair: Lorna Dane, AKA Polaris. Also, Mystique is the mother to Rogue and Nightcrawler. Both Nightcrawler and Rogue are in this movie. The Mutant that can phase through walls is Kitty Pryde. She is extremely powerful but is downplayed in these movies. Stryker also created Wolverine, Deadpool, Sabretooth, and Lady Deathstrike.
Hopefully you guys enjoy first class but you still have 1 more to go before that one. X-men first class has more back story for the X-men and you'll love young professor X, he's a favorite actor in my opinion. Great reaction guys and awesome channel.
Remember there's the Wolverine origins movie in between those though. But it probably isn't totally necessary but usually most reaction channels give it a watch since Logan is a central character
Yes it’s true. Pietro and Wanda are Magneto’s kids. You said you watched WandaVision? Remember in the final episode when she was descending from the sky after battling Agatha? Didn’t Wanda remind you of Magneto? She has his presence. Oh…Mystique is Nightcrawler’s mother.
24:36 You two got me so confused! *Vince* rightly points out that the little girl is actually *Stryker's* son in the wheelchair. But then it seems as if *Shoshana* is disagreeing and agreeing at the same time. Sadly, too many pronouns being thrown about (he, she, his, etc.). 30:44 *Kurt:* _"But she's just a little girl."_ *Storm:* _"No, she's not."_ To be clear - the little girl was actually the guy in the wheelchair with the funky eyes (the similar eyes is one way you can tell). She was not a student from the school as *Vince* suggested (even though he earlier identified her properly as an illusion by *Stryker's* son). You guys got me all confused as to what each of you thinks. As you both were going back and forth about it they were showing you on the screen the reality vs the illusion. It is like *Vince* first identified the little girl correctly. But then *Shoshana* somehow manages to agree and disagree at the same time. 🥴 Y'all got me all messed up! 🤭😆
I think what probably confused you was the part where _Shoshana_ said that "she" was a "he." Meaning, _Shoshana_ thought it was an illusion of Stryker's son as a boy (just looking rather feminine).
Vince also wrongly called out the mental projection little girl as Kitty Pride which was a separate and unrelated character. I think Jason is projecting a little girl in the Charles's head cuz it makes him more pliable in his weakened state. I never blame people who have never read the comics for being confused by the X-Men. There's too many characters in a lot of information being thrown at you really quick. On top of that they're trying to do a reaction which can often distract them from visual or narrative cues that would clear up some of that confusion. Like most of the stuff with Jason's mental projection is all visually cued with like wipes across characters where it changes from Jason into the little girl and back again. Clearly indicates these are the same person.
In these movies, Colossus is played by one actor (American version) and a different actor (Russian version) in the Deadpool movies. But it's the same character. -OG
For my money, "X2" is one of the best comic book movies ever made. The sequence where Stryker attacks the school is a nutshell example of the entire film: the pacing, the escalating tension, character-driven drama...it's all with recognizable hallmark craft you also find in classic action movies, yet nowhere in the majority of recent superhero movies. That it still holds up this well nearly 20 years later is also to say that, for me, it's even better than most MCU movies.
idk if some people explained already so I’ll make quick Storm is a goddess level mutant- controlling molecules lighting environment she’s just HIGH level. Mystique was recently confirmed as a an omega level mutant now that she’s able to recreate mutant’s power or any metahumains- 🫠 she can shapeshift to texture, animals, cells she’s capable of anything basically and ofc she’s an extra trained fighter
Oh yeah in the comics the X-Men characters have relationships with characters from the greater Marvel Universe. From Storm having a relationship with Black Panther at a young age and later married Black Panther. To Wolverine fighting alongside Captain America a few times in World War 2 and of course Wolverine being one of the members of the New Avengers. And of course Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver having a connection with Magneto. This has been retconned over the years so as of now Magneto was not the father of Wanda or Pietro Maximoff but is seen as a father figure to them. It's a complex history but naturally these movies could go in any direction from the comics so who knows if Magneto is their father or not. You'll find a bunch of connections between the X-Men and other Marvel characters beyond the group, for legal reasons it couldn't be showcased in these films. Did hear plans of Wolverine having a cameo in Spider-Man 1 or 2 with Tobey Maguire to Wolverine making a cameo in Captain America: The First Avenger. Nick Fury even has a deleted scene in Iron Man 1 where he mentions Mutants so they did try to connect Fox's X-Men with other films and then also the MCU when Iron Man came out.
Good reaction consider that the x-men saga(2000-2020),spider-man original trilogy (2002-2004-2007),fantastic four duology(2005-2007) and the amazing spider-man(2012-2014) are located in their own universes separate from the MCU
In the Marvel comics, Wanda (Scarlet Witch) and Pietro (Quicksilver) were revealed to be the twin children of Magneto... They were mutants who originally joined Magneto's Brotherhood of Mutants, but they left in disgust and both joined The Avengers... Later, they never knew who their father was, but discovered that their mom was Magneto's wife - when he revealed that he was a mutant, she left him while he was pregnant w/ twins. In the movie 'X-Men: Days of future past'... a young Pietro is introduced as Quicksilver.
A movie that would blow your guys tops off is “The Prestige” it has Hugh Jackman (Wolverine) and Christian Bale (Batman) as the main characters! One of the best movies ever made!
Lady Deathstrike is the woman who also had the adamantium like Wolverine. Nightcrawler is the blue guy that teleports. Pyro is the kid with the power to manipulate fire. Kitty Pryde(Shadowcat) is the little girl that passes through stuff. Yes, 'Colossus' is the metal guy who is also in the Deadpool movies. I didn’t notice it in your video, but you had no reaction to the image or shadow of the Phoenix at the very end of the movie… When Professor X was teaching the class and he pauses, and they ask him if he’s alright. I’m blind now, so I can't tell you EXACTLY when or what happened, but take a look at it again, you'll see a birdlike image flying over the water(if I remember correctly).
Originally in the comics, Wanda and Pietro were Magneto’s children, but since they sold the film rights of the X-Men and all of the mutants to Fox, Marvel had to change their origins for legal reasons, but eventually, Marvel changed the comics to match the MCU and made Wanda and Pietro not his children.
19:48 Storm is considered to be an Omega level mutant, and so is Scott(iceman). This means that they are so powerful that if they wanted to they could destroy the world with their abilities. Storm could create extreme weather events around the world all at once and Iceman could put the world into another ice age.
Scott Summers is Cyclops - Bobby Drake is Iceman. By the way, Iceman doesn't have that level of power, Storm is indeed much more powerful in the comics though.
I really enjoyed watching “X-Men 2” with you guys😆🔥. The story and plot was much better and improved than the first one as we got to know more about the characters such as Logan aka “Wolverine’s” backstory as we got glimpses and slight images of his backstory but wait till you guys watch “X-Men Origins: The Wolverine” where you’ll get to know more about Wolverine’s full backstory and it’s one of my favorite X-Men movies. Sad to see Jean die as she sacrificed herself to save the team. The next X-Men movie is called “X-Men First Class”. Loved your reaction/analysis, take care and have a good one❤️
That’s kind of a spoiler because the X-Men series alludes to that in later movies😅 I’m not blaming you for spoiling it because someone else already did but you probably didn’t need to confirm nor deny that
The xmen comics were created during the height of the American Civil rights movement. Don't be surprised if there are a ton of symbolisms. Like the beginning of the film. Magneto, as a holocaust survivor, sees identifying who is mutant and who is not as no different than how detention camps were started. Hell, as a trans person, those kinds of talks really frighten me cause we are currently going through our own stage of people that want us dead simply for existing.
13:50 This is the real actress who played Mystique in the original X-Men movies - Rebecca Romijin. She now stars on the Star Trek prequel Strange New Worlds as First Officer Una Chin-Riley. Like Mystique this character is more than meets the eye. Fun fact Patrick Stewart (Professor X) and Famke Janssen(Jane Grey) met on Star Trek: The Next Generation then came to the X-Men movies. Rebecca basically did the reverse was first in X-Men then went to Star Trek.
In comics, Roug did had too long contact with one character, it is Captain Marvel from Avengers! Because that contact Roug got next powers for permanently: super strength, flight and endurance permanently!
Yeah the big metal guy is Colossus. In this movies he‘s American, but in Deapool he‘s more comic accurate Russian.
its not even just that hes russian he is the spitting image of the comic version and its perfect.

"Picture this: Bumpety. Bumpety. Bumpety. Bumpety. SPLAT! Too high up and way too fast!"
@@darthken815thought of that exact moment, love that show
Can’t wait for you to do X3, and also the newer ones with the previous generation! They are all so good
I remember being deadly afraid of Nightcrawler when I was little 😭🤣
And he is so cute🥰
You guys are gonna love the idea of Jean and how crazy powerful she is
That little girl is an illusion projected by Striker's son to control Xavier's mind
In the comics, not only is it true that Wanda Maximoff (Scarlet Witch) and Pietro Maximoff (Quicksilver) are the children of Magneto, but also Nightcrawler (Kurt Wagner) is the son of Mystique.
Kind of jumping the gun on that comment...
Correct me if I’m wrong but his father is the dude from X-men first class the red devil guy who could teleport him and mystique have a time together and I thought that was cool they were on the same team with magneto in first class considering they make nightcrawler who comes later in the newer movies where mystique is older and could be his mother
@@maximillianosabennah he’s right bro it’s more of like the movies didn’t copy the comics but that is true
@@christiansolerti5640 - They're only on the second movie. This info shouldn't be on their radar.
@@maximillianosaben Which is why I specified *”In the comics.“*
Nightcrawler storming the White House is one of the best movie openings off all time, easily top 5
The last movie would be 'X-Men: Dark Phoenix' (It basically had the same storyline as 'X3'... so it flopped)
Finally, the movie 'Logan' is set in a bleak future where Wolverine is dying from the poisoning of his Adamantium exoskeleton, the X-Men are gone, and mutants are no longer born.
Masterpiece ever.
1:42 As long as Nightcrawler can see where he is teleporting to or has been there before its a wrap.
But when in control of himself Kurt is a very nice guy. A devout Catholic, a medic and a bit of a swashbuckling swordsman.
And y’all missed the cliffhanger but I did too as a kid 😂. It was in the water.
- They didn’t give us a cliffhanger
- guess they didn’t notice that shadow in the water at the end 😏
The next Film is X-Men The last stand and I honestly cannot wait to watch Y’all’s reaction Keep up the good work I absolutely love y’all’s reaction videos honestly my favorite channel
The twins from The Age of Ultron are Magneto’s children from the Comics
Nightcrawler is my favorite X-men. Teleportation is one of my favorite powers.
I think Lady deathstrike is cool I wish she had more dialogue and more action with other characters Kelly hu did a amazing job with the character I wish she didn't die because she was brainwashed the whole time by striker
Agreed on that! Deathstrike was such a frightening and intelligent villain in the Wolverine comics.
i CANNOT WAIT for your reaction to X-Men: First Class. It's my absolute favourite
Mine too😊
Hit after hit. You guys have been consistent with reactions to great movies ever since I started watching.
They just gonna get better trust love y’all videos
X-Men 2 Team movies
1- Cyclop
2- Wolverine
3- Jean Grey
4- Storm
5- Professor X
6- Malicia/ Rogue
7- Bobby / Iceman
8- John/ Pyro
9- Peter/ Colossus
10- Diablo / NightCrawler
11- Magneto
12- Mystic
IMO this is the best movie of the X-Men Movies. Just FYI It took me a minute to find this because of the title. Would be helpful if you change it to X-MEN 2 - gave us NONSTOP action!
Nightcrawler is my favorite. His power is instant Teleportation.
The sad part about Lady Deathstrike's death is that you can see her eyes changed from a silvery color back to a dark color when she's being filled with the adamantite. She broke free of the mind control right as she began to die.
Yessss! can't wait for you to watch first class, days of future past and logan
The fire mutant is Pyro
That poor mutant girl version of Wolverine was being controlled by Stryker like the other mutants when Wolverine killed her you see her eyes change colors so she becomes herself just seconds before she dies it’s horrible she had no control over what she was doing but she could see it happening…
Whats funny is that rogue and nightcrawler are mystiques children in comics
In addition to Wanda and Pietro, Magneto also has another daughter from an affair: Lorna Dane, AKA Polaris. Also, Mystique is the mother to Rogue and Nightcrawler. Both Nightcrawler and Rogue are in this movie. The Mutant that can phase through walls is Kitty Pryde. She is extremely powerful but is downplayed in these movies. Stryker also created Wolverine, Deadpool, Sabretooth, and Lady Deathstrike.
15:50 "Never trust a beautiful woman, especially one who's interested in you"
Meanwhile Vince at Shoshanna:👀👀
The blue woman is the blue boy’s mother in Marvel Comics
Hopefully you guys enjoy first class but you still have 1 more to go before that one. X-men first class has more back story for the X-men and you'll love young professor X, he's a favorite actor in my opinion. Great reaction guys and awesome channel.
Remember there's the Wolverine origins movie in between those though. But it probably isn't totally necessary but usually most reaction channels give it a watch since Logan is a central character
My mom took us to see this in the theater. So much fun
The reason magneto wears a helmet is because Dr X can't control his mind if he has it on!
That is a boy. Stryker's son, Jason. And he's a mutant. 1 Blue (left or right) and 1 Green (right or left).
That mutant is a teleporter and it's name is Kurt Wagner aka Nightcrawler
Yes it’s true. Pietro and Wanda are Magneto’s kids. You said you watched WandaVision? Remember in the final episode when she was descending from the sky after battling Agatha? Didn’t Wanda remind you of Magneto? She has his presence. Oh…Mystique is Nightcrawler’s mother.
I’m so glad y’all reacted to this, please watch the rest of the series! Can y’all watch “reel steal” Hugh jackman movie
Real steel* sorry
They gave a little cliff hanger… you can see the shape of something under the water right at the end ( a mythical bird😆)
30:44 *Kurt:* _"But she's just a little girl."_
*Storm:* _"No, she's not."_
To be clear - the little girl was actually the guy in the wheelchair with the funky eyes (the similar eyes is one way you can tell).
To be fair, they're both incredibly simple minded. so god only knows what each were thinking or attempting to communicate.
William Stryker’s son is Jason Stryker played by Michael Reid MacKay. The young Jason or illusion that Jason sets for Professor X is a girl actress.

Yes. It is true. In the old X men cartoons Wanda and pietro maximoff are magnetos kids. I believe in the comics too
Yes , wonda and quick silver is magnetos children
In these movies, Colossus is played by one actor (American version) and a different actor (Russian version) in the Deadpool movies. But it's the same character. -OG
I just noticed that Bucky “Winter Soldier” is one of the kids at the museum. At the part at the beginning when Xavier freezes everyone. Lol
It’s not in his IMDB but I would swear it is him.
That little girl is the guy in the wheel chair foo
Yes they are his kids canonically. Simple google search
Can’t wait for a reaction to Logan.
To this day this is one of the best movies ever made that was based on comic book characters
According to the X-men/Star Trek crossover novel,Night crawler can travel through subspace.
idk if some people explained already so I’ll make quick Storm is a goddess level mutant- controlling molecules lighting environment she’s just HIGH level.
The New Avengers: 👨🏼🍳😙👌🏼
Like High Jackman, this film has aged very well.
When X-Men 2 came out on VHS I literally prayed to the moon for weeks, so I could become Nightcrawler (the vanishing dude from the intro) 😜
Pietro and Wanda are in fact offspring of Magneto, though it's unclear (at least to my knowledge) if he knows it or not.
Yes, Magentos' children are Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch
Jean was unstable with her mutation. She knew she had limits but sacrifice herself to save the members 💖
X-Men: The Last Stand is next in the original trilogy, definitely worth the watch and can’t wait for your reaction
Thanks!
Now you need to watch part 3 soon, your mind will blow up
This version of mystique was so good
My favourite female character of all marvel movies
That thumbnail is EPIC
The blue guy is Nightcrawler and the fire boy is Pyro. Bobby is Iceman

Favorite superhero movie. I prefer Xmen franchise over the MCU
It’s true Quicksilver and Wanda are the children of magneto
I love the X-men films and this is one of the best imo.
Days of Past is the absolute goat though
In comics, Roug did had too long contact with one character, it is Captain Marvel from Avengers!
Because that contact Roug got next powers for permanently: super strength, flight and endurance permanently!
