      Thanks Greg! It is very noticeable after you hear both the stock and upgrades the second time

    Much fuller sound with the RF speakers. I never used to look forward to changing out my stereo systems in my cars when I was younger. Something would always go wrong. Now I just keep the factory units in unless I blow a speaker or tweeter of coarse!🤣
    Great job on this video my friend! Definitely something a bit different than the norm!👍🏻👊🏼😎

      Thanks Robby! I'don't care about the sound really much anymore either but this was such a straight forward upgrade with no wire cutting that I decided to give it a go. It sounds much better especially after listening to it for a while today I can really notice better range in the sound

    Sounds much better Ryan, i done a few stereo installs in my cars back in the day, i actually kept my 10" Rockford Fosgate Sub from my previous car i sold and installed it in the rear parcel shelf on my V8 Soarer coupe. RF make some good stereo gear

      Agreed Dave and this was a simple upgrade. The most difficult part was pulling off the door panels. This only cost $150 for 4 speakers. I used to have RF subs in my Probe GT.

    I have the same speakers you have to break off the front brackets for the speaker to sit flush.

      That's good to know. I got them to work but it sucked that they didn't fit perfectly. Thanks for watching!

      Great video but the speaker mounts on top of the bracket. So you have to trim the tabs on the inside of the speaker ring. The tabs are resting on the foam of the speaker and it'll wear a hole in the foam after time.@@RDsRCReviews

    Thanks for the tips! I'm curious- whats the max wattage of speakers we can put in the front and rear? No way I'm changing the front tweeters, but curious about how loud I could make it. Thanks ! KIA K5, 2021, std audio.

    • @RDsRCReviews
      @RDsRCReviews  2 місяці тому

      @@djmat001 I don't think that really matters. 100w is more than enough. As long as they are not below the wattage output of the system then it should be fine.

    It does sound better but I am sure in person it is way better! I have been using Crutchfield for years for any car stereo products and I love the adapter make things so easy... usually! It is odd the speaker adapters were a little too small, seems like it worked out though.

    • @RDsRCReviews
      @RDsRCReviews  Рік тому +1

      Yeah it worked out fine but they were just not cut out as large as the speaker so one side of the speaker was sitting on the lip of the cutout which caused the mount to bend and warp when I attached it to the speaker and then to the door but in the end it worked fine.

  • @moralesn80
    @moralesn80 Рік тому +1

    The warp might be from you not cutting the inner tabs on the speaker adapter they sent you. It’s a universal adapter it’s hitting your outer rubber on your speaker those needed to be cut off.

    • @RDsRCReviews
      @RDsRCReviews  Рік тому

      Possibly but they should have mentioned that in the instructions

      I just ordered 2 pairs and during the ordering process there was a note about removing the inner tabs. @@RDsRCReviews

      Is it me or is the bracket mounting on top of the speaker vs behind it.

    I be getting speakers that DIMS are 2.75" mounting depth and that may be too deep. Do you know the depth for
    The speakers? Would it fit?

      @RDsRCReviews  8 місяців тому +1

      I have no clue. I don't remember but if you buy them from Crutchfield they will send you everything you need and they have techs that can help if there's an issue

    That Bracket you installed it incorrectly it goes under the speaker you just need to remove extra tabs and fits perfectly

    • @RDsRCReviews
      @RDsRCReviews  Рік тому +1

      You aren't the first to say that. They didn't provide any instructions. Regardless it still worked fine the way I mounted them but thanks for the input.

    Thanks for the video! I started my sound upgrade journey by installing one amp under the seat and kept the original speakers. Then I felt like the speakers needed replacing so I went ahead and did it. I have done a few more upgrades to it, but so far keeping it a budget system. But the improvement has been really good! Heres a quick overview of what I did Kia K5 sound upgrade.

      Cool, I'll check it out. I've noticed in the facebook and reddit groups that nearly everyone goes with the Infinity Reference speakers. I'm sure they are good but I can't imagine they are that much better than Rockford's and these RF are 3-way where as the Infinity's are only 2-way.

    • @SeviDad
      @SeviDad Рік тому +1

      @@RDsRCReviews I agree with you. 3 way probably sounds better than the 2way. Since my upgrade was budget oriented I went with Pioneer 3way in the front doors and Pyramid mid bass in the rears. However I might upgrade those in the future to better speakers like the RF

      @@SeviDad these Fosgates are pretty cheap though. They were $50 a pair on sale at Crutchfield a week before I bought them. I ended up paying $70 because I procrastinated and didn't buy them while they were on sale.
