Thanks for highlighting where the good food spots in the town are. I remember a few weeks ago, was watching a famous vlogger/actor who went filming there and almost yabbing the city saying there was no good restaurant there. I almost got offended by his portrayal but I just took it as lack of awareness sha.
Those pounding skills are free workouts right there. No need to join gym if you wan build upper body strength.
Thank you, The Challenge with places like Ogun state is you cant rely on google or driving around, you have to ask a local. Lagos has millions of great restaurants in comparison and it is easily accessible but some other places like this. It takes a bit of asking. I would have to agree there is not a ton of choices BUT there are some awesome options :)

I think they usually mix the white and black ( yam & cassava) flour together. The Amala looks so small. I would have to eat more than 20. The interior looks very bright, neat and well managed.
They mix it because elubo is expensive than lafun. Lafun is not that healthy I prefer Amala and I dont mix my elubo

That’s was ones the best buka in Abeokuta but it’s not a fast food.. But Halaga is still one of the best for me.

The internal environment of restaurant looks good, but more efficient to process the ingredients with electric machines
doesnt look bad. a bit disorganized with the ordering process though.
Bayo, Let me advice you in case of next time. It's an insult to eat the Brown Amala ( Elubo Isu) for your first time in Abeokuta (The Egba Land). The correct Amala to eat is the White Amala (Elubo Laafun).

Lafun is not the correct Amala please educate yourself there is nothing wrong in telling him that Lafun is well eating in Egba than Amala. Lafun is made from casava which is starch hope you understand the gist while Amala is made from fermented yam which is healthy to because the starch has been removed also it doesnt have starch like cassava. Bub is more healthy than Latin because fufu is made from fermented cassava but people dont know.

Bayo, if you go to Northern Nigeria (especially the Hausa states and such where they practice Almajeri), don't ever leave your food unattended. If you do that, I assure you even before you leave your table to wash your hands, the food would be gone.
