Sounds good but will sound so much better once you clean it(Dawn dish soap and warm water - that will help get rid of oils along with the dirt)! It was kind of suspenseful, waiting for the needle to hit that bird dropping... By the way, I hope you post all of the sides you can of the V discs!! // update: ok, I went into your channel and you know what you're doing , but really, it didn't deserve a cleaning first?
Actually, this was cleaned on my ultrasonic cleaner first before recording. This had been stored for so long unsleeved and rubbing against all other records, that the "dirt" and "oils" are actually permanently worn surfaces, including the "bird dropping" (not actually a bird dropping). You should have seen the bottom of my ultrasonic cleaner tank after I put three loads of these through. It's an unfortunate product of its time; records dragged from one location to another, treated as a disposable medium (which it was intended to be). I'm just lucky I got them in mostly playable condition. I don't play records that haven't been cleaned unless I'm doing a comparison. Check out my video on ultrasonic cleaning these. I've long since abandoned washing each one individually with dish soap. The results I've found with my over 5,000 78s speak for themselves. Cheers!
@@agarso I have long wanted a Sonic cleaner. I've looked at them over the years and watched technology get a little bit better. I might have one before I die, but right now I need to concentrate on my final career.
Very cool record!
Agreed!
