I love older lenses. My Helios 44M-4 in particular. Also experimenting with other old lenses from that era. They really cheap and fun to play with.

The thorium doping of the glass in some of the vintage lenses will give you a really "filmic" look on digital cameras. I use a lot of the old DKL mount Schneider-Kreuznach and Curtigon lenses from the 1950s. They give you a nice Kodachrome II look.

@braydenjohn_ I use them mostly for landscape and architectural. Sometimes for street and portrait work because the have depth of field scales.
