AFO gave his brother a quirk because that's how he went about controlling people. He gave people what they wanted and in return they would work for him. His brother couldn't be controlled so he thought giving him a quirk would work like it did for others.
I feel like y’all are going to enjoy Lady Nagant, since it answers a lot of questions about the more hidden world of my hero
MHA world building is great
Deku and All Might have similar behavior patterns as heroes (very self-sacrificial to keep others safe), so AFO using that to his advantage.
Fun fact both anya from spy family and lady nagant share the same VA
Fun fact about Endeavor's "Ignited Arrow" attack--it's the direct English translation of Touya's name. He's had a special move memorializing his "dead" son for who knows how long--at least since Kamino, but likely longer.

18:02 - *Mentioned from previous episodes:* AFO locked his brother (Yoichi) away because he didn't agree with what he was doing (AFO claimed he loved him as his only family left). Yoichi weakened physically. AFO then forced power with stockpiling quirk on Yoichi in order to make him submit to him as well as to make him more powerful since he was weak. AFO's "love" is twisted at best (more about manipulation/subjugation). Then we see this episode how it connects to 2nd OFA user finding Yoichi locked away.
Lady Nagant name comes from the Russian sniper rifle "Mosin-Nagant".
Also there was a mistranslation... it was "this is what you get for looking like that"

I think they look similar just for narrative parallel - Don't have to be related. We've seen these type of parallels before of characters that look similar, but not related.

Tasha with what you were saying at the end, correct me if i'm wrong but i dont think his older brother gave him the stock-piling quirk because he cared for him, i actually think it was out of spite. Because I remember the scene where they were having an argument over what all for one was doing and how wrong it was, wnd his little brother was like "I'm not jealous of your power at all, stealing quirks from people and tormenting them and everything. All i see is misery and suffering from what you doing, i'm glad i don't have a quirk to be part of all this nonsense" Then after hearing his brother say "oh i'm glad i'm quirkless", all for one was like bitch ima give you a quirk then to torment him even more. Which was obviously his miscalculation because this show has explained the genetic components of quirks multiple times. If you have a quirk, your siblings must have one as well

13:45 They use”black” and “dark” interchangeably in Japan. It’s wrong, but they don’t care. It’s frustrating, honestly.
"Kuro" is used meaning black more directly in Japanese. Like Kurogiri (black mist) or Kuroiro (literal black colored kid in class B). Though people have translated it as dark also for English.
Angelina Jolie inspired character from the movie wanted. Then she has air walk now, I have to see those other 2 quirks now. They will definitely play a role in Deku not getting killed in this fight. At least that's my thoughts on it, doesn't look like this will be another cake walk for Deku.

I want to see All for One's backstory and why he's the way he is. The background story we got with him and his brother doesn't show everything. Also, they never showed how society was before AFO was in control, or am I mistaken?
AFO's quirk itself likely contributes to his god complex. We got bits of his background already. He liked to read comic books as a kid with his brother and liked to see the villain on top, but didn't like to read to the end of the story of how the hero defeats the villain. As Yoichi (his brother) said (S5 ep 3), he didn't read to volume 3 to see how the hero wins. lol
They showed very brief bit of society at different times like with first baby glowing seen having quirk (S1 ep 1).

She’s not using Epoxy putty. He compared the way she molds her hair into bullets to Epoxy putty. It’s similar but not exactly that

Nope, that's incorrect (according to manga). They mean the woman. Not how she is dressed, but how she looks as mutant. The translation in anime is a bit off. Not about clothes, but how she looked as a person.
Wrong. The entire scene is about them discriminating against her bc of how she looks. And we later see more about this topic with mutant racism.

IMO Overhaul is a better villain than Shigaraki. Shigaraki is pretty much All for One. 1.5 at this point
Overhaul is just a shell of his former self. Shigaraki isn't AFO 2.0 or 1.5.

I agree with you but not for the same reasons. Overhaul was way better. Everybody was on Shigaraki's nuts I I had no idea why. Manga readers knew about the power up. Shigaraki was weak as hell before my villain academia. He showed me something I had but waiting to see at the end of last season. He actually did something outside of trying to get over on everybody. He showed some balls, especially fighting Gigantomachia He leveled up, show some type of inspiration and showed what motivates him. He is evil incarnate, his only motivation is to destroy. Im sure the evil shit is just the shell and its a deeper meaning to him just wanting to kill. Thats the part I won't like but I just know they will come with some he just wanted to be loved/saved. Then he'll fall right back behind Overhaul for me.
Actual it 2.0 cause I don’t know if you watch the movies but the. Second had nine who was a test experiment at the time the doctor wanted to see where he could improve at for shiggy procedure
