- While we were down in Nashville a few weeks ago, we had the pleasure of taking a private tour of the brand new Gibson Garage with Mark Agnesi! Now that the place has opened up to the public, we can share the footage from that tour with you all. It is an incredible space, with a ton of thought put into every detail. If you have the opportunity, definitely go check it out!
This visit was part of the trip revolving around the 1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard, "The Reverend". ( • The Reverend Leaves th... )
Mark did a great job with the place and you can tell he's really passionate about it. Glad to see it's a genuine endeavor on his part.
Whoa this needs more views. Amazing tour.
Hey Mark..great to see you...
That was awesome Trevor and Mark. Finally Gibson has good leadership in charge! This facility generates excitement and being able to custom pick your neck and other parts is really smart marketing.
Mark is so bad ass! You can actually see him walking around in there, too.
I keep seeing all these UA-cam videos on this place and every time it makes me want to plan a vacation to Nashville.
really great authentic video
i just recently went their and was obviously blown away!
Even this lifelong Fender fan and collector is happy to say that is a magnificent facility. Absolutely stunning. However, even the most ardent Gibson fan will have to admit that it's likely to never recoup a profit on what is clearly a capital cost of seven figures--and I'm not counting the vintage guitars inside, just the project, build, and maintenance cost. It's the kind of place which will draw the fans from far and wide, who will walk around in awe. And when the sales person says "And what will you like to buy today?" will reply "One t-shirt. Large".
idk why but this is hilarious lmaooo
This is the greatest crossover since Jimmy Neutron and Timmy Turner hung out 😂😂😂😂😂
Great video! The Gibson garage looks phenomenal, what a moment to cherish! Cheers
That hidden room is fucking psycho in the best way possible
Great video! Thanks for sharing!
A giant leap from “Guitar of the Day”.
My wife and I had been planning a US road trip pre COVID. Definitely swinging past the Garage at some future date when those plans are resurrected.
They should open this other cities as well. Great job Mark
There is one in London.
Another reason to visit Nashville👍🏻
Im just imagining the Oceans 11 team going over the plan to break into the vault XD
Holy shit! That's pretty damn cool!
Come on Mark! There's a lot of Lefties among guitar and bass players! With the the money Gibson has you could at least accommodate us Lefties! C'mon man! Hello from 🇨🇦
Had to pause this in the middle while I hyperventilated and emptied my drool bucket .
Mark Agnesi!
I’m a Gibson guy, however that Kramer George lynch guitar????classic!
If I ever win the lottery, I will get Mark to design my house!
they only need a Korina Explorer now :)
As sad as at it is, I am glad that there are cheaper alternatives for guitars out there. Things like this really are for musicians. Which is cool to look at, but will never be for the average hobbyists/working man
And?
An incredible facility that will have cost seven figures. They'll sell a lot of t-shirts.
Sad how sometimes Gibson "cares" and sometimes it doesn't. I think PRS has always cared. I hope they always do, long after Paul is gone.
very nice place.. gibson should own these 50s guitars to copy their historics from..
It’s so funny to hear how they describe the used guitar condition. I almost never hear “very good” from Mark and others. They just say “clean”. What does that even mean? I wanna hear them say “mint” or “near mint” or “fair”.
No jazz guitars?
OMG
The lefty comment hurt my soul...being an outcast southpaw jk.
Yep hurts doesn't it! Gibson leaves us Lefties out, sad,,,
I cant wait til we can all walk around without masks again. ....acoustic custom.....cool
just sucks that Gibson's CS is truly still crap - see the latest scandal re Murphy lab guitars!!
I'm a dribbling mess
man....
Hilarious how Gibson is trying so hard to brand itself as "garage"--- working class and all that street cred--' real working class. It's a full scale branding effort for overpriced guitars. They didn't buckle down to build better guitars; they just buckled down to try and re brand and sell the public a better story, a working class narrative.
another sad pauper, if complaints were money, you'd be rich!
@@jamesreeves4600 And then I could afford a bottom of the line Gibson. Which of course would need work
To be fair, that facility will sell an awful lot of t-shirts to the 98% of people who visit who are Mr and Mrs Average and will never be able to afford a brand new burst let alone one of the original 1959s which are worth so much because so few were made ... because in 1959 so few were interested in buying one.
Maybe Gibson is following the Ferrari model. Ferrari sell more key rings than cars.
Came here for cars...left with nothing.
What a waste of money
