- This video demonstrates how to properly align the sheave/pulley with the flywheel and set the proper V-belt tension. Even though a compressor is used for demonstration purposes, the same steps apply to pump mountings utilizing a V-belt drive.
Excellent video.
I was trying to explain this to a friend via text message and he was baffled..
Sharing it with him..
Exelente gracias por la información bien ilustrada
Nice video
Exlent sir
Good explanation
What world do you live on that you think this is good
I have a double belt on a fan connected to a motor. One belt is loose while the other is tight. I have tried to adjust the motor alignment but this hasn't helped. Could one belt be stretched ?
Hi great content, I have a question. Can a pulley system enable a diesel engine to achieve a greater RPM than its rating. For instance, I have a Detroit diesel model 6V-53N/T that is rated at 300 BHP @ 2800 RPM. That is being used to power a positive displacement blower (roots 616 dvj) . I am looking to maximize the output of the blower. The blowers maximum output speed is 3000 RPM @ 135 BHP. Can a pulley system assist in that extra 200 RPM needed to meet the 3000 RPM. ?
Yes you can harness more speed from the engine, for that you will have to use a slightly bigger pulley on the engine and a slightly smaller pulley on the blower, these pulleys must be identical and of the same make and manufacturer! The blower will rotate at a higher speed but will receive less power!
@@hassanfaheem7356 thank you so much for that information/ confirmation . Our current unit is V belt driven , I’m assuming that is termed “direct drive” . I’ve noticed a few blowers ran off a transfer case - can you help me understand the difference or pros and cons to either set up ?
what type of belt and size should i use?
Thanks 👍
