    Bom vídeo, dois reparos: na colocação da superfície primária verificar se a correia não está a obstruir a polia fixa na hora de dar o aperto com a chave dinométrica e antes de por a tampa meter a scooter a trabalhar para verificar se tudo está em ordem. Parabéns!

    • @EasyboostStrasbourg
      @EasyboostStrasbourg  4 роки тому

      Thank you for your comment. Expensive compared to what because there is no equivalent? The investment is profitable from the first use compared to the realization of this operation by a dealership.

      @@EasyboostStrasbourg Compared to not needing them at all and being able to do this job with regular tools. I understand they cost a lot to make when they are made especially for one bike, and have to sell for a lot for it to be worth it, but wow, I thought my torque wrench was going to be my most expensive hand tool. I've also got to invest in a female Torx set to get just a couple more bolts off. It's like Torx gave Kymco these bolts to make money selling their tools.
      So, in order for this to be worth it, I will have to have done this operation at least twice in the bike's life I think. I do about 6,500 miles a year.
      You say profitable from first use.... how long would a dealer take to do this? Do they not have specialty tools to do it in 13 minutes as you have?
      Thanks.

      @@ArcanePath360 I completely understand your point of view. We are the only ones to offer a specific tool for the Kymco AK 550. As you can see on the tutorial, the shape of the tool is complex in order to be able to block the variator without damaging it. As for the system for extracting the thrust spring, we are also the only one to offer such a system. If Kymco uses this type of Torx screw or variator design, it is a strategic choice to discourage users from dismantling the scooter. Fortunately, with our tools and this tutorial, disassembly is made easy. As we produce very small series, the price is forcibly higher than a torque wrench produced in large series.

      @@EasyboostStrasbourg Understood, and thanks for replying. I think I will buy this tool when I need it, having looked at the manual, the belt needs changing every 12,500 miles. I've done 5,000 since last May already so this will likely need doing much sooner than I thought, so is worth doing it myself with the tools rather than paying someone else and hoping that they actually do it. (the mechanics I've used previously cannot be trusted unfortunately).

    3:20 How the hell does the cover come off? I undid all the bolts exactly as shown, double checked but my cover just will not budge. Have they glued the thing? I even put strapping round the cover to get more leverage and it's as if all the bolts are still in place. The bike moved before the cover did. EDIT: Okay I levered it off and it popped but the gasket is ruined. It seems like someone put glue on it on both sides.

    Your torque settings aren't quite right. They are within range, but in the service book it says:
    Front CVT pulley: 75.0 to 91.3 nm
    Driven pulley: 81.0 to 99.0 nm
    I know I'm being a bit anal, but some cheapo torque wrenches have as much as a +- 4% margin of error, and even expensive ones need re-calibrating after a time.

      The thrust spring must me mounted with the Polini variator. It allows the belt to be held longer at the bottom of the variator. The CVT works like gears on a bicycle. To sum up, it gives you a better acceleration.
