Great presentation, for those who are learning and trying to understand Data Centers, it is a very good video with a very valuable information. Thank you so much Mr Shaaban.
A very good intro to Data Center Infrastructure Design, As an ICT/ELV engineer for building services design, this has given me a good insight into the critical infrastructure Design, Thanks Eng. Shaheer
Very precise presentation. One side note regarding slide in 38:30, if you are in DX we should call the cooling unit CRAC. If you are using central plant, we may want to call it CRAH.
Thank you Shaheer, this is a very informative presentation for the beginners like me. You clearly explain the design and operation logic. It helped me a lot to understand. Looking forward to more videos from you.
Great job Shaheer, I watched it all , I recently got my RCDD and was looking for such video for Data center , your video is so useful and simply identified... Well Done Hussam ELRawas , RCDD
Great informative presentation. Thank you very much Shaheer and the event organizers for putting this information in publications. I wish if you can share something about Fiberoptic infrastructure within the DC.
Thank you for a wonderful presentation. Not quite sure what they mean by recycle bin but if it refers to Industrial wastes (destroyed drives, equipments others), we should have a bin separate bin for that at the DC and we need to coordinate with Industrial Waste vendors/companies to pick these up and throw away to the specified location for recycling etc.
@@KnowledgeBase2020 we have a tier 2 uptime certification as we have only one location of gray space for mechanical and electrical panels. can we achieve a tier 3 uptime certification having another set on the same area? or we need to separate the redundancy of each mechanical and electrical rooms.
This was superb. I'm just curious, you stated that it's not necessary to have ups of more than 15mins because the cooling itself is run by utility and genset, however, I have once worked on a system with cooling storage (buffer tanks) that had pumps connected to ups and could go beyond 30mins.
Yes that is correct. those are cooled water tanks that act as standby cooling in case of power outage. However, the UPS is only to maintain the system power while the generator kickes in. The datacenter should have a disel generator that can provide power.
Kudos to you for your effort in this presentation, Mr. Shaheer! This really helped me to redesign my datacenter power and cooling project. Is there anyway we could get the slide used in the presentation? I would be great reference for the future projects.
Hello there, Hope you are doing good. I needed a suggestion. As a data center service vendor, I am trying to develop a risk management document to hand it to the client side before getting the final approval of a data center migration/relocation work order. I have streamlined 4 points for that risk management document : 1. Risk issues with equipment. 2. Risk issues with dismantling. 3. Risk issues with Installation. 4. Risk issues with the shifting process. Now I would really appreciate it if you could provide your expert advice on what else or how differently should I prepare a Risk Management Document that keeps both the parties in the proper place and win this relocation/migration contract for us.
Great presentation, for those who are learning and trying to understand Data Centers, it is a very good video with a very valuable information. Thank you so much Mr Shaaban.
