The rise of Chappell Roan is such a weird story that no one is talking about. It starts with Good Luck Babe which becomes a hit due to perfect timing and doesn't have a tiktok push at all. Then random songs from her album The Rise and Fall of a Midwestern Princess debut at the bottom of the charts and slowly climb up. So far 7 out of the 9 singles ( the ones that haven't being Kaleidoscope and California), two album cuts ( Super Graphic Ultra Modern Girl and After Midnight) and one non -album single ( Good Luck, Babe) have hit the spotify charts. Five have hit the billboard charts ( Good Luck Babe, Red Wine Supernova, HOT TO GO, Pink Pony Club, and Casual). Two are in the bubb under ( My Kink is Karma ( #4) and Femininomenon ( #6)).
I mean I feel like it’s self explanatory considering she started getting more popular during pride month, people realized her queer messages in songs which brought more depth into her music
1999, a year I hear a lot consider good for music, and yeah I agree. I mostly like the year because of the amount of variety that it has and the bad songs are more dumb and stupid than outright terrible, but there still were bad songs that didn't become hits. It's Not Right But It's Okay is good, Livin' La Vida Loca is great, Last Kiss cover is bad, Bills Bills Bills is alright and If You Had My Love is also good As for the week, quite a lot happened. I Had Some Help returned to number one, Not Like Us got a boost thanks to a performance, Chappell Roan is almost to the Top 10 and made the Top 40 again, Tommy Richman and Ariana Grande also make the Top 40 again with the latter thanks to a remix with two R&B veterans. As for the debuts, Peso Pluma gets three songs from his new album, Gracie Abrams gets two songs, Post Malone makes another country duet, Ella Langley and Jordan Adetunji make their first debuts, Charli XCX collabs with Lorde, Karol G, GloRilla and Mustard get new songs and we get returns from The Kid Laroi and Coldplay Next week we'll mostly likely get some minor albums and Shaboozey could get a shot at number one, looking forward to that
There will be a minor album bomb by Megan Thee Stallion and maybe a very small one by Camila Cabello., but probably nothing else big. no predicted debuts maybe debuts: Tobey - Eminem ft Big Sean and BabyTron. Tough - Quavo and Lana Del Ray ( These last two are definetly going to debut in two weeks, but were released at weird times so i'm not sure if they will debut on the next one). GIRLS - The Kid LAROI.
