In Declan's list of Twins relief pitchers, I would replace two of the bottom three with Chris Paddack and Louie Varland when each is healthy and ready, ASAP.
I’ve been asking for weeks about the innings wall on the young guys and that being the most egregious part of not finding some way to add depth at the deadline. We are legitimately at risk of not really having a game 3 starter.
Only 3 guys I trust are jax,Duran,alcala even after his blow up innings that was more on rooco leaving him in to long after he allowed a few runs you take him out . Hard to trust anyone else when they alow runs every other outing it seems like . In the playoffs we better pray our starters give up at least 6 innings overwise gonna get ugly if your forced to go to any of the okert or really any of the non elite relievers
It’s too bad Alcala had such a bad outing vs the Rangers as he’s been pretty solid this year. Agree with your list. I believe the post season roster is set at 26 with up to 13 pitchers. Who do you think will make the roster? (Assuming the Twins make the postseason 😬)
Thielbar wouldn't be on the playoff roster of a legitimate playoff team

Welll this isn’t a legit bullpen so he has to be involved. Guy has a career 3.35 ERA so shit on him all you want, based off how bad this bullpen is, he’s easily the most deserving lefty so that slots him in on one of these lists in my opinion 4th after the obvious 2 and shaky 3rd in alcala. And largely it’s been 1 of 2 bad years for Thielbar out of like 9 he’s had good years all but two give him a chance to turn it around ? Or else you have 3 in your bullpen total cuz everyone else sucks
Let's be honest, if the twins got an established starting pitcher during free agency last off season, the twins could have used Paddick and varland in the bullpen which means Mn could have signed a legitimate stopper. The whole complexion of the pitching staff would have been different, that's on Falvey.
The bullpen was built around unproven young men and injury prone players, its a sh*t show.

The team as is, if it wants to win needs to ask griffin and Duran to extend to 4 or 5 outs regularly. It’s just not deep enough and you cant expect those guys to go 2 innings often but asking them to get an extra out or two a couple times a week leading into more and more in the playoff is absolutely vital for this team to win.
These men have already had near 50 - 60 appearances this year, what your asking will blow out their arms.

Perhaps your right but like I said I’m asking for a little more here and there. The line between going for it all, and perseverance for the near and distant future, the twins have always leaned conservative. Maybe it’s time to give it a whirl. Clase for the Indians the last 3 years has regularly thrown 70 + games. No one is mentioning how he’s gonna blow his arm out? You have a decent point that’s just my counter
