What an awesome, detailed review. Thank you so much. About to purchase an XL after 12 years in a Mini Cooper (I like iconic/cult vehicles). Hubby owns a 79 twin cab Ute which is fully modded for camping and 4WDing so should make an interesting family lol.
Below the windscreen pillar there is a removable part of the body for a slimline factory fitted snorkel if you dnt want to drill a hole into your Jimnys body for an aftermarket snorkel. Hope your mom enjoys her jimny. I've just done my honeymoon trip 4000km to Cape Town. Fully packed averaged 14km per litre. Not to bad. And boy did I need a Jimny some places we went. Best 4x4 out there. Have fun doing some mods 👍👍👍
Love from India 🇮🇳
Hi Mark, Has the car got the roof tapping issue? (Roof/metal expansion in the section above the drivers roof). Ours started tapping 1500kms in and is still tapping strong now at 8000kms. Love the car otherwise, Jungle Green is amazing. Best mod is the armrest that fits in the front cup holders.
For value for a true 4wd with a full chassis. Mahindra Scorpio. Same price you paid for the Suzuki XL, it’s also made in India like the 4 door Jimny. I have a sand coloured 4 door Jimny manual on order
Mahindra Scorpio is a much heavier vehicle. It's also much more complicated. Requires Adblue to run and has a lot of electronics which will leave you hanging when they fail. Someone took one across the Simpson Desert recently and had issues with a sensor on the rough roads. Without a support vehicle he'd have been stranded. I've crossed the Simpson 3x in the Jimny. Never a problem and over 200,000km's now. With the Jimny you're paying for high quality in a small and basic package.
The console is a bit annoying but should be easily fixed with an Amazon product solution. I’ll report back with what we go with. Thanks for watching and subscribing. I really appreciate it 👍
Hi there greetings from Australia 🇦🇺 i have ordered a new Jimmy 5 door pick up in weeks will let you know how it works good and bad so stay tuned for me opinion thanks John
No way! I will correct myself on that in a future video. I knew there had to be an easier way. Do yo find the rear camera a bit lower resolution that you’d expect?
@@NorthOz yeah it is a bit low but try change the settings and you mite find a happy medium. One thing I've been trying to do is upload a personal screensaver through USB stick. I've found lots of videos online but just not coming rite. The suzuki baleno has the same infotainment system and you can do it in that, just not working on the Jimny. But otherwise the information system is a big upgrade from previous 3 door.
The whine sound is from the transfer case. I own a Jimny 5 door too.
Good call! It’s pretty loud hey
@NorthOz yes it is

Haha I’m glad it helped. We have the jimmy, 79, FJ cruiser and prado so pretty random too haha

That’s awesome mate! That’s good thinking on Suzuki’s behalf. I’ll look into the snorkel 🙏

Great review mark
Another top video
Thanks Paul. I appreciate the support legend. I hope all is well down there 👍
@@NorthOz all is well thanks Mark.
Very cold but well lol
Good Review…I have the manual 5 door and I love it. I guess it handles better on the highway. Fuel economy it´s around 13 km/l. Not bad I think.
Nice 👍 Great little trucks that’s for sure. Appreciate you watching

Interesting video. The missing centre armrest would annoy me also. Still want one but probably in black.

Great video Mark, does it have rear air conditioning outlets ?
Hi mate, I just went out and checked. It does not
Love the car, as cute as the reviewer😁
Great video
How is your Mate Ginger Going ?
Thanks mate. Sadly she passed away a few months ago. We were very fortunate to have her in our lives for nearly 16 years
@@NorthOzSorry to hear that 😢

So you enjoy it?
After market engine bay struts are available already designed. No drilling holes needed.
Nice. They are always handy when working in the engine bay
Prob more of capable 4wd than people think, nice unit.
It’s a fun little machine. Very capable like you said 👍 Can’t wait to test it out on the tracks
TURBOOO!!!
💨🐌
How does it go at 110km on the motorway
Our highways only go 100km/hr up here around town areas but it goes surprisingly well!
The volume for infotainment. You dnt have to touch touch you can slide the bar up and down and also turn the beeping off in settings.

Nice lawn mower. Is it 4 stroke 😂
😂
Your 76 looks rather small.
😂
This or a similarly priced hilux? I think these are kinna pricey for what you get
Totally different vehicles. It's like apples vs oranges.
