@@henryjames3975I think it's the most interesting metal band, it's impressive what they can do with rhythm in song using all these techniques like pick scrape
The new "haunting/ghosty" approach is what made me love Gojira at first when I recently discovered them with the Magma album. I finally got something to make me proud of my country lmao Keep it up guys, amazing work!
it's definitely a simpler album, in a similar sense that Baroness' Purple album is as well. Magma and Purple are some of my favourite albums by each respective bands so that just goes to show that simplicity isn't always a bad thing. It has its place, and sometimes works better than more technical stuff. its not too much about the skill, but the sonic experience.
I found Baroness from my Spotify discover weekly. The purple album is beautiful but I'm not a good judge of character lol I save everything off my discover weekly and have thousands of bands. Gojira is one of my favs though
I wish they expanded on the meanings of the lyrics in "Pray". It was fascinating to hear about the musical technicalities within that song, but knowing more about the meaning behind the lyrics would have given some interesting insight.
They have trouble describing Shooting star... I do not. It desert rock. Look up "Asteroid" from Kyuss. All fucking amazing. One of the vest live shows I've ever seen.
I don't think Bleed always starts on the downstroke. Each time I play it that Herta alternates between the down and up :D and it's the same with the bass pedal.
Tristen Clark I actually prefer Magma the most from Gojira, but The Way of All Flesh is amazing too. As of right now I think The Art of Dying is the best song I’ve ever heard, and I’ve heard a ton of incredible songs.
@@XIntoxicationalX I did check it out. pretty damm good. A little repetitive but its fucking dank. I listen to it regularly now. I like Joe's vocals better because he has pitch to it, Meshuugah is legit though for sure.
I don't know if everyone appreciates the amount of skill it takes to play with such perfect timing, synchronization and consistency as Gojira.
I certainly do...
Their riffing is so simple yet so detailed which makes it difficult
youre not lying.. i just saw them live and its uncanny. my opinion: best metal band of all time.
@@henryjames3975 Music is very subjective but I 100% agree, One of my favorite bands of all time.

Pray's outro is the metalest thing ever
fuck yeah!
Djentjira
Their riffs seems so simple until you try to play them... Awesome stuff
Pray is absolutely amazing
Pray is my favorite track of Magma, the whole record is amazing
mine too
"Stranded" made me a fan. These guys have some serious talent.... the chunky guitar and technical off time thunderous drums.
Pray is so awesome! Love it! Lowlands also!

Pray is an absolute masterpiece. I would wish for everyone to appreciate this fact.
Don't worry, we do🔥🖤🔥🖤🔥
Great band, incredible live.
one of the best live shows I've ever seen
bakedspade saw them at I show that I went to just for opeth and was absolutely blown away. So much energy.
Shooting Star, Pray and Low Lands Blow me away
The breakdown in Pray reminds me of when I first discovered the breakdown in One. That got me hooked on Metallica and Pray got me hooked on Gojira.
2:15 brothers are even in sync when saying words

and as you age you want to have some songs you can actually play without pulling a hammy...haha

joe is just slightly kinda looking like serj from SOAD here
Silvera always sounded a bit SOAD to me
@@Alexanderthegreatdrummer ahaha, Shooting Star main riff sounds like a heavier version of Spiders intro
@@Alexanderthegreatdrummer check out over the flows by gojira
Gojira destroyed S.O.A.D lives for me. Can't watch a live of them without thinking this is shit now ^^'
great band, have enjoyed exploring their music
i just heard them for the first time at the Metallica concert in Pasadena didn't know about them, they are amazing
Omar Blancas holy shit saaaaaaame

so funny guys, when they mime the drums & guitars. We are French! haha! Rock on

The heaviest thing in the universe is what made me fan it was simply the heaviest thing I have ever heard and I loved it

Pray intro reminds me of Wang Chung,,, To live and die in LA soundtrack
oh shit I was playing pray wrong...
wow zero dislike
Magma was good but the way of all flesh album was a masterpiece, thank me later.

Meshuggah - Bleed? Any metal fan who doesn't know this song is not a real metal fan :D
i dont. and im probably 20 years older than you.
A 50 year old metal fan? Sounds interesting ;) :) Well, if you don't know that song, better get to work! It's one hell of a ride :)
