Trip Report: Vietnam Airlines Economy Class - Hong Kong to Hanoi

- Hey guys! I'm back after a really long nap and feel refreshed! Over the Chinese New Year holidays, I traveled to Hanoi with my family for a short break. We decided to take Vietnam airlines as it best suited our schedule and I wanted to take a new airline. I found that the Vietnam Airlines A321 product is very well suited for regional travel. With spacious legroom, comfortable seats and a generous amount of recline, I never felt uncomfortable during this flight. The food that they served was not too bad either. While it was not amazing, it was definitely better than some other Asian carriers I have flown. I really liked the chocolate that was handed out before take-off. It was a nice touch which not many airlines still do. The crew on this flight were incredible. They were friendly, welcoming and made sure every passenger was comfortable. The only downside of the product is the lack of IFE. Vietnam Airlines operates the A321 on longer routes as well, such as Ho Chi Minh to Shanghai or Taipei. These flights are a lot longer than the one I flew on and having a lack of IFE would make a very boring experience for the passengers. Finally, the cabin itself was quite clean and well maintained, making my flight with Vietnam Airlines a lot more comfortable. Would I recommend the short haul product of Vietnam Airlines to a traveler? Definitely!

yup only lunar new year ( or tet in vietnamese ) that they gift out chocolate or something + how what your trip ? cause during Tet (LNY) everyone go back to they village/town/city and not much thing going on + i seen a350 on shang hai route , wonder if it only a350 or mix of a321/350 route
