Arturo saying "You know nothing about my family" is ironic considering how he's been treating J because of her famous parents, who are implied to not be good people
I imagine it went like this: Arei: *busts through door* “Look! I’m gonna be a better person now!” Killer: “Nuh uh, this is Danganronpa, you know what this means!”
Poor Eden has had it so unbelievably rough this chapter. She’s been verbally abused by Teruko the whole chapter, bullied by Arei and blamed for Min’s death, threatened by Arturo, outed as a lesbian to the entire cast, and finally made a meaningful friendship only to immediately have her friend die and then be framed for her death.
I was one of those people who is suspicious of her but damn she needs a break. Hopefully finger cross, she had Hu and Whit at the end. Or else that girl will break into pieces by the end of this killing game.
@AreiKisser she is being distrustful for a very good reason there is a mastermind among them, and one of them requested xander to kill teruko She is being very realistic here.
Me too! I'm excited for the next episode. If David has a Nagito moment where he snaps, my theory about him losing himself at the trial will be correct!
i thought arei's redemption arc was rushed but after this episode... the scene with arei and eden almost made me tear up. the way her friendship with eden got cut off just makes her death more tragic.
Didn't seem rushed to me. She actually had wanted to be a good person for long time, and considering she got motivated by the ultimate motivational speecher it's not that weird that she had a 180°
Veronica saying, "You're really entertaining. So I'll take your side. I don't care about morals. I don't care about whether people get hurt or whether they die. I just need to be entertained. If you become more and more irredeemable, then I'll only love you more~ I want to hear about all those terrible things you did with no justification," says something about her character. EDIT: Also I just realized that literaly no one cared about what she said like...
That's in line with how she's always been depicted, however no one gave a shit... a lot of those moments in the 1st trial too, that cast just does not care about people losing their marbles!!
Yeah, I'm assuming that's the case. Because how would he have actually been able to find out the truth? And why would he suddenly just say this now and not sooner in the trial? Ace trying to pull a Veronika makes the most sense. The question is if it's actually going to work or if he will fail miserably in the first few minutes of the episode
Arei became my favorite character due to her design and personality. But this video confirmed it. She went from being an asshole brat, to sort of asshole friend by stopping Arturo from almost killing Eden.
@No, that's wrong. I think its because it reminds me so much of Togami and Fukawa's relationship, kinda? Where you have a jerkish guy pestered by a rather creepy girl, but in this case her love is based on the guy's flaws and how terrible he can be, instead of picturing hi mas perfect. Plus, weirdl enough, I do get the sense that, while annoyed and frustrated, there is a slight part of Arturo that at least does wanna tolerate/like Veronika....but tha'ts just me XD
Bro the moment were Charles said something unsympathetic and when Whit was like "Hey, let's not do that rn", Charles immediately blushed and was like "Okay sorry". They're so cute. I know Charles gets flustered easily but he already blushed like three times during this trial alone whenever Whit said something to him, omg
Pepople really are convinced it's David but I still think it's Hu. Does nobody really seem sus that the forged note conveniently gave her alibi? She was the first one to mention the fish were from relaxation room and she was the one who wanted to go over alibis - doesn't it all points out that she wants everybody to think the murder happen when she was with Eden? Like this murder was premaditated and calculated so ofc the killer would want to cross themselfs from the suspects. I suspect that " you're the killer and you held no remorse " secret is about her.
maybe the murder happened at a different time? the killer could have used the jugs that were found in the trash to store the water and just dump it over areis body to make people think the murder happened before nighttime
I have my hunch that she is the manipulator but otherwise I agree 100%. She's been dictating a lot of things regarding this case and possibly the Ace one too because it's very likely she got Nico to kill for her in order to have a chance to hide her secret and live in their stead. Her secret quote even mentions "I want to pay for what I've done but I still want to live" so it could very well be a part of that.
SPOILERS FOR THIS EPISODE: David was being VERY suspicious during the trial. He absolutely knows something the others do not know, and he's good at hiding that. Now imma go full therapist mode on why he's probably acting like this: SPOILERS FOR CHAPTER 1&2: Now, we all know about David's "secret" right? Him having a family history of depression? Since he is the Ultimate Inspirational Speaker, being someone with that role can be very stressful for some because of only focusing on others instead of only thinking about yourself. As a person going through depression, I can see right through David's behavior. He's gone through thinking about others and changing their lives for so long, he forgot about himself and his well-being. He actually suffers from depression, in fact, he's been depressed before the killing game. And this makes his personality because depression creates a type of behavior that can create bad habits like laziness, lashing out, and the dislike of others being around you. Being depressed can also mean hiding a lot of things, David himself is a very secretive person and I believe that when Ace reveals his actual secret in the next episode, the emotions that he had hidden for possibly years as an inspirational speaker will flow out and he will go crazy, and this will show the person that is the real David Chiem, a person that has been people's guide for years and changed their lives for the greater good. Okay I'm done now. Honestly I'm so excited for next episode, and I hope my comment of David will come true.
I wouldn't take David's "secret" at face value. He could have come up with it to look brave for revealing it publicly and to attract pity. I believe his secret really is "You manipulate others" which fits perfectly within this narrative. Not only that but I think he advised everyone to share secrets so people would try to kill each other, like what happened with Eden & Arturo, that way David's secret wouldn't come to light.
@@RodExe true, but compared to the alternative, id enjoy David as this morally grey character that leaves the viewer to decide on where he lies on a moral standpoint (similar to Teruko), rather than a "he evil and manipulator" type deal. It'd kinda suck out all the interesting things about him, yknow?
One of my favorite things about this fangan is that everyone just seems capable of killing, unlike some games where it just comes out of nowhere. These people aint afraid to cut a bitch if they have to.
SO WHAT WE LEARNED TODAY: AREDEN, CHARWIT AND VERTURO RIGHTS; DAVID IS A LIAR; HALF THE CAST IS LOSING IT; ACE IS APPARENTLY SOMEHOW HELPFUL anyways I'm going to make an areden edit because I'm sad about them
This has been a roller coaster of a trial. Spoilers Below for anyone reading Omg that Arei and Eden was so cute. Arei really could’ve had a redemption arc, I’m so sad she didn’t make it. But back to the trial at hand, I was not ready for Arturo’s secret to be THAT. Whatever happened in his past certainly left quite the scar for him to threaten Eden the way he did. David is acting super weird. His monologue made him look like he was an antagonist sprites and all. Then he switched it up to not being able to forgive Arei’s killer. So far David has lied about his secret and has been acting hypocritical about his own sharing secrets thing. Ace coming out of the blue and knowing David’s secret might change everything depending on what it is. All I know is the next part is gonna be ROUGH
With what other people said, I wanna guess his secret is the manipulation one, considering what his talent is and how it'd probably work (although I'd be very welcome to be proven very wrong next episode! I also feel there could be other ones that fit him)
@@aniahliepard I also believe that's the most fitting one. And the other person who could have it (Whitt because I think is a possibility someone accidentally received their own motive) has another one (not really confirmed and maybe he did a risky move to claim a secret, but it would be pretty ballsy considering someone else could have claimed it too. Maybe that's why he refuses to reveal whose motive he received and why he waited a bit before saying he realized his motive was the one Rose received. Still, I would have taken a bit too, so maybe I'm overthinking it lmao). Still, David is so suspicious that he could have almost any motive imo lol. The only one I feel could be discarded would be the one about poisoning the competition. And maybe the one about taking a talent to avoid harming themselves, because after this episode I'm almost convinced that one is Veronika's.
I’m glad we get to see Arei again… even if it’s just a flashback. Imagine if the creators were lying about this being a flash back since it’s coming out on April fools in some places and she’s actually alive. That’s definitely not me in denial 😇
Spoilers just in case. Arei deserved so much better, Ace knows David's secret, and so many red flags has been raised that episode. That episode was wild.
This episode had me screaming everytime i thought the accusations would stop like 5 more popped up Im really thinking its david though, someone last episode said he could have waited last to pin the secret he got on Xander and combining that with his weirdness this time... he knows something big
@@leannehetherington2164 It was REALLY suspicious how he waited until he was last to say it. It would also be a bit risky, since some people weren't saying anything either, but he did wait until his chances of fucking up were lower.
I REALLY have no idea who the killer is. I know many are pointing to David, but to me he seems too... important? To the plot as to die yet. I think he has a greater role to fulfill yet, but I might be wrong!
Well we know it's not Eden, Teruko or Whit, because they were the first ones to find the body. The alarm only goes off when three people other than the killer find the body.
@@Lesbianism_oui_oui_oui I forgot about that rule!! However, was it stated in some episode? I can't remember, and this fanganronpa might be different than canon
Spoilers That was an even worse cliffhanger than last episode, you're killing us drdtdev! I'm so shocked that the "sister killing herself" was Arturo's secret, definitely not expecting that one. I think David's secret is either the murder one or the hopeless child one, but I'm so glad people are finally calling him out on his bs. So Nico, Levi, Rose, David, and Ace are the people who are missing alibis and David and Ace were the people on the 2nd floor, very interesting... I'm super excited for the next episode, I'm looking forward to getting into the mechanics of how the murder was carried out!
I'm not even a fan of Arturo, but wow, the cast was too harsh on him because of his secret. Him leaving his sister could mean so many things, and it could've totally been out of his control. There's an actual murderer around them from before the game, and they automatically think he's the worst of them? Granted, the way he threatened Eden was bad, but Nico actually almost killed Ace, and Ace is the only one who dislikes them... Other than David, my main suspect, Hu is just suspicious, completely forgiving Nico while being antagonistic to Arturo, and where is her alibi? (Unless I just forgot)
About Arturo, given his hidden quote and what he implied in the interaction with Eden, I'm guessing he hates his sister for some unknown reason who was proabably relying on him a lot to even feel steady and because Arturo wanted to pursuit fantasizing over actresses instead of caring for her family member, she lost all hope and killed herself. If that's the case, then the cast has every right to jump on his ass with the way he's acted this chapter and even a bit of the last, but they don't know all of that yet so it is fair to assume on your end that it's too soon to truly attack him.
THATS WHAT IM SAYING!! Nico legit TRIED and FAILED after manipulating their friend to get the tools they needed. Not only did they get exempt from Immediate suspicion, but Hu still protects them like nothing happened.
Spoilers!! 25:32 It's very unlike Charles to avoid details AND change the subject like that, which gets me thinking... what _were_ they doing?? I have some theories: A) They finally found something in one of the computers, but don't want to share it in the middle of the trial B) They had something to do with the wall in the computer room, and are trying to hide it C) 🏳️🌈 At the very least, I'm glad both of them are off the hook! I was (and still am, kind of) suspicious of Whit, but it wouldn't make sense for Charles to cover for him, soooo
@@flammeazur1862 I'm hoping he does! If I remember correctly he's blushed a few times at things Whit said, and we know Whit is bi/pan, so it would be possible! ...However it'd probably end up on heartbreak since there's no way both of them are making it out alive but!!! Denial is not only a river in Egypt but also a state of mind!
@@Selkieki Im still in denial of the fact that one of them is probably going to die… But I think that Whit and Charles really have something going on knowing Whit is Bi and sometimes Charles is blushing when talking about whit
Honestly, not going to lie. I think Eden is so freaked out because Arei wrote the note herself. That's why we're getting a Flashback scene of Arei this episode. I could be wrong, but why would Rose think Arei committed suicide if the note was made by someone else? Why would all three of them constantly avoid the subject of the note. Dunno, seems kinda suspicious to me. It also just could've been the creators way of delaying the episode a little bit longer so we can have a cliffhanger. Either way, I'm very excited for this episode... but I'm also in fear for this episode.
My theory is that the culprit send this note to Arei and pretended to be Eden to get her out of her room. This would explain why Eden is so freaked out, because everyone will assume she's the culprit if they see the note. But if she doesn't show them the note, then everyone will be sus of her too. She's in a lose-lose situation. And it would also explain why Whit tried to change the topic. He read the note but probably doesn't think Eden is the killer, because his intuition told him that. So now he's trying to help her out
@@snakesareamazing Damn, that's a pretty good theory imo. Because why would Arei meet someone she knows is a murderer without regrets (unless it was someone she trusted enough, but her personality doesn't really fit with it. She could have changed a bit after she broke down with David... in that case, maybe she would be willing to hear him out on why did he commit murder, if that was his secret). So maybe Eden was someone she thought "nice enough to not kill her" (???) and it was actually the killer. There are wigs and extra clothes on this floor, so someone impersonating someone doesn't feel too weird.
Spoilers!!! Who would’ve have know one person almost died that day and another got threatened… (Also Arei’s : ‘Gotcha bitch’ made me crack up more than it should have)
@@elinasakura I mean... just because Teruko was reinforced twice doesn't mean that she's necessarily right. She's convinced that it's easy for Eden to rely on the others for protection against Arturo, but anyone in Eden's situation (save for people like Teruko and Levi who would've held up a knife to Arturo in return) would be scared. Who knows what "suffer" means? Also, Teruko, intentionally or not, may have told Eden to trust the others in that moment by sharing the letter. Honestly, when it comes to trust / distrust, I'm moreso on the side of Charles (or J if I had to say someone else).
David's secret is definitely that he's a killer. I mean, looking at how Arei was talking to him in that one scene, it only makes sense. However, I doubt it's him. is he being sus, yes. But too sus imo. Especially for a public speaker. If he was trying to get away with murder, then he would probably do a better job. However, his suspicion can't be ignored. After all, he was in the relaxation room, which is where the dead fish came from, one of the main time restrictions for the murder. Though at this point, I don't know who the killer is. So sorry, no theory this time.
With all the secret reveals and David continuing to be suspicious I’m going through the motives to see which one could possibly match up to our local motivational speaker Entirely confirmed: Ace, Nico, J, Arei, Arturo, Rose, and Charles Then the mostly confirmed Eden who’s questioning her sexuality Xander is believed to be the secret that wishes he joined his family when they died, this is due to his memories video where he recalls the events. Whit is theorized to have lost his mother, I’m holding this theory to a higher standard because Whit is the only person who has mentioned their mother with Teruko in the laundry room, no one else has mentioned, or more importantly “omitted” their mother’s existence Left to speculation Min, David, Hu, Veronika, Teruko, and Levi Okay now here’s where things get interesting The location of Min’s secret is entirely unknown due to 1 factor: Whit, who wants to protect the secret with the potential reasoning that there is no world where Min has managed this beyond the grave kill therefore there is no need to discuss it Mins secret is speculated to be the one about poisoning her competition due to her holding Xander’s secret and no one noting they got a dead students motive, potentially getting each other’s to make sure all secrets could be revealed. Veronika is speculated to have the secret relating to self harm, the girl is crazy and has an overwhelming hatred for the boring, if anyone is going to take drastic measures it’s probably be her Levi: after a lot of speculation, I’m landing on remorseless killer, admittedly this secret could belong to any of them, however the lack of remorse makes me believe it’s Levi due to his lack of grieving in episode 1 of chapter 2, and threatening to strangle Ace Finally just Hu, Teruko, and David Hu is one of the hardest to read characters, however I’m settling on the suicide attempts for her, Hu is the last thing from a stone cold killer, and her almost complete unwillingness to budge on revealing her secret would mean it’s largely personal, and it doesn’t get much more personal than that. David being a manipulator isn’t so much speculation so much as we know he’s manipulating certain situations to his advantage. Revealing his motive secret which as it turns out isn’t his real secret and could be entirely fabricated, Pressured Nico to reveal his secret telling him unless he was going to kill someone it would be revealed regardless, attempted to get Hu to reveal her secret which she flatly refused to do, not being afraid of seeming cowardly. David is a manipulator, it’s just a question of if he is THE manipulator Teruko: I believe she is a reason the killing game is happening, Xander mentions in his last scene alive that he needs to trust in himself that killing Teruko would solve whatever problem he was after, suspicious note to “kill Teruko Tawaki” could be a warning as opposed to an order, Teruko can not recognize her secret, yet knows about at least one other previous killing game due to her chat with Veronika in the playground, if anyone is the reason this killing game is happening(not the mastermind) it is going to be Teruko
I like that we are getting to know everyone’s secrets, cause that’s what I hate with the main and fan games, we don’t get to know secrets of the other students only the one that died and killed, and main character on occasion.
Idk what’s happening in the thumbnail but Arei looks PISSED If she’s entering the playground, this raises a lot of questions about who she WOULD actually meet up with She had to trust them, but not enough to wait until morning Secret reveal was that morning Which makes David somehow look EVEN worse I’m still wondering when the letter Charles gave Teruko containing a motive is about If it’s the culprit it’s be a bit anticlimactic, either way I think she has David’s secret.
@@sillycreepycrawly Oh my god you're right. They look exactly like the infirmary doors and the ones in the playground were "swung open" in episode 7 according to Teruko which you can't do with these. Do you think she could have been visiting the infirmary for something regarding Ace's condition?
Disregard the sliding by the way. I was mistaken about the door's design and the handles are not where they would be if the infirmary doors actually were sliding. Still shares the design of the infirmary doors though.
I'm finding Levi very suspicious and think he might be the murderer in Arei's motive. He said he was doing laundry and yet we still have that big starched ball of laundry that hasn't been connected to the crime yet. He doesn't have a clear alibi and he's already shown to be a bit unhinged. He's also the least clearly a suspect in this case. I think David is just too obvious and Ace as well. I doubt Rose did it either.
SPOILER Nico: Tries to kill Ace Hu: Leave them alone! They are just confused and were desperate! Arturo: Threatens Eden (I'll leave the sister out because we don't have enough information) Hu: You are a despicable person and I'm thinking lowly of you Hu over here playing favoritism
I’m not picking sides or anything but.. pretty sure Hu was like that because Ace has been nonstop bullying Nico the entire chapter (along with some parts of chapter one), while Eden only notified Arturo that she had his secret and he didn’t want his secret to get out. Though now that I think about it, it was kinda hypocritical for Hu to be mad at Arturo for not wanting others to know his secret meanwhile she refuses to share hers nor the secret of the person she got..
@@cyril6658 thats true! Ace and Eden, the two victims, are completely different people so the perspective obviously changed. I do wonder if Hu would protect Eden as well if she somehow turned the tables and hurt Arturo. Her not revealing her secret is interesting too. The few remaining ones are very different but maybe the one Min had (First on the list) is hers and she is now overly protective over others while immediately judging the ones with similar situations but who are actually responsible for it. OR she is the master manipulator and actually got into Nico's head a bit but I see that one with either David or Veronika
@@cyril6658 I understand that but it’s the fact Hu has not even mentioned it once, it’s like she’s intentionally trying to brush Nico’s attempted murder aside. You would think she’d at least say something like “how could you” or “did you really try to kill Ace” but nope, nothing.
@@jjjwhovian That's why I'm so sure that Hu was involved in that whole attempted murder thing. She's way too calm about all of it, and neither her nor Nico's behavior makes complete sense currently.
SPOILERS FOR LAST EPISODE (TW for mention of EDs as well) This doesn't really relate to the trial, but I adore Veronika as a character. Usually, characters who psychoanalyze people like she does are the 'therapist friend' who's supposed to be very kind, emotionally intelligent, and all they want is to help. But Veronika is the dark side to that archetype, because her goal isn't to help people, but to analyze them for her own entertainment (At least from what I can gather). It's like she views everyone as a character in her horror movies. This is most prominently on display when she gets Ace to accidentally confess to having an eating disorder. She doesn't treat it as a delicate topic but instead like she just figured out some fun little plot twist earlier than she was supposed to, like Ace was just another person to add to the statistics. She has this point of view where it's like everyone around her is her personal study project and it's just so interesting! I usually don't find characters with the 'can tell everything about someone upon first glance' trait to be very exciting, but I can't wait to see where her character goes! I'm so interested in her world view.
This is probably all wrong but if those doors are the infirmary doors then Levi is extremely suspicious. Back when Ace got attacked in episode 6 Levi suggested that he go get medical treatment, Ace refused and Levi said "Why do I even bother" and walked off somewhere (or maybe went into his dorm room idk). What if LEVI went out later to the infirmary to try and get Ace help (and also to try and make up with him), Arei comes rushing in wanting to confront him about the secret she got (this might cause some trauma to come back, like what Veronika mentioned last trial, (basically like Mondo in DR1) and Levi kills Arei?? He would also be strong enough to maybe knock Arei out and carry her (and maybe also drown her or break her neck?). Hu is also very suspicious but I'm pretty sure she just girlbossed up a plan with Nico to try and kill Ace, no big deal 🥱
I posted the same thing a few episodes ago. I thought it was Levi due to his strength(enough force to damage her neck), or Eden due to her suspiciousness at the time. After watching this episode, it seems my suspicions have been confirmed. I noticed he mentioned laundry, and there was a ball of Hu’s clothes near the crime scene. If the murder isn’t Levi, then Levi was heavily involved in it.
I know there's a lot of stuff going around but (spoilers) Can we just appreciate . . . . . . . . . . . . The fact that Whit, Hu and (kinda) Eden seem to be the only characters out of the cast who have not done or say anything insane?
Well I personally believe that hu has been acting insane ever since she defended Nico when they LITERALLY TRIED TO KILL ACE. I GET IT, NICO IS CUTE AND THEY LIKE ANIMALS AND THEYRE OH SO INNOCENT….but murder isn’t okay?? Ever?? Hu is way too cruel to Ace and way too nice to Nico
@@fireworksforme2 imo Hu prob defending them cause she believes Ace is the main factor to that event Nico wouldn't have attempted had Ace just left them alone, least what I think Hu thinks
@@fireworksforme2 i think hu is just more defensive over them than the others? not sure why specifically but she’s clearly the empath of the group and sympathized with nico a lot. u kinda gotta take into account that she would’ve been the first person they came out to as well
I'm still holding onto the theory that Eden and Arei had feelings for each other after they "made up", and that's why Eden believes she knows Arei personally.
JonahSunrise Honestly, I doubt that’s the case. Why would Eden have feelings for the girl who bullied her until she cried? Plus, with how she was acting in the changing room with Teruko, I don’t think she actually made up with Arei. I theorize she probably wasn’t ready to talk to her yet, but by the time she was, Arei had died, and she’s acting the way she is during the trial because she feels guilty for not making up with Arei before her death.
@@laurahawkins3130 no Arei felt guilty about making Eden cry after her breakdown in front of David, and went to Eden to apologize and they totally smooched and that's why Eden was so flustered in the changing room with teruko.
Um, sorry to say this but I don't personally like when people mix a canon storyline with a distorted version where it seems like mostly everybody has to like eachother... Like, um no? It's ok If you ship both of them or whatever you like, but *this is a complete different story of what you're telling* Not to mention I can't really find any sense to your reasoning to be honest, just me opinion, don't mean to offend anybody... Good day ❤
@@Amxni_666 lmao I’m not actually that serious about it. After all i said it’s only a theory, one that’s only based on a few moments of Eden’s odd behaviour that could be easily be explained by something else. I just like gay stuff, and would be excited if something like that would be true
Also how LONG is this trial going to be?? They still haven't even discussed the actual crime scene beyond the fish AND Nico's murder attempt of Ace the night before, which I think it's definitely relevant to the case.
SPOILER for this AND Danganronpa V3 When they revealed Arturo threatening Eden I was scared he'd be the killer but with an Alibi, I'm relieved. We need more characters who did terrible things but didn't become a blackened someone so they can stick around. They messed up with Kiyo in V3 but here we have another chance. Also: Veronika, you are a messed up *QUEEN*
It’s been heavily implied up until now, but in this episode Veronika outright states that she has no morals and just wants to be entertained. I’m not sure where they’re going with her character but I hope she doesn’t end up being a culprit in the future as that would be pretty predictable and boring. DRDT hasn’t been that so far, so I have high hopes.
one thing I especially don't want tho in terms of predictable and boring, is Veronika being the mastermind. She has so much mastermind red flags that it'd be so annoying and lame if she actually does end up being the mastermind. I hope she really is just a kooky mf and the mastermind is someone else who's like "well she's making the game fun"
So I did a little thought experiment about some remaining, unused evidence... (Spoilers) I thought a bit about the flickering light. Based on the shadows in the room and the lights shown in episode 2, it's the light in the back/center of the room, right above Arei. I had the idea that the punch in the wall from the computer lab is what damaged it, but they're on opposite sides of the hallway diagonally and would not connect. The only 1st floor room the playground connects to is the theater, and that's on the right side of the wall. Therefore, the light could not have been damaged from the 1st floor, and had to be damaged from inside the playground. But why is the light relevant? I think the rope was bundled with the clothes ball and thrown over the rafters, hitting the light in the process. By dropping Arei from THAT height, they'd ensure her neck would snap. This would also explain why the crank mechanism of the carousel was needed - you could argue it would be unnecessary to use all that just to get her a few feet off the ground. One issue I have is how the rope was cut. If you cut the rope before tying it up on top of the swingset, Arei drops to the ground. If you attempt to tie the rope to the swingset before cutting it, the rope would be taut and you couldn't tie it. The only way to do it is to cut the rope, pull Arei up with your own body weight, and then tie the rope. Alternatively, you could use a tool, such as a stepladder that Arei would be propped up on, but then you still have to haul her corpse onto it. Assuming raw strength was used for this part, this COULD be possible for someone strong like Levi (who is on the suspect list right now)....
J is becoming one of my favourites more and more with each episode. It was super satisfying to see her getting back at Arturo. I hope he can get development in the future, because right now he seems the least developed character for me. Also i doubt that Ace actually knows David's secret, maybe he is trying to guess his secret just like Veronica did to him or something like that.
Okk. Therory time. I think that Since this is a flashback scene, it will possibly show us who arei was meeting up with, either in the playground or somewhere. I’m 100% sure nico’s attempted murder plays a big part in this as well. Otherwise it just feels so…off track? So my proposal is that arei went into the infirmary to confront ace being bandaged up to scold him about treating nico badly. Because it’s the same type of thing she went through.
ok, so, i really dont like how they didn’t let arturo explain himself, i know he’s already a bad person, but i don’t think they should blame him for what happened with his sister without knowing the full story i think he might’ve grown up in a toxic/abusive household, and he left as soon as he was able to. for whatever reason, he didn’t/couldn’t take his sister with him, so she was left in that household. it ended up getting worse to the point she couldn’t handle it anymore, and you know what happened after. obviously i don’t know if this is true, it might not be.
From how he describe the situation, it seems that his house could have left him feeling extremely repressed since he wanted to pursue his own life, and he had to leave, making his sister kill herself.

Status: Missing from Rose (2-7). Lost the day after painting with Nico. J - Universal Remote - First seen by Teruko and Rose in 1-4. Status: Unknown. Does not work on MonoTV or traps. Veronica - Horror Collection - Revealed by Whit to class in 1-8. Status: Free for anyone to watch in the movie screening room. Teruko, Charles, and Whit know this for certain. Unclear if this is actually the "Horror Collection" that's her weapon. Arturo - Scalpel - Shown to Eden and Arei in 2-10 flashback. Status: Probably carried around on Arturo's person. Unclear if the scalpel in the flashback is actually the "Scalpel" that's his weapon. Eden - Wrench - Revealed by Whit to class in 1-8. Status: Unknown. Never officially seen. Ace - Riding Crop - Revealed by Whit to class in 1-8. Status: Unknown. Never officially seen. Nico - Laser Pointer - Revealed by Whit to class in 1-8. Status: Unknown. Never officially seen. Whit - Stationary - Revealed by Whit to class in 1-8. Status: Unknown. Never officially seen. Like many others, Whit is the only confirmation of this. He could technically be lying about any of it, but I'll take it at face value. Charles - Sealed Canister of Strychnine - Mentioned to Teruko by Charles in 1-1. Status: Unknown. Never officially seen. Never revealed by Whit in the class trial, so Teruko may be the only person who knows about it. Whit could also be purposely withholding the information. Edit: The list White presented in the class trial was almost certainly actually acquired from Charles, explaining why his weapon does not show up there, how the weapons were confirmed at all, and how the handwriting doesn't match with what we've heard about Whit. Levi - Brass Knuckles - Revealed by Whit to class in 1-8. Status: Unknown. Never officially seen. Teruko - Hunting Knife - Revealed by Whit to class in 1-8. Status: Currently on Teruko. Seen by J and Charles. Handwriting Status: 1-6: Min's shown on "Out of Order" sign. 1-6: Xander's shown on fake motive disk. 1-6: Unknown shown as "Kill Teruko Tawaki." 1-8: Likely Charles's shown on weapons list. (Whit's handwriting has hearts for dots, but I don't remember what episode that was specifically mentioned.) 2-9: Teruko's shown on motives list. 2-10: Eden's shown on handwriting sample. 2-10: Unknown shown as letter to Arei.
@@idkwhatt0call yeah, I mentioned that in another episode, but I didn't want to really write it here since I don't think they ever officially stated ace was attacked with a "wire"
I don't believe that the wrapping list was actually Whit's as he mentioned he got it from a friend and the i's weren't dotted with hearts as Charles said his handwriting includes. If I had to guess it's most likely Charles' since he disappeared for a while when investigating the dorms with Teruko immediately after talking about them and it's in cursive as Whit confirms is his writing, plus it would explain why his weapon is missing from the list.
@@adidoesstuff5999 That makes a lot of sense! I thought it was a little strange that Whit had gotten the information, so Charles have the opportunity when investigating fits perfectly. I was wondering how someone would have even gotten in the rooms, but they were unlocked at the time so that makes even more sense. I'll add that to my comment!
SPOILERS just gonna say this... and i mean with this love ... but i really think ace is not smart enough to do a murder like this. IM SORRY LMAOO. but if he were to commit a murder, i doubt he would ever take advantage of the letter arturo (supposedly?) wrote, frame it as a sewerslide, crush/injure arei's throat ALL WHILE HAVING HIS NECK INJURED AND WITHIN A DAY (he had to know of arei's promise somehow). yes he was on the second floor and he did have access to some of the items, but i just highly doubt ace can ever manage to get away with a murder like this. he seems more like a slap-dash spur-of-the-moment type than planned, and judging by how cleanly arei's bda was in terms of blood, it is unlikely ACE of all people could do such a thing. he might have had the opportunity with being on the second floor, and he does constantly call out nico, potentially as a cover, but he doesn't have any beef with arei or nor did have any interest in his motive being in someone else's hand. idkk who knowss
Honestly as much as I hate to say it, the killer is probably Levi. David, ace, niko, they all seem too obvious right off the bat to be the killer, and any one else I could’ve seen as being the killer has an alibi. Also, there still hasn’t really been any payoff to Levi mentioning his family at the start of the chapter, and it probably has to do with his secret. I’d much rather it be David as the killer since I like Levi much more than David, but tbh thst would be a somewhat disappointing mystery if David was the killer.
Spoilers This is crazy but hear me out. (Sorry for the essay) Okay I've been staring at that forged note for ages and it's REALLY bugging me. For starters, real convenient how the only parts still missing happen to be where a name/pronouns would go. Thing is, we now know the secret is Arturo's, and his name doesn't fit. At all. Which, sure, it maybe just used pronouns, that works for the second two sentences ('of his sister' and 'I think he might do something'), they fit with the spacing and small lines we can still make out. BUT the first one doesn't work. There's a weird gap between the 'That' and where the h of he would be, but maybe that's just my eyes. My main thing is that the little line we can make out at the top is a loop. Look at how h's are written in the rest of the note. If they're at the beginning of a word or after a t, they're written with a straight line. You can see this in 'death', on the left side of the first cut out, the 'think' in the second cut out, 'something', and 'than'. It's consistent. But when it's written after anything else, it's written with a loop instead (cursive script). You can see this in 'share', and can just barely make it out in the second cut out with 'might'. Based on this, I think the first cut out says 'she'. It fits with the font and the spacing. Given that the font was very consistent the rest of the note, it can't be 'he'. It fit's the second sentence still too if it was 'of her sister'. That leaves the third, where admittedly 'she' doesn't fit. But what if it was a name instead? It would have to be a short one so I compared the names to the font and spacing. It's admittedly iffy, but I think Hu, Levi, and MAYBE Whit (unlikely) could fit. Honestly, maybe this is all a bunch of nonsense, because I KNOW this isn't correct with what we know. We KNOW the secret is Arturo's, and we KNOW Eden received that secret, and we KNOW he threatened her. But that one tiny little detail in the font won't stop bothering me, because the rest is SO consistent. And also, the other thing we know is that the note was FORGED. It wasn't actually written by Eden. Thing is, even if the font didn't matter and it really was just 'That he was', 'of his sister', and 'I think he might do something', it just reads kind of weird to me. Why would 'Eden' specify what her secret was when Arei very much knew it already. They could have easily just cut that line completely and it would have sounded way less awkward. It's like they were trying to prove the note was written by Eden by saying stuff only her, Arei, and Arturo were supposed to know. And yet that was so easily debunked by her having an alibi, or hell, the handwriting even. Sure, maybe it was for Arei's sake but idk. It's just off to me. Which brought me back around to the main things the note brought to the discussion: Arturo (secret, threatening, anger against Arei, etc) and the time. The note cast a crazy amount of suspicion onto Arturo which was great for pinning the crime on him, but I want to focus on the time thing. We're basing the time of death off of this note, and the fish/relaxation room thing. Being blunt, I think the crime took place at night. I've seen people saying Arei was drowned, and that's why the fish are there, having fell off her body after, but I think that's wrong. A) water trail from the relaxation room to the playground, they would have to mop it up somehow and quickly before it was noticed (to debunk the old clothes being used to do this, maybe the starch being from the fish food or something, Arei would have the same starch traces in that case, at least in her hair) B) how would the culprit not notice the fish? they can't have been hiding in Arei's clothes or something, at least not all of them, and if the culprit noticed any fish stuck to her, the would probably check to be safe right, plus that's a lot of fish hidden in her clothes The culprit could grab the water before nighttime, or even just the fish honestly. Then plant them to make it seem like the crime took place before 10pm. The note further narrows it to between 7:30pm and 10pm. That's a lot easier to make a neat little alibi for and avoid suspicion. So alibi's. Eden, Hu, J, Arturo, Charles, Whit, Teruko, Veronica. I'll be perfectly honest, I've been suspicious of Hu for a while, not even necessarily for a reason, just because of the vibe. But I saw someone say her secret could be the manipulator one and it got me thinking. I know a lot of people think it's David's, but that just seems so obvious to me, especially for a secret kept secret for this long. We only have five people left at this point who haven't been revealed (I'm 90% sure that Xander and Min have each other's). Hu has sort of subtly manipulated things in the background, most notably with Nico I think (squints suspiciously at Hu's wire being used supposedly by Nico in the murder attempt on Ace). And look at who's the very first person given an alibi when the note in brought up? Hu. Specifically her bringing it up as a defence for Eden. Eden who needed said defence because of the note. The note that the culprit wrote that led to them narrowing down the time. See what I'm seeing here? I'm not saying it's concrete, hell it's anything but that, but still. And going all the way back to what I started with, her name could fit into the note. Yeah I know that makes no sense why she would write her name but it's just another thing where she pops up. Hu knew about the old clothes in the dress-up room too. She spent time in the relaxation room which we know is involved somehow at least minority. I'll admit the motive isn't all there either though. Honestly there's way too many suspicious people this trial for it to be easy. But the thing is, I don't really know where else her character is going to go. David has a million ways he could go, Veronica is only starting to show her true colours, Arturo has his secret and the aftermath of that, Ace and Nico both seem too intertwined at the moment for one of them to go out, Charles Whit and Eden are so far from suspicion for me right now that I think it would just be too out of left field, Levi I'm suspicious of too honestly, Rose has pretty much zero motive since her secret was out so fast and she had nothing to do with Arei, and J has stuff with her mom/family to sort out. I'm going to leave this here for now. I've been rambling honestly and I could go on for hours. My main point was the note being really suspicious to me. It might just be me WAY overthinking it though. Please let me know if you can figure something out or think this makes sense because it's driving me up a wall.
Rewatching part one of the second trial and realized that Hu cuts off Nico specifically when they're about mention that the fish meant the water was from the relaxation room. Sure she says the info herself but this is during the discussion about narrowing down the time of death which just made me raise an eyebrow given everything I mentioned above. It's 'not like her' to cut Nico off like that (she does tend to speak for them a lot, whether they ask her to or not, but she's not usually so obvious and harsh about it). Almost gave me the vibe of her being a bit nervous and jumping to get the info out there so people would be sure to ignore the possibility of the crime happening at night. Also maybe so Nico wouldn't happen to mention something she didn't want others to know.
TY FOR WRITING THIS. it was an interesting read but also I was getting worried that I was the only person suspicious of Hu. I’ve gotta admit I don’t like her at all and everything she does now is suspicious- I’ve been pretty sure for a while now that her secret is the one about manipulation
This actually would explain a lot. I think the water from the relaxation room was used to clear some evidence like pools of blood. Or it's a red herring. I'm thinking about what Veronika said in the trial. She wants entertainment. That'd be very unlikely, considering this fangame has little to do with the usual tropes in Danganronpa, but I can see Veronika discovering the crime scene because she loves hanging out in the playground, seeing Arei's body in some state, and modifying the crime scene because she felt like it (also, the fact that Arei told the characters about her backstory while being in the playground might be a clue, Veronika might have overheard them while wanting to play there or idk)
Man, I thought we were about to have some kind of trial nullification with Arei surviving. EDEN X AREI EDEN X AREI YEESSSSSSSS Also Veronika’s VA is absolutely amazing
If this just a flashback, wonder what kind of scenario it is. Maybe Arei confronting Ace on how he treats Nico? or maybe scolding J or David about something she learned?
*Some quick Arei psychoanalysis* She repressed her own vulnerability due to her past experiences, making her massively insensitive and also triggered by other people's vulnerability and then "trauma demands repetition" attacking people especially in such moments, which made her appear like a complete sadist and empathyless sociopath. However because it was only repressed, rather than fully absent, it did break out when retelling her past and her moment with David, which psychologically speaking is a huge step forward, as she was starting to reintegrate what was repressed. Eden triggered her especially, but because of that trying to become friends with her especially had alot of potential for her to continue to overcome that repression and heal. She was on to a very good start to really end up turning a new leaf. If she had gotten the chance to.
Sooo many thought. First, sobbing over Eden and Arei. Second, J and David got despair sprites which were sick. Third, how did Ace find out David's secret? Did Veronika tell him? Veronika's had several interactions with Ace, and if David WAS telling the truth it would make sense if she had his. Also, her letting Ace know for the sake of entertainment would also be intreging. Don't really know how else he got it.
Something about the fish from the relaxation room being there is bothering me. It feels like that would be something easily cleaned up, so maybe they got the water ahead of time and used it to essentially fake an alibi? By killing Arei at night and making it seem like that couldn't be the case? IDK it just seems suspicious to me...
Number 1 David apologist is on her way to talk about what just happened: I know most people assume that David is evil, that he doesn't care about anyone, that he's the Manipulator, etc. But I don't think that's true. Just read his dialogue again....Does it really sound like he's making fun of Arei? It doesn't. He calls her foolish, yes, but that doesn't mean he thinks she's stupid. Cause he sounds absolutely furious that Arei died, he's angry that someone took advantage of her desperation for kindness. I mean, he literally wants the culprit to have a painful execution. He isn't saying "Hahaha, Arei is so foolish and dumb, what a moron". He's saying "Believing this note was stupid, but Arei was so blinded by her wish for friendship that she became naive". He's not being apathetic, it's literally the opposite. He's upset over losing Arei
yeah sorry but no i still think he is hiding another persona , his goody two shoes nature feels so acted and fake, plus we all barely know anything about david or anyone here personally , but me i find it sick how he is willing to enjoy seeing someone's death heck even when Xander died even teruko was not enjoying that even when min died she was not enjoying it at all , but him willing to enjoy someone's death that is just sick and cold hearted listen i don't want to be rude or cold over fiction but i think your a bit blinded by his "Kindness" heck in the rial Chapter 1 he was basically telling Teruko in other words to overreacting over being Accused as the blackend but now that a similar thing is happening to him now it is suddenly all serious when it happens to him ( look again i'm not trying to act rude to you it's just my blunt way of writing and typing messages ) ( but yeah i think your kinda being blinded by his kindness) (look all i have to say is that Nice does not equal good )
@@sarapinkdiamond Did I ever say that David was a good person? Of course he isn't, he guilt tripped Nico into revealing their secret and then acted like everything was fine even tho they weren't ready. I'm not blinded by anything, I just don't think that he's a Manipulator who cares about nobody but himself. Because his reactions to Xanders and Areis death were not fake. When he lashed out at Teruko during the first investigation, because she tried to cheer him up with Xanders words, he had no stars in his eyes. And he didn't have them either during his little Nagito monologue in this episode. Yes, saying that you look forward to someone's execution is incredibly cruel. But that just proves my point, he's only saying such cruel things because he's emotionally unstable after losing two people he cared about. Also, Teruko literally laughed after Mins execution. That doesn't mean she enjoyed it, but it was still a fucked up reaction regardless (even tho I understand why she did it). Anyway, back to my original point. I don't think that David really is this goody two shoes he pretends to be either, he's definitely faking some parts of his personality. I just don't think he's hiding something evil or whatever. It seems more likely to me that he's hiding all his negative emotions because he needs to look happy and hopeful 24/7 as an inspirational speaker. I mean, he said so himself back in chapter 1. He told Xander and Teruko that he's under a lot of pressure because so many people look up to him and that he can't disappoint anybody. You don't have to be a good person to care about others. 80% of this cast are absolutely terrible people, yet they still have someone they care about. As we see with Arturo in this episode, him being upset over losing his sister and stuff
I LOVE YOU SO MUCH YOURE LITERALLY THE SMARTEST PERSON IN THIS ENTIRE FANDOM THANK YOU FOR ACKNOWLEDGING THAT DAVID IS JUST SOMEONE THAT IS FUCKING OVERWORKED TO HELL AND NOT SOME EVIL MASTERMIND FOR HATING HIS PROFESSION I AM LITERALLY SHAKING YOU UP AND DOWN SO MUCH /P
After watching this episode, I'm more and more suspicious of Levi. He doesn't seem to be helpful in solving how Arei's murder happened, rather he wants to blame her murder on someone else. He is also strong enough to hang Area, for example, I doubt that Eden or Nico would be strong enough to do so. I think Levi's motive is about him being a murderer and that he holds no remorse. David is also very suspicious but it would be a bit too obvious for him to be the killer, but you never know.
yea same ive been very suspicious of levi due to how quiet he being throughout the entire trial. hu also being quite suspicious due to staying silent and her shouting at ace a lot. while her alibi is good due to eden being with her at the time ive seen some theorys that say the fish at the crime scene could of been a way to trick the group into making a incorrect guess on what time the murder took place so if that true then there still a chance she could of done it
Also, to all of you suspecting David: no, he's not the blackened, otherwise he wouldn't blabber about how cunning the killer was to trick Arei like that. David is smart, were he the blackened, he wouldn't stand out much during the trial. Hu, on the other hand, acts very suspicious (that accusation of Ace was very out of character) and yet stays away from being the center of attention.
Am I the only one who thinks that David is lying about the secret belonging to Xander and it actually belongs to Teruko? My reasoning is that: 1. Min is the one assigned with Xander’s secret. I saw someone point out in a previous episode (probably ep. 8) that the secret that min got about how they blame themselves for the death of their family which lined up with what was in Xander’s bonus episode. Xander also was given Min’s secret, as Ace, the only ultimate that is competitive, has a different secret, so that secret is referring to her poisoning other students to sabotage them. In the end, it would make sense for the dead people to have each other’s secrets. And 2. The wording of the secret. If I remember correctly, the secret starts of with how it was difficult to decide on one secret to list. What is the reason Teruko won’t say what her secret is? She has too many secrets that she doesn’t know which one is hers.
Now that we've gotten initial info regarding the secrets and note, I'm gonna give some thoughts on the "truth bullets" we have access to, given we haven't discussed the method much at all. Tape: Was found in the trash can and on the carousel. Most likely used to bind Arei's wrists. Rose noted in Ep7 that grippy tape was missing from the gym, and while investigating Ace's "body" in Ep6 a roll of tape could be seen that would match that description. Since MonoTV kicked us out right after, and only just unlocked the gym when we visited in Ep7. I'm guessing MonoTV may have moved the tape to storage during clean-up so the culprit could grab it and the rope at the same time, but otherwise only Ace, Eden, and Teruko would appear to have access to it. Fish: We haven't brought up Nico's statement from the investigation that no fish were missing after he ate dinner. I don't think they're lying here as they freely gave that information away, and I don't get why they'd offer up being nextdoor to the crime scene if they did do it. David's testimony is going to be crucial, as it will offer up the potential gap in time a culprit could enter. There's also the jugs in the trash can, which don't look like they can fit the fish, but could be the source of water if they came from the gym. Though in that case, I still don't know when the fish could have been removed. The Note: The fact that there are pieces missing is pretty suspicious, notably that it removes all three instances where the gender of the person "Eden" is referencing. That makes me suspect that some of the pieces were deliberately concealed. In a similar way, this would mean that the time on the note (though not am/pm) and Eden's name were intentionally included. That would indicate that the culprit knew they would have an alibi for the most logical 7:30 to come up in the trial. I should note that from around 7:15 in Chapter 1 Ep8, Whit's custom weapon is stationary, and while I do see differences in some of the capital letters, how the i's are dotted, the lowercase o's are different, and the lowercase t's break up the words in the note, the lowercase s's have a suspiciously similar figure-8 shape to them. Attack on Ace: The fact Teruko recalled the "crime scene" during the investigation feels like a Chekov's gun situation where it will come up again. This could just be to establish where the tape came from, but we could also move conversation to the wire, which could demand an explanation from Hu and/or Nico that could make them more suspicious. And for what it's worth, despite an apparent confession Nico's been extremely vague about what they actually did, leading me to suspect Hu's apparent blind trust in them isn't wholly unfounded. Probably a lot I'm still missing. Can't wait to see where this goes.
Whit said he got the note from a friend, presumably Charles And also, minnows are pretty small, only about 2-3 inches in length, so the culprit definitely could have fit them in the jugs
While I hope not, maybe Levi did it? David and Veronika seem to be sharing the Nagito/Kokichi role, and I don't know why, but I keep thinking Charles finding laundry of Teruko/Hu's old clothes is relevant somehow. Plus, this seems like something that'd require a lot of physical strength (there was also the comment about it needing someone much bigger than Arei to break her neck).
I picked up on something that could potentially be a clue. During the Arei/Eden/Arturo flashback, the time in the corner said "Afternoon". Eden said that the interaction happened the day Nico tried to kill Ace and the day that she had a falling out with Arei. That means that if she's telling the truth, this interaction happened during the afternoon of episode 6. Why is this important? Because if the theory that the killer/note-writer overheard Eden and Arei's conversation is true, the time that happened is the afternoon of episode 6, so if someone could've been near the infirmary at that time, they become more suspicious. The only interaction we saw during that same time was between Teruko, David, Hu, and Nico in the relaxation room, where they discussed Nico being non-binary. After this was a long skip to the evening, where Teruko leaves her room to retrieve her clothes in the dress-up room and runs into Eden, who believes someone was following her. Right after that was Ace's "body discovery". Also of note during episode 6 is that the scene immediately before the relaxation room scene was the dining hall fight between Ace and Nico, which took place at noon. Also present were Teruko, David, Hu, Levi, and Rose. Ace left the dining hall shortly after Nico did but before everyone else, but it is not known where he went. Levi and Rose were left in the dining hall at the end of the scene, with Rose falling asleep to the end the scene. It is not known how long those two stayed in the dining hall. Charles, J, Veronika, and Whit are all unaccounted for during that stretch of time. All four were last seen in the dining hall in the morning of that day, which was episode 4.
The possible stalker of Arei and Arturo's interaction was most likely Eden's stalker. The note was delivered somewhere between 2 nights ago so Day 3 and 4 were the two opportunities. Something that people have said is that PM and AM is unclear so the murder could have occurred Night 3 (although that was when Nico's murder attempt happened), Monring 4 (Teruko slept thru it), and Night 4 (We don't know what happened on the Second Floor)
Remember when Nico who said their alibi was that they was “wandering around” around the time that Arie dyed? what if they was the one who overheard Eden and Aries conversation and was the one that made the fake notes😳
SPOILERS. monotv said that even if it was suicide, it could still be assisted. maybe eden thinks she's the culprit by that rule, because evidently she talked to arei before arei was killed. maybe eden thinks she said something wrong and drove arei over the edge. what nobody except the real culprit knows is that, obviously, there was some kind of mechanism involved. the water jugs, the fish on the floor, the tape on the carousel bars. it was obviously some sort of pulley system, likely used after the killer broke arei's neck against the computer lab wall. (please please acknowledge the fucking broken wall in the computer lab that wasn't there before.) they wanted to make it seem like she *had* killed herself, so they'd be less likely to be caught in their plan.
The mechanisms for this murder looked really similar to Ace's "murder". With Ace the wire was wound around the ceiling fan but the fan fell for some reason. I think the killer thought of Ace's murder and tried to replicate it on Arei to implicate Nico. (I personally don't think Nico did it, and they were actually trying to get Ace down but got caught at a bad moment and had their social anxiety kick in before they could explain themselves) The only thing was doesn't make sense is the fish.
I know the thumbnail is just a flashback and someone probably already made the joke, but I'll say it anyway. Arie's Killer and everyone in the class trial: I thought you were dead?! Arie in the thumbnail: My death was greatly exaggerated. Side note thank you to everyone for their continuous hardwork on Danganronpa: Despair Time.
Spoilers: Heh I called in the last episode that David was going to be insane like and/or manipulative like Nagito and Kokichi and that's starting to come full circle here. Alas, I don't think he's the killer. That may be too obvious since he's definitely the most sus here since he's purposely keeping his secret hidden.
Spoiler This case just gets more and messed up. First, Arei is found hanging, and she said earlier that her classmates bullied her by putting ropes on her locker (clearly implying hanging) And now, we find out that her worldview was right. The moment she started being kind and genuinely wanting to change, she died.

i thought arei's redemption arc was rushed but after this episode... the scene with arei and eden almost made me tear up. the way her friendship with eden got cut off just makes her death more tragic.
Didn't seem rushed to me. She actually had wanted to be a good person for long time, and considering she got motivated by the ultimate motivational speecher it's not that weird that she had a 180°
Arei’s Killer: Oh, I thought you were dead.

@@anubis2133 I agree! It fits too well now.
IM afraid she Will be the next Culprit on the next chapter
That's in line with how she's always been depicted, however no one gave a shit... a lot of those moments in the 1st trial too, that cast just does not care about people losing their marbles!!
I think it'd be great if Ace took a shot in the dark to goad David into confirming his motive, just as Veronica did to him earlier in the trial.
I think this is the case or the paper with David's motive was on the floor somewhere and he found it lmao
Arei became my favorite character due to her design and personality. But this video confirmed it. She went from being an asshole brat, to sort of asshole friend by stopping Arturo from almost killing Eden.
Arei bestest girl...
and I thought I was going to hate her! half an hour later I cry with her scene with Eden! man it was so cute and sad!!!😭💔

Can we all ageee that Veronika has the most toxic tastes in men ever?~ But....I still can't help but like their relationship XD
Verturo so real. Arturo and Veronika is just really
The more I look in awe at this amazing Fangan, the more I keep thinking “Goddamn this cast is just REALLY fucked up.” every watch.

The note says that 7:30 but it never mentions that it was a.m or p.m so why did everyone assume that it was 7:30 am.

SPOILERS FOR THIS EPISODE:
David was being VERY suspicious during the trial. He absolutely knows something the others do not know, and he's good at hiding that. Now imma go full therapist mode on why he's probably acting like this:
SPOILERS FOR CHAPTER 1&2:
Now, we all know about David's "secret" right?
Honestly I'm so excited for next episode, and I hope my comment of David will come true.
... A very empathetic comment indeed. Poor David.
He's just like me fr
Now THIS is what I’m hoping for. It would make a hella interesting trial
SO WHAT WE LEARNED TODAY: AREDEN, CHARWIT AND VERTURO RIGHTS; DAVID IS A LIAR; HALF THE CAST IS LOSING IT; ACE IS APPARENTLY SOMEHOW HELPFUL
anyways I'm going to make an areden edit because I'm sad about them
good times 🥰🥰🥰
Arei why’d you have to die before you could kiss…😢
This has been a roller coaster of a trial. Spoilers Below for anyone reading
Omg that Arei and Eden was so cute.

@@ItsJustValHere Fr though, Ace is just a mood tbh.
I’m pretty sure Hu was with Eden cleaning up after lunch. I don’t know how solid that is though
@ItzRainy_Outside Thank you! Im not sure if cleaning the kitchen would cover the entire estimated time of murder, but at least she's got something
To be fair he did stick a knife to someone’s throat and threaten to kill them even if he didn’t actually do it
THATS WHAT IM SAYING!! Nico legit TRIED and FAILED after manipulating their friend to get the tools they needed. Not only did they get exempt from Immediate suspicion, but Hu still protects them like nothing happened.

B) They had something to do with the wall in the computer room, and are trying to hide it

I severely doubt Arei committed suicide, but it is possible she was considering it
@@dnidaz2553 Yeah I don't think she did either but iirc Rose did
My theory is that the culprit send this note to Arei and pretended to be Eden to get her out of her room. So now he's trying to help her out
@@snakesareamazing Ooo that could be the case too! I'm very interested into seeing where this goes now omggg

Oh my god, that was a priceless line.
So Teruko has been right the whole time to be distant around others
Some (Eden) shouldn’t be distant from, but still
@@elinasakura I mean... just because Teruko was reinforced twice doesn't mean that she's necessarily right.
With all the secret reveals and David continuing to be suspicious I’m going through the motives to see which one could possibly match up to our local motivational speaker
Entirely confirmed: Ace, Nico, J, Arei, Arturo, Rose, and Charles
Then the mostly confirmed
Eden who’s questioning her sexuality
Xander is believed to be the secret that wishes he joined his family when they died, this is due to his memories video where he recalls the events.
Whit is theorized to have lost his mother, I’m holding this theory to a higher standard because Whit is the only person who has mentioned their mother with Teruko in the laundry room, no one else has mentioned, or more importantly “omitted” their mother’s existence
Left to speculation
Min, David, Hu, Veronika, Teruko, and Levi
Okay now here’s where things get interesting
The location of Min’s secret is entirely unknown due to 1 factor: Whit, who wants to protect the secret with the potential reasoning that there is no world where Min has managed this beyond the grave kill therefore there is no need to discuss it
Mins secret is speculated to be the one about poisoning her competition due to her holding Xander’s secret and no one noting they got a dead students motive, potentially getting each other’s to make sure all secrets could be revealed.
Veronika is speculated to have the secret relating to self harm, the girl is crazy and has an overwhelming hatred for the boring, if anyone is going to take drastic measures it’s probably be her
Levi: after a lot of speculation, I’m landing on remorseless killer, admittedly this secret could belong to any of them, however the lack of remorse makes me believe it’s Levi due to his lack of grieving in episode 1 of chapter 2, and threatening to strangle Ace
Finally just Hu, Teruko, and David
Hu is one of the hardest to read characters, however I’m settling on the suicide attempts for her, Hu is the last thing from a stone cold killer, and her almost complete unwillingness to budge on revealing her secret would mean it’s largely personal, and it doesn’t get much more personal than that.
David is a manipulator, it’s just a question of if he is THE manipulator
Teruko: I believe she is a reason the killing game is happening, Xander mentions in his last scene alive that he needs to trust in himself that killing Teruko would solve whatever problem he was after, suspicious note to “kill Teruko Tawaki” could be a warning as opposed to an order, Teruko can not recognize her secret, yet knows about at least one other previous killing game due to her chat with Veronika in the playground, if anyone is the reason this killing game is happening(not the mastermind) it is going to be Teruko
OMG AREI PROTECTING EDEN IS SO CUTE
Can I just say (vague spoilers):
PROPS TO THE VOICE ACTORS THIS EPISODE WOW
I like that we are getting to know everyone’s secrets, cause that’s what I hate with the main and fan games, we don’t get to know secrets of the other students only the one that died and killed, and main character on occasion.
Idk what’s happening in the thumbnail but Arei looks PISSED
If she’s entering the playground, this raises a lot of questions about who she WOULD actually meet up with
She had to trust them, but not enough to wait until morning
Secret reveal was that morning
Which makes David somehow look EVEN worse
I’m still wondering when the letter Charles gave Teruko containing a motive is about
If it’s the culprit it’s be a bit anticlimactic, either way I think she has David’s secret.
Charles stated he had Eden's motive which was about hiding her sexuality unless I might be misinterpreting what you said.
I'm pretty sure the door Arei's opening in the thumbnail are the doors to the infirmary
I think David's secret is about manipulation.
The ball of clothes was found in the dressing room, not the laundry.
SPOILER
Nico: Tries to kill Ace
Hu: Leave them alone! They are just confused and were desperate!
Arturo: Threatens Eden (I'll leave the sister out because we don't have enough information)
Hu: You are a despicable person and I'm thinking lowly of you
Hu over here playing favoritism
Facts! Both actions were horrible but I’d more likely be harsher with Nico since they actually could have killed someone.

@@penguindude1235 Whit has an alibi, and a weak motive.
SPOILERS FOR LAST EPISODE (TW for mention of EDs as well)
This doesn't really relate to the trial, but I adore Veronika as a character.
I think that Veronica is a caricature of the average danganronpa fan!
We've gotten to the point where there are so many twists and turns idk where we will end.
Still got me on the edge of my seat with each part!
Hu is also very suspicious but I'm pretty sure she just girlbossed up a plan with Nico to try and kill Ace, no big deal 🥱
was thinking the same thing about levi, the thing about hu is that she has an alibi with eden washing dishes
He dose seem like the type of person to have fancy handwriting
I posted the same thing a few episodes ago. I thought it was Levi due to his strength(enough force to damage her neck), or Eden due to her suspiciousness at the time.
After watching this episode, it seems my suspicions have been confirmed.
I noticed he mentioned laundry, and there was a ball of Hu’s clothes near the crime scene.
If the murder isn’t Levi, then Levi was heavily involved in it.

@@fireworksforme2 imo Hu prob defending them cause she believes Ace is the main factor to that event
Nico wouldn't have attempted had Ace just left them alone, least what I think Hu thinks
AWE THATS SO CUTE STOP
THIS EPISODE WAS A WHOLE ROLLERCOASTER OF EMOTIONS. AND THE CLIFFHANGER IS KILLING ME
Also how LONG is this trial going to be?? They still haven't even discussed the actual crime scene beyond the fish AND Nico's murder attempt of Ace the night before, which I think it's definitely relevant to the case.
Maybe they will solve it in 2 more videos, the main topic now are the secrets
Veronika is if like Junko actually participated in class trials. I can't wait to see her become the rival character like Nagito and Kokichi
Definitely agree. It's like what if scenario where Junko was not a mastermind but a participant
omg im actually devastated that arei just wanted to change and be a good person then just died like that man
SPOILER for this AND Danganronpa V3
When they revealed Arturo threatening Eden I was scared he'd be the killer but with an Alibi, I'm relieved.
We need more characters who did terrible things but didn't become a blackened someone so they can stick around. They messed up with Kiyo in V3 but here we have another chance.
Also: Veronika, you are a messed up *QUEEN*
Arei saying "Don't leave me hanging" at 15:59 is unironically absolutely hilarious.
I believe she might be the victim of third case
Veronika forgot to take her Adderall 😔
So I did a little thought experiment about some remaining, unused evidence... (Spoilers)
I thought a bit about the flickering light.
Nvm lol
I am not okay this trial. This is going to actually destroy me and my poor heart.
Arturo's "WHAT DO YOU KNOW!?" Genuinely sounded like he was upset and in pain, one of my fav lines so far😭
ok, so, i really dont like how they didn’t let arturo explain himself, i know he’s already a bad person, but i don’t think they should blame him for what happened with his sister without knowing the full story
i think he might’ve grown up in a toxic/abusive household, and he left as soon as he was able to. for whatever reason, he didn’t/couldn’t take his sister with him, so she was left in that household. it ended up getting worse to the point she couldn’t handle it anymore, and you know what happened after.
obviously i don’t know if this is true, it might not be.
You have a good point, as the saying goes; “don’t judge a book by its cover”. In a trial; you must let the suspect explain themselves.
From how he describe the situation, it seems that his house could have left him feeling extremely repressed since he wanted to pursue his own life, and he had to leave, making his sister kill herself.
@@genkar1209 I see, well only time will tell.
I used to compile evidence per episode for other people's reference, but I've been busy so that hasn't happened lately. I think others have compiled info in the last two episodes, so I'll tackle something more niche.
All information on every personal weapon and every appearance of a person's handwriting so far:
Personal Weapon Status:
Xander - Model Gun - First seen by Teruko in 1-3.
Status: Technically unknown. Likely got cleaned up with Xander's body.
Only Teruko knows it's fake as far as we know.
Min - Pen - Revealed to class by Arei in 1-11.
Status: Likely gone with Min upon execution.
Arei - Rope - Shown to everyone except Rose, Levi, and Hu in 2-4.
Status: Used to kill Arei. Was available in storage to all students beforehand.
David - Megaphone - Revealed by Whit to class in 1-8.
Status: Unknown. Never officially seen.
Hu - Wire - Revealed by Whit to class in 1-8.
Status: Unknown. Never officially seen.
Rose - Turpentine - Revealed by Whit to class in 1-8.
Handwriting Status:
1-6: Min's shown on "Out of Order" sign.
1-6: Xander's shown on fake motive disk.
1-6: Unknown shown as "Kill Teruko Tawaki."
1-8: Likely Charles's shown on weapons list.
(Whit's handwriting has hearts for dots, but I don't remember what episode that was specifically mentioned.)
2-9: Teruko's shown on motives list.
2-10: Eden's shown on handwriting sample.
2-10: Unknown shown as letter to Arei.
Nico was trying to kill ace with wire that still wasn't brought up. Pretty suspicious for Hu
Oh shit Charles writing that list is actually really plausible
@@adidoesstuff5999 That makes a lot of sense! I thought it was a little strange that Whit had gotten the information, so Charles have the opportunity when investigating fits perfectly. I was wondering how someone would have even gotten in the rooms, but they were unlocked at the time so that makes even more sense. I'll add that to my comment!
SPOILERS
just gonna say this... and i mean with this love ... but i really think ace is not smart enough to do a murder like this.

This is crazy but hear me out. (Sorry for the essay)
Okay I've been staring at that forged note for ages and it's REALLY bugging me.
A) water trail from the relaxation room to the playground, they would have to mop it up somehow and quickly before it was noticed (to debunk the old clothes being used to do this, maybe the starch being from the fish food or something, Arei would have the same starch traces in that case, at least in her hair) B) how would the culprit not notice the fish? they can't have been hiding in Arei's clothes or something, at least not all of them, and if the culprit noticed any fish stuck to her, the would probably check to be safe right, plus that's a lot of fish hidden in her clothes
The culprit could grab the water before nighttime, or even just the fish honestly.
@@emdoesstuff4952 Yeah I noticed that too. That alibi the note gives Hu is very convenient.
Your theory is rather interesting and great! Thanks for the good for thought.
That'd be very unlikely, considering this fangame has little to do with the usual tropes in Danganronpa, but I can see Veronika discovering the crime scene because she loves hanging out in the playground, seeing Arei's body in some state, and modifying the crime scene because she felt like it
(also, the fact that Arei told the characters about her backstory while being in the playground might be a clue, Veronika might have overheard them while wanting to play there or idk)
Man, I thought we were about to have some kind of trial nullification with Arei surviving.
EDEN X AREI EDEN X AREI YEESSSSSSSS
Also Veronika’s VA is absolutely amazing
If this just a flashback, wonder what kind of scenario it is. Maybe Arei confronting Ace on how he treats Nico? or maybe scolding J or David about something she learned?
*Some quick Arei psychoanalysis*
She repressed her own vulnerability due to her past experiences, making her massively insensitive and also triggered by other people's vulnerability and then "trauma demands repetition" attacking people especially in such moments, which made her appear like a complete sadist and empathyless sociopath.
I'm 250% sure that jerk Ace will say - "His secret is that he's a killer!!!!"
@@hehiJJ9 That would a smart move but I feel like if you do it once, then it loses the effect

HOW THE HELL DID ACE KNEW DAVID SECRET??
BRO IM GONNA CRY AREI'S CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT WAS GONNA BE SO GOOD ARGHHHHH
Imagine not seeing the previous episodes of chapter 2 and seeing this thumbnail and going; *oH aRIe iS sAFe*
He's upset over losing Arei
yeah sorry but no i still think he is hiding another persona , his goody two shoes nature feels so acted and fake,
plus we all barely know anything about david or anyone here personally , but me i find it sick how he is willing to enjoy seeing someone's death heck even when Xander died even teruko was not enjoying that even when min died
she was not enjoying it at all , but him willing to enjoy someone's death that is just sick and cold hearted
listen i don't want to be rude or cold over fiction but i think your a bit blinded by his "Kindness"
heck in the rial Chapter 1 he was basically telling Teruko in other words to overreacting over being Accused as the blackend but now that a similar thing is happening to him now it is suddenly all serious when it happens to him
( look again i'm not trying to act rude to you it's just my blunt way of writing and typing messages )
( but yeah i think your kinda being blinded by his kindness)
(look all i have to say is that Nice does not equal good )
@@sarapinkdiamond Did I ever say that David was a good person?
I think maybe... he's upset at the fact that she's died... either trying to see stuff from her perspective?
I LOVE YOU SO MUCH YOURE LITERALLY THE SMARTEST PERSON IN THIS ENTIRE FANDOM THANK YOU FOR ACKNOWLEDGING THAT DAVID IS JUST SOMEONE THAT IS FUCKING OVERWORKED TO HELL AND NOT SOME EVIL MASTERMIND FOR HATING HIS PROFESSION I AM LITERALLY SHAKING YOU UP AND DOWN SO MUCH /P
@@mischiefwaluigi0446 DZNCGD THANK YOU! YEAH THERE'S SO MANY SIGNS AND HINTS THAT DAVID IS ACTUALLY JUST DEPRESSED AND NOT THE DEVIL REINCARNATED

Ok I haven't finished the episode yet, but I LIVE FOR ARTURO SLANDER HAPPENING RN
J ATE AND LEFT NO CRUMBS YET AGAIN
Also, to all of you suspecting David: no, he's not the blackened, otherwise he wouldn't blabber about how cunning the killer was to trick Arei like that. David is smart, were he the blackened, he wouldn't stand out much during the trial.
Hu, on the other hand, acts very suspicious (that accusation of Ace was very out of character) and yet stays away from being the center of attention.
Am I the only one who thinks that David is lying about the secret belonging to Xander and it actually belongs to Teruko? My reasoning is that:
A lot of people think he's lying about the secret.
I feel like Arturo forged that note to kill arei but someone else did the job.
The chat was literally scrum debating near the end-
Now that we've gotten initial info regarding the secrets and note, I'm gonna give some thoughts on the "truth bullets" we have access to, given we haven't discussed the method much at all.
Whit said he got the note from a friend, presumably Charles
And also, minnows are pretty small, only about 2-3 inches in length, so the culprit definitely could have fit them in the jugs
Dang, David is fr becoming a Mikado kinnie. That's funny. BECAUSE THEY HAVE THE SAME VA
I was today years old when I learned this ; o ;
The line delivery at 18:09 is so damn good, holy moly :,(
It's so hard to make me cry but that line broke me :(((
The Thumbnail Caught Me Off-Guard, For A Moment I Ready To Spontaneously Combust Into A Ball Of Theory-Driven-Flames. ^^.
SPOILERS.
monotv said that even if it was suicide, it could still be assisted. maybe eden thinks she's the culprit by that rule, because evidently she talked to arei before arei was killed. maybe eden thinks she said something wrong and drove arei over the edge.
what nobody except the real culprit knows is that, obviously, there was some kind of mechanism involved. the water jugs, the fish on the floor, the tape on the carousel bars. it was obviously some sort of pulley system, likely used after the killer broke arei's neck against the computer lab wall.
Spoilers:
Heh I called in the last episode that David was going to be insane like and/or manipulative like Nagito and Kokichi and that's starting to come full circle here. Alas, I don't think he's the killer. That may be too obvious since he's definitely the most sus here since he's purposely keeping his secret hidden.
Spoiler
This case just gets more and messed up.
First, Arei is found hanging, and she said earlier that her classmates bullied her by putting ropes on her locker (clearly implying hanging)
And now, we find out that her worldview was right. The moment she started being kind and genuinely wanting to change, she died.
Just finished watching, I cant wait for the next part! Also spoilers:
OMG THE CLIFFHANGER I WANNA SEE DAVIDS SECRET AAAAA
