    Thanks for the great review!
    I currently own the hip dac 1 and I love the warm sound compared to my Qudelix 5K which I use for my wireless needs. Would you recommend upgrading the hip dac 1 to 3?

      I probably would.

    They must have updated the contents peeps as it deff comes with a lightning cable if that’s something important to you 😊

    Don't think those lightning cables in your link will work with the Hip Dac. They need to be OTG cables.

    I'm surprised there's no Lightening adapter since iFi includes one with the $60 Go Link.

      Less is more. Just lile caveat. You get hundreds of it compared to only one food!

      It comes with a lightning cable.
      Even if it doesn't, it's not really a big deal since Apple is moving to USB C

    It’s silly that a device this large and expensive has no BT when their cheaper GoBlu has it. So much of that case must be dead space with such a short battery life. Qudelix 5k is half the price and 1/4 the size with more features. Womp womp iFi.

      Bluetooth kinda defeats the purpose of a dac.
      Digital to Analog Converter.
      So you want to convert the digital signal to analog and then convert it back to digital? 🤔

    • @vaneast411
      @vaneast411 7 місяців тому +1

      no... the analogue output is the amp.. the bluetooth signal, tho compromised is still digital - I stream from my phone to the dac via bt - then it is converted to analogue for th iem's/headphones@@Denvercoder

      @@vaneast411 Look up the max bandwidth on bluetooth and airplay.

      You want a DAC for lossless / Hi-res audio. As soon as you introduce Bluetooth into the equation its all back to lossy audio.

    • @vaneast411
      @vaneast411 6 місяців тому

      I don't care that Bluetooth is lossy... it's very convenient to connect my iPhone to my Centrance M8 headphone amp with plenty good fidelity with a range of both closed back headphones and passive noise isolating iem's@@MarkJT1000
