Women at the Helm Webinar

This webinar, organised by The Nautical Institute Younger Members Council (YMC), brings together seafarer Sabeena Poonwassie, former sailing officer Jillian Carson-Jackson, and shore-based maritime professional Nitzeira Watson Stewart, to put a spotlight on the benefits of a career in maritime. The panel, which will be moderated by Chief Officer Emily Bull, will be examining the misconceptions within the industry and putting forward ideas not only about what can be done to encourage more women to choose careers at sea but also to increase retention levels of those who are currently working in the sector.
