Did Nico not understand that having your car modified will OFTEN invalidate any manufacturer's warranty? Even if a modification has nothing directly to do with the problem, they'll STILL usually try to use ANY modification as a reason to deny warranty service. Oh you're engine blew up? But you changed the shocks and suspension, so the Engine warranty is no good now!
Ya they can try to, but those mods don’t void the powertrain warranty

Yup! Can’t blame Ferrari from wanting to get out of 💰💰💰 I dunno…hammering on the rev limiters isn’t doing the car any favours. Not just Ferrari, Ford, Chev …start changing exhausts and something goes wrong…you are done!
The thing is, at some point…these guys after making all these vids of torturing their cars…will want to sell them …there is no way in hell, anyone would want these cars without a heavy depreciation…so if it needs a motor and trans replacement…You wouldn’t be on the hook for expensive repairs/replacements

@@withmatt1062 Warranties are usually invalidated with any product if you modify how they operate. An after market exhaust definitely changes how the car operates so Nico is out of luck. It's even worse with Ferrari because they don't like modifications of any kind since they believe it hurts the brand.
Were the issues caused by the modifications or the installation of the modifications... it's something nobody knows.
That's exactly how I imagine exotic car owners look and act like....
This is just people with money brother, people that have power tend to use it.

That's italian cars for you. I have a Maserati Granturismo. Amazing sound, great fun but you dont feel like a hot shot when you are pushing your car through a stop light after your car just decides to die randomly. Yeah it was covered under warranty but the three hours of waitting around for the tow truck and week at the dealer really puts it into perspective. I hope they get your Ferrari sorted quickly!
That's why you need VERY dark tint on Italian cars. So the 'poor people' can't see you stranded on the hard shoulder in your $200K 'supercar'... While they happily cruise by at the 'max speed limit' in their Honda.

Wife’s dad had one. Not fast at all but that damn sound is the best I’ve heard on anything legal in my entire life, plus it’s the sexiest shape, perfect curves and combo of elegance and aggression. Ironically novitec do a great supercharger kit for it!

BMW can even check if you've tuned you car, which invalidates the warranty too. I bet Ferrari can do the same.

If these cars didn't cost so much you might think they were junk. Did you see that little silver Yaris passing you on the highway? Cost 15k new, has 180k on it and still hasn't broken yet (owned one). 😂
The 812 really is just a 'flex'. At least the mid-engine cars can be great 'Track Cars', but I doubt Nico is doing many track days, and there are far better options for a GT from Ireland to Rome... Good luck! Hope it's just the computer needing a raboot.

Yes when you modify your car you're not cover anymore with constructor guarantee. Is it possible that due to modifications (especially with the exhaust) the car malfunction ?
I've seen you on Matt Armstrong's channel never looked up your channel but then somehow youtube recomend your videos which are top class so do more collabs
I feel sorry for you Nico, after only 3 months it should not happened. The modifications have nothing to do with the fault, but this is only my opinion. Hope you will have luck sorting out your car.
You're correct. This seems like the electrical systems are shot, and Nico only did an exhausts system swap. But that's just how car warranty works, once you invalidate a clause, the entirety of the warranty is voided.
It's a shitty practice, but it is what it is sadly. Hope Nico gets it sorted out though.
The exhaust has quite a lot to do with the engine. It affects the dynamic pressure of your engine. It also effects your horsepower. Pretty sure it can have an effect on heat too (in the engine and the surroundings of the exhaust). So they have every reason to remove the warranty. Sorry Nico.
@@MarketingGuy Unless it's done by some chop shop by a coked up technician, an exhaust swap is pretty much harmless. Especially when it's done by someone like Novitech.

Who can think of modifying a Ferrari 812 to make it sound better than it already does 🙄 it's not for nothing that Ferrari engineers have spent years developing the car 😬!! but being a person who defends watches in their original state!
Ferrari engineers have to abide by regulations and tailor the car to the majority of buyers. There’s a big difference
I agree bud , it's like buying a patek and then modifying the movement yourself , then when it breaks taking it back to patek, being surprised they aren't interested.
These super cars have to be driven with care or at a consistent speed on a track to keep the engine in a way it was designed to run , not treating it like its a Ford escort and fraping it about in a car park and opening it up for 30 seconds on a normal road , no wonder they were all breaking down.
He will literally go bust just constantly fixing his car.
He learned a huge lesson in why you don't buy cars like this , you lease them ,even the very rich will lease one if its going to be driven like that.
In fact the rich rule of thumb is never buy anything with an engine when it can be leased. Depreciation, repairs etc.. and you realise they are money pits

Your trip reminded me of one of mine when I burned up an alternator in my new SL55 back in the day. Turns out doing donuts just makes them run too hot and burn up. Not enough air flowing to cool them.
Could be an alternator problem or a loose connection, wire etc... If your battery isn't charging or charging properly it can throw on all those code and warning lights... Explains also why it starts with a jumper pack.... Most likely the guys who worked on the car probably forgot to tighten something...or even a loose earth cable... New subscriber from MA. 👍🏼
