Hey guys this Video is only for the RWS mode of the Hornet, We don't have TWS at this point due to the whole Early Access thing, Once that becomes available I'll make a Video for that too.

It's "bar" not "box". 6B is a 6 bar scan, from each slice, in order, decreasing elevation as you go.
VsubC, Vc, is' velocity - closure or just "closure rate". Combined with that aspect angle, you can see if it is to, or from you, in a moment's glance. on the HUD symbology.
I'm a former Hornet Driver btw.

@@mayurchauhan1 I don't care if you're from Mars, the aircraft isn't what does the shooting down, otherwise, we'd never need to train pilots. You put a well-trained pilot against a pilot that isn't as well trained, and don't put ROE on either pilot that inhibits them from defending themselves, and more often than not that better pilot is going to shock that other guy despite numerous technological advantages. I don't know that this is what happened in the case we're talking about, but I do know that Richthofen said this over 100yrs ago, and he was right: It's the man, not the crate. You train the man, you maintain the aircraft.

@@GrowlingSidewinder Not sure you can help me with a couple of questions regarding the F18.
One is, why is it the top speed is only around 800 knots? No matter what altitude I fly at with a clean loadout I can't seem to get it above that.
Second, is there a way to land at airfields that do not have a TACAN station by tuning into a radio beacon? I see all kinds of airfields on the caucus map with no tacan.

Well you've done it again. An awesome vid that's helped me understand the Hornet radar. Now I understand why I have had trouble finding and locking targets. Can't wait for your weapons tutorial?

Please tell me you are a flight instructor! As a flight instructor myself I decided to hop in DCS a few days ago and I want to be good at this but as you know the f-18 systems are no G1000 lmao! I feel like I’m listening to an instructor right now learning the military side of aviation instead of commercial! Amazing my guy!

Great tutorial, even for a complete beginner this would be understandable! The main challenge with all these available functions is how to use them efficiently in real time - especially if u have a primitive HOTAS and need Mouse + keyboard. (And not all functions have even been implemented yet... ) Three ain't no active pause if u wanna play realistic or on a server with bogeys around... 😀
