I've never seen the police arrest anyone on here. Do they have the authority to arrest people? I know if those trouble makers were in the US that they would be arrested. Handcuffed and on the ground. I've seen them touch a policeman and that's a no no here.

I wanted to say, but trying to be respectful, that the most ridiculous looking garb on a person from head to toe is what those clowns are wearing but it's their culture so we say nothing. I was quite surprised by this groups actions. I always thought they were respectful, kind peaceful folks but I was wrong and very disappointed in their behaviour.
How soon they forget! I’d say they have major unresolved resentments and are looking in the wrong direction for somebody to be angry at because the British troops had a lot to do with freeing the concentration camps as did the Canadians and later Americans. I actually think that they should be banned from horse guards for ever they’ve had many chances to make amends, and they have not. They have participated in taunting and disrespect, ever since they started visiting the horse guards.
I believe they have been treated with respect by the police and the horse guards, and they really have not earned that at all. There are no consequences to them at all and in fact they are getting attention. I think that they should be charged and find, and made to go to court formally to answer to the judge about their behavior. Might I add to that that I don’t expect anybody to pay attention to what I think because I’m all the way in Canada.

They will make the same mistake next time by being disrespectful of the Guards. They have been told NumerouS amounts of time. It has never stopped them continuing their rude behaviour over and over again.
Just curious, how come a few people have been ordered out, a few never allowed back in the court yard, yet they haven’t. And they are the group of people I continuously see being rude, disrespectful, not allowing others to have photos taken with the guards as also many in their groups stand together in front of the guards.
Why are they still allowed in? It totally fascinates me.

Why hasn't that family been banned from horse guards, they are always disrespecting our soldiers they are a disgrace.
My observation is it has to be truly awful and dangerous to horse, guard or the public. I’ve only seen them ban one person, I called her “pink scarf Karen.” She took over the street, told people to get too close to the horse, encouraged them to place children in dangerous situations, was loud, mimicked the cops in a mean way, was bombastic. She monopolized the horses and no one could get their shot. These are not as bad as she was. Their disrespect angers me, but “pink scarf Karen” was so bad that I still start to cringe if I see a pink scarf in the crowd! This is a difficult situation because different law forces are responsible for different spots in this popular tourist location. Public relations are a consideration. That’s just my opinion, I’m just a layperson.

My family have bred horses for generations & the non stop chewing by this horse & head swaying all signs of anxiety.The level of street noise is dreadful coupled with people milling about, chatter & people strangers touching the horse is awful!!

Hi John, after watching your excellent videos, sharing your thoughts and knowledge of the Horse Guards activities, I have come to the conclusion the horses are communicating with each other. It is most noticeable on those horses who keep mouthing the bits and whose tongues are visible. We cannot hear them obviously, as they use a tone humans cannot hear.

They do but it’s an incredibly cloistered community life, among their own kind. Their lives are full of the most minuscule rules for everything they do and think. The men study Torah and Talmud, the women keep house, cook kosher, and bear children. Marriages are arranged. It’s confusing to me, why they spend this much time out amongst the goyim. They’re getting some psychological reward out of it, for sure.

I’ve been a horse woman all my life. And in places that there were horses and riders (or horses pulling carriages) in a public space, there were ALSO people employed to keep an eye out for… well. Manure happens.
But they would skillfully sidle in with a discreet rake/broom and bin and clean up the area around the horses, then disappear ‘back into the shadows’!
This is the King’s Guard!!
Why oh why don’t they have the same courtesy to their visitors??
Not to mention how much easier it would be on the Guard and horse not having to marinate over it for hours!

This is going to be a long observation, apologies in advance.
I see that you only focus on those particular Hasidic people, Elizabeth. The way they dress isn’t just a superficial fashion statement, Elizabeth. It’s part of their religion, some of it is actually mandated in the Old Testament. They can’t just take it off. I’m afraid that the next thing you’ll be telling them they should do, is to sew a yellow star on their coats. Do you have the same type of criticism for women in hijabs, Sikhs wearing turbans, Hindus wearing saris, nuns or priests wearing traditional habits and collars, soldiers at Whitehall wearing traditional Victorian guard uniforms, Chinese visitors wearing traditional jackets…. or fundamentalist Christians who proselytize in inappropriate venues? They also believe they were commanded to behave that way.
Clothing and hair are part of cultural identity. It’s tribal. Their “side curls,” known as “payess,” are religious symbols, and the instructions for men to wear them are found in the Old Testament. It’s not just fashion, they’re supposed to be a sign of reverence just as their yarmulkes (skullcaps), prayer shawls, and modest dress are. It links them to their history. Clothing won’t change who someone is, nor their rude public behavior.
Maybe it’s also time to reconsider prejudices. Lots of visitors dress differently and act inappropriately, but this group has much higher visibility and they keep returning. I do question their motivation, but not their religion. We need to be careful about what we say, because antisemitism is on the rise…. yet again. They don’t want to conform to mainstream fashion, as you do. This one group acts like schmucks because they consciously choose to act like rude schmucks, and putting on less modest clothing won’t change their inappropriate behavior. It’s their “inside” passive aggression that needs education or removal. That unfortunately would be bad public relations.
Groups like this evolve to become very insular because of the history of prejudice and hatred. They deliberately isolate themselves, and I can’t blame them. Their rude behavior has Iittle to do with Judaism. It’s easy to understand, every religion has fundamentalists and extremists at the fringes. This particular group’s attitude is terrible, may have something to do with their leadership’s role modeling. Generalizing it to others including other ultra Orthodox Jews, would be dangerous, it’s following in the footsteps of Hitler’s rise to power. Nazis laughed as they cut off Jewish men’s beards and payess on the street, and it gradually led to bigger actions like Kristallnacht and the camps. It always starts small.
Such criticism is exactly the same as what happened back then. If we don’t learn from history, we’re doomed ti repeat it. It isn’t their hair, it’s their rude attitude that needs to be addressed just the same as the other people who are inappropriate when they visit. The cops are stuck between a rock and a hard place because it’s a very popular tourist attraction.
