The new US Acoustics Lisa is killer and Mike replaced the spade terminals with input connectors to match the rest of the line. Sad to see the Barbara Ann didn't make the list, but I may be a little US Acoustics bias!! Great list buddy. Keep the awesome videos coming.
I like to use Marine equipment in cars thinking they are put together better. And all have to be CEI certified. So I've installed a couple of the Rockville Phenom 6 channel Marine amplifiers and they are a SQ amp with very good sound quality and decent wattage. I matched the amp to Polk DB+ Marine coaxial speakers, balanced and clear. I mean, it sounded better than I expected and at $200 a good value. Still working fine after 1.5 years. Class AB. It just isn't able to push subwoofers, even when you bridge the last two channels just not a subwoofer amp. But pushing your mids and highs I think is a really good amp, but it does take some space. Not a small amp but looks good. I can't say anything about the Rockville car amps, but this Marine Rockville amp actually impressed me, and I think it would you too. I think the S/N ratio is 95 dB. No distortion or even a "hum" from being turned on.
Well, I have a RF Power 400a4 that when I bought it had the lowest distortion rating of any amp I looked at. I was told it's the cleanest amp there is.
JP234 is all you need to know. If you think the JP84 was nice youll love its bigger brother. Sounds amazing and provides plenty of power. RMS POWER: 334W x 4 @ 14.4v - 2 ohms RMS POWER: 234W x 4 @ 14.4v - 4 ohms BRIDGE POWER: Range 640 - 740w x 2
I'm glad I just found your channel. It's hard to fing good car audio channels. I just switched over to the JL VXis but I was running the Rockford R2 500x4 and it was a great little 4 channel with built in clip light. It's only a little over $300. Had good power.
Very good list with a good variety of options. I woulld only switch the Skar RP-150.4AB for the Skar SKV2-100.4AB. The RP is a better deal but it basically only fits in trucks. The Skv2is still huge but it is mountable in a car’s trunk somewhere and it doesn’t need a fan to stay cool. I’ve had the Skv2 for 4 years and it went from my Tsx to my Accord and still sounds great and has performed flawlessly.
I had an old school Jensen 400 w. 4 ch. and I had 2 12in subs with two ch. And I had 4 6x9 and 4 6.5 with the other 2 ch and it was loud. You could hear everything really clear and loud from about a block away. Maybe two blocks away
Great video- maybe a morel mps4.400( used to be $299, but I think the rate increased) I've used it, and like the old a/b, on your maximusV2s, they would be loud! I have the jp, and love the blue. I have used the D'amore 1000 e series mono block, and it is incredibly clean on the output 👍🏼
@@HifiVega it has clean, dynamic output. Rated 70watts by4@4ohms- if you get one , I'd suggest the Maximus comps on them, they're efficient, as you know,& you'll get more output on that, or any amp you use those speakers on👍🏼👍🏼
We now need a top 10 Amps to get if you live in : San Francisco, Portland, Seattle. Then a top 10 for Amps that will keep their cool even in the summer without adding cooling. Something like that would REALLY be neat and I don't think it has been done before. My personal fav is the NVX and the NVX 5 channel for just $10 more. Its BIG. I like big imposing amps. And you have room to mount active cooling on the bottom plate.
There are some very good amps on this list, however emphasizing just power ratings isn't everything. For example, the Audio Control amp vs. the Kenwood where power ratings are actually not all that much different, the AC amp has only 0.01% THD whereas the Kenwood has 100 times more at 1%. (The AC also has a S/N ratio of over 100dB.) I know, I know, both are good specs and it IS a car environment, but these specs can also be important as much as overall power in closely matched amps. As someone once said, if the first watt isn't all that good, why would you want 249 more?
I’ll be running the skar rp150.4. I bought it for 220 almost 4 years ago. Never seen power as I’ve been waiting for something I can shove that long ass amp into. Lol.
I'm curious what people think of the Jensen 4 channel amps with the Bluetooth DSP built in. $80 Walmart n does 80rms at 4ohm, 120rms at 2ohm and 240rms bridged at 4 ohms. I'm running 3 currently n love them.
I use a Kicker CXA360.4. It's a great amp, a little power hungry but it's super clear and has plenty of power. I wouldn't mind checking out the Kicker Key though.
I decided to get back into having fun with car audio and found an unused OG "Orion 4004" in his Garage which ima just use til I source some better item 😁

That’s a tough one mainly because you’d like something compact, but off the top of my head you may want to look at full bridge Brazilian amps or maybe the new D4S amps

Granted this amp is not going to do rated but I needed/wanted a cheaper 4 channel to run my 6x9s tx skar audio and 3.5 in ds 18 Kevlar cone dash speakers and I was hesitant but bought an orion cobalt 3500.4 ab and it unbrigged gives them all they want and for the price the sound quality is very good ....cost around 100 us dollars and worth every penny.....
title states "top 4 ch amps" and not top 'budget'...so, why isn't Rockford Fosgate, Orion, Focal, etc make the list..?...especially the R2-500X4 with it's new features and ground breaking technology?
You should have #1 the RECOIL DI1200.4. FOR THE 129$ PRICE IT BLOWS AWAY THAT OVER PRICED STETSOM 😂😂 I TESTED IT AND IT SURPASSED THE SPEC RATINGS. 4-OHM 4 CHANNEL it was 263 watts rms. Spec was 210 .. 4 channel 2 ohm spec was 300watts. It gave 434. And at bridged 2 channel 4 ohm. Spec was 610watts. It gave 721x2 watts rms. And dynamic burst for shits and giggles. Gave a damn 1020 watts at 4 ohm bridged 😂 wow huh. So this is my #1. For the money and power amp. It is a beast !!!

The D’Amore Engineering amp is less than $200. The U.S. Acoustic lines are absolutely top notch. The Sony amp is excellent The Audio Control is nice. The rest are meh tbh. The ones I listed are great for sound quality. The Kicker Key is a good option for those who want an okay built in DSP function.
I know this is an old video but i'm a noob 7 looking ffor help. I like the Kicker Key esp due to the small form & DSP. 2 questions. The speakers I'm looking at are 125W @ 4ohm RMS, will i be unhappy powering them at 50W per channel? & 2) My factory system has a DSP built in, Will i see any benefit to the external dsp?
I keep getting recommended the Rockford Fosgate P400x4 when searching for amps. Where would you put this on the list for pure sound quality? I'll be using 4 Polk Audio DB651 (RMS 60W) that will have most of the bass crossed over into the sub, so they don't need to pump bass out. What is my best option for my situation most likely? The option to keep it behind my dash with the first one is appealing. The only amp I've ever had was internal on the Sony XB100BT 40W RMS. It fried in a car with bad wiring, very sad.

Hey Rob, love the content. I'm having trouble getting recommendations from folks that have used the Kicker Key 200.4 that also seem to KNOW what they are talking about. I'm looking into amping a six-speaker set (two 3.5 kenwoods in the doors, two alpine s69 component woofers in the front doors, and two s-r69.2 alpine 2-way 6x9s in the rear doors) If this was your speaker setup, how would YOU use the kicker with these and a stock radio? Amp front four wired in parallel on two channels and amp the rears on the other two channels or would you run the 3.5 and door components off of the amp and leave the rear 6x9s wired to the stock stereo? I've been running the Audiocontrol for just about a year,great amp it's a real little beast make sure you check your speakers specs this thing makes more power than rated,you might want to set the gains conservatively.

Kicker key 4 channel vs the nvx mvpa 4 channel amp, which would you recommend? I already have a headunit with dsp , time alignment ect, so the kicker key might be redundant. Or would it make it sound better? My speakers can handle 100 watts rms
If you’re confident in your tuning skills grab the NVX because y’all have more power. If you’re not great at tuning grab the Kicker key and you will be impressed.
I have the Skar RP150.4ab and It's a beast. Gain at less than half and my mids and highs are loud and clear. It is big though. It's the same size as the RP2000.1d. Keep on bassin👍🏼👍🏼

Hay Vega, what about the soundqubed s4-100? It is built in the best build house in china. Does 200x4 at 2 and you can get always find one for 179.99 got mine for 139 and it sounds good stays cool and has a very small foot print. What are your thoughts do u think it should make the list and what is more reliable that does 800rms??? I’m putting it with a new soundqubed s1-2250 which does 2700 rms you think I should keep my gladiator 10s at.5 pushing800 rms each or get the audio legion Maximus and use more my power?

I have 2 amps 4 channel in my sound system, a Orion xtr500.4 XTR and a Massive Audio PX3000.4, both are very powerful, but a want to know you opinion if you have tried them or heard how they work, must like quality sound, I know that you must be thinking that if I have them connected it’s because I must know how good the sound quality is, but I have them connected to a DSP so you know that a DSP control almost everything and Completely improves sound quality, that why I never heard them separately

hey vega im old but still hooked my old school id 12 svc i told you about might need a back up in the future so i bought an alpine s-w10d4 10 inch 4 ohm and i have another s60 alpine to back up jl 500/5 cause they both are long in the tooth lol , but i have a chance to a new 1dq 10 dvc , my ? is vega, do think thats a major sq upgrade in a bandpass or sealed box over the alpine? your opinion matters lol!!!!

love the acm 4.300. running 3 of them in my car and they do not disappoint. luckily i only paid $220 each for them

For SQL Zapco,Ground Zero GZUA6.200,Sundown Salt amps,and the only Brazilian amp id ever use for SQ purposes is the Sound Digital GAN amps.

Great list, thanks for the video. Have you ever tested the Sound Ordnance house brand amps from Crutchfield? The M75-4 4 channel claims 75x4 rms @ 4ohm, 110x4 @ 2ohm and 160x2 bridged @ 4ohm. Lists at $160.00, and I couldn't find any test videos of it from a quick search

Granted this amp is not going to do rated but I needed/wanted a cheaper 4 channel to run my 6x9s tx skar audio and 3.5 in ds 18 Kevlar cone dash speakers and I was hesitant but bought an orion cobalt 3500.4 ab and it unbrigged gives them all they want and for the price the sound quality is very good ....cost around 100 us dollars and worth every penny.....
title states "top 4 ch amps" and not top 'budget'...so, why isn't Rockford Fosgate, Orion, Focal, etc make the list..?...especially the R2-500X4 with it's new features and ground breaking technology?
You should have #1 the RECOIL DI1200.4. FOR THE 129$ PRICE IT BLOWS AWAY THAT OVER PRICED STETSOM 😂😂 I TESTED IT AND IT SURPASSED THE SPEC RATINGS. 4-OHM 4 CHANNEL it was 263 watts rms. Spec was 210 .. 4 channel 2 ohm spec was 300watts. It gave 434. And at bridged 2 channel 4 ohm. Spec was 610watts. It gave 721x2 watts rms. And dynamic burst for shits and giggles. Gave a damn 1020 watts at 4 ohm bridged 😂 wow huh. So this is my #1. For the money and power amp. It is a beast !!!

hey vega thanks for your advice on the morel tempo ultra 602 crossovers and i got lucky and found the crossovers reinstalled them in my toyota mpv with morel integra coax rear with 4 channel audison sr4.500 amplifier and that sundown you advised on before i got that sd3 10

The Audio Control is nice. The rest are meh tbh. The ones I listed are great for sound quality. The Kicker Key is a good option for those who want an okay built in DSP function.
I know this is an old video but i'm a noob 7 looking ffor help. I like the Kicker Key esp due to the small form & DSP. 2 questions. The speakers I'm looking at are 125W @ 4ohm RMS, will i be unhappy powering them at 50W per channel? & 2) My factory system has a DSP built in, Will i see any benefit to the external dsp?

I keep getting recommended the Rockford Fosgate P400x4 when searching for amps. Where would you put this on the list for pure sound quality? I'll be using 4 Polk Audio DB651 (RMS 60W) that will have most of the bass crossed over into the sub, so they don't need to pump bass out. What is my best option for my situation most likely? The option to keep it behind my dash with the first one is appealing. The only amp I've ever had was internal on the Sony XB100BT 40W RMS. It fried in a car with bad wiring, very sad.

Hey Rob, love the content. I'm having trouble getting recommendations from folks that have used the Kicker Key 200.4 that also seem to KNOW what they are talking about. I'm looking into amping a six-speaker set (two 3.5 kenwoods in the doors, two alpine s69 component woofers in the front doors, and two s-r69.2 alpine 2-way 6x9s in the rear doors) If this was your speaker setup, how would YOU use the kicker with these and a stock radio? Amp front four wired in parallel on two channels and amp the rears on the other two channels or would you run the 3.5 and door components off of the amp and leave the rear 6x9s wired to the stock stereo?

I've been running the Audiocontrol for just about a year,great amp it's a real little beast make sure you check your speakers specs this thing makes more power than rated,you might want to set the gains conservatively.

Kicker key 4 channel vs the nvx mvpa 4 channel amp, which would you recommend? I already have a headunit with dsp , time alignment ect, so the kicker key might be redundant. Or would it make it sound better? My speakers can handle 100 watts rms
If you’re confident in your tuning skills grab the NVX because y’all have more power. If you’re not great at tuning grab the Kicker key and you will be impressed.
I have the Skar RP150.4ab and It's a beast. Gain at less than half and my mids and highs are loud and clear. It is big though. It's the same size as the RP2000.1d. Keep on bassin👍🏼👍🏼

Hay Vega, what about the soundqubed s4-100? It is built in the best build house in china. Does 200x4 at 2 and you can get always find one for 179.99 got mine for 139 and it sounds good stays cool and has a very small foot print. What are your thoughts do u think it should make the list and what is more reliable that does 800rms??? I’m putting it with a new soundqubed s1-2250 which does 2700 rms you think I should keep my gladiator 10s at.5 pushing800 rms each or get the audio legion Maximus and use more my power?

Lucked up and picked up another arc audio amplifier. This time it was a KS 125.2 to run my tweeters. $75 I'm phenomenal shape. I wouldn't even be looking at arc audio if it weren't for you bro. I don't have much room for amos so the size of these Arcs is awesome. Can't wait to hear them

I have 2 amps 4 channel in my sound system, a Orion xtr500.4 XTR and a Massive Audio PX3000.4, both are very powerful, but a want to know you opinion if you have tried them or heard how they work, must like quality sound, I know that you must be thinking that if I have them connected it’s because I must know how good the sound quality is, but I have them connected to a DSP so you know that a DSP control almost everything and Completely improves sound quality, that why I never heard them separately

hey vega im old but still hooked my old school id 12 svc i told you about might need a back up in the future so i bought an alpine s-w10d4 10 inch 4 ohm and i have another s60 alpine to back up jl 500/5 cause they both are long in the tooth lol , but i have a chance to a new 1dq 10 dvc , my ? is vega, do think thats a major sq upgrade in a bandpass or sealed box over the alpine? your opinion matters lol!!!!
